- Dungeonborne, a first person PvP, PvE dungeon crawler set in a dark medieval fantasy world with mages, rogues and warriors. Where you can play solo or join forces with trusted companions in Coop to hunt for treasure, explore dungeons, and battle monsters. Escape before succumbing to darkness and greed. So today we take a look at Dungeonborne gameplay and test out all the classes, the rogue assassin, mage, healer and knight against other players and the many monsters of Dungeonborne. This is my first impressions Dungeon borne review. Is Dungeonborne the Medieval Fantasy Game We Wanted?

worse. gameplay is unbalanced in a way that's somehow worse feeling than DaD, ai is completely incapable, stats are overly simplified, models are buggy, maps are too huge. it's got a lot of potential but there's a LOT of work left to do
Is this dark and darkers palworld? Looks awesome though, like d&d upgraded.

Honestly didn't think much about this when I started seeing it but it plays really well! Even in Solo.
The knight assassinating the rogue was pure gold 🤣

@@MrJordie11 Nope. It's same concept, different development
@@MrJordie11 Dark and darker didn't steal assets. The devs working on P3 just jumped ship and remade the game concept when P3 got canned. Ironically, this game is doing the same thing Dark and Darker (and Ironmace, the studio) did, sort of. They just took the concept and remade it in their own image. Although this time, the devs of dungeonborne aren't refugees from Ironmace/Dark and Darker. There's nothing illegal or unethical about it though. I'd go as far to say it's actually a very good thing for the games. Keeps the studios and devs innovating, updating, and competitive.

@@goatthecreator9905 "P3" or "project 3" (no official title) was the precursor to dark & darker, a game being developed at Nexon by the same devs who would go on to leave, found ironmace studios, and make Dark and Darker after Nexon shelved P3 indefinitely.
at [ 15:25 ] it goes from first person to third person perspective. Anyone knows if one can choose to play it on 3rd person?

I hope this forces dark and darker to step up. Ever since they introduced Druid I’ve had a miserable time. Don’t get me wrong, there’s other classes with ridiculous abilities and perks. But I honestly have no idea how Druid made it past play testing.
faster npc and kick animation would be nice with some barrels to throw enemy
So dark and darker with better graphics really wish companies would stop copying each other and do something original.

I think I'd love this game a lot more if they added an extraction timer like Tarkov instead of a terrible Battle Royale circle like Dark and Darker.
When you level up the characters they gain stats and are actually able to kill stuff in a decent time even with starter equipment. Also you really need to learn move patterns of enemy so you know when to strike to increase your clear speed. So for me the slow killing time is not an issue.
I agree on the AI tho. The enemies are just too dumb and could use a little more intelligence.
Not sure on how different movement speed impacts battle, so far Knight can charge and Death Knight can pull enemies to him, to hinder them from escaping. Both these classes also have AoE around them which counters rogue jumping around atleast a little bit. Need more playtesting to have a judgemebr bout that.
I actually liked the dumbness of the enemies. Made it more fun just pounding them into the dirt.
Looks cool except for the unbearable door and lootbox opening timer and the slow movement speed
would get really toxic and competitive really quick thats the answer to the title lol

I love watching ESO's content, but unless this was a sponsored video, I'm gonna have to pass. This is just Dark and Darker with Dark Souls graphics. Seems very nice looking but also too similar in mechanics. Glad to see you branching out of the Bethesda games! Now I'm back to playing Enshrouded.

To me this game looks already better than dark and darker. A lot of quality of life improvements, possibility to buy space in stash, shared stash with other classes. Better trading experience overall.
The fact that you can grind materials and make your own bandages and potions and flasks, throwables are a cool addition. I had more fun in Dungeonborne compared to dark and darker as a solo non rogue player

Skyrim's world building and RPG goodness with Valheim's crafting and survival. The ultimate Game.

No, it's still way too janky and everything feels way too slow. It has potential though.

To slow, you need to be able to run with a stamina system and became louder af, if they adjust the movimebt system, it will be very cool
I actually prefer the combat here w/ skill based and slow TTK and obviously the visuals.

Cool game. Needs some help in the gameplay department but the idea is cool
I tried it but didn't enjoy it probably because of my love for wizard/mages type. Felt like the controls just wasn't up to my liking. I'm actually enjoying Lightyear Frontier though. Haven't found any RPG demos I like though.

This is literally Dark and Darker but on steroids, in terms of graphics, animations, lighting, playable classes, etc. These guys jumped on the hype train when they saw what Dark and Darker was doing and the amount of hype they got. Literally nothing different in terms of game play loop.
Yea but if it’s more fun and has better UI, who cares about the game play loop? All extraction games have the same game play loop. Most first person shooters have the same gameplay loop. Doesn’t mean it’s not fun ya know

I agree. I saw the title, watched the first couple of minutes and thought "Multiplayer, so no, not the game I've been waiting for". Hopefully Avowed scratches that itch this year.

For me it's not, because I won't be able to play it offline.
All depends if your going to be in dungeons with higher level player characters. Otherwise it'll be your normal gankfest game. Why grind when you can just kill players to steal what they have like you did.
