There is still a place for Ziyech in this Chelsea squad. When Joe Gomez is fit he is easily one of the most dominant CB's in the league when lined up next to VVD. I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to leave in search of more minutes but hopefully if he does it will only be a loan. Gomez and Konate as CB pairing seems like a promising partnership

To be honest I think he does ok in tight areas when in possession but could use some work. At times I believe the club plays out from the back too often which makes the link up plays predictable and stifles the midfield creativity just imo. I'd settle for him getting a solid amount of game time and work on his defensive attributes. If he happens to pick up some Matip style playing out from the back it also wouldn't hurt
