What's up biker bro's, thanks for watching & I hope you enjoyed this vid on my 1st impressions of the ALL NEW SPORTSTER S! If you enjoyed, please make sure to like, comment, & subscribe. If you haven't already, be sure to watch my review on the H-D Sport Glide: th-cam.com/video/KIScYIMHxvs/w-d-xo.html
The Sportster S does not come from the factory with heated grips. It is however wired for accessory heated grips. Harley will gladly sell them to you for extra.
You're right, it's definitely night and day. In fact it is not a Sportster at all. It's pure 100% Japanese. I ride a 2006 Sportster 1200L, and absolutely love it. I love the way it shakes, and I love the sound. Riding it is a wonderful experience. What you have there does not have any kind of experience. It has no sound, no feel, no character, no personality, no soul. Just like the dozens of Japanese bikes I have owned and ridden. Boring boring boring. I was so bored with Japanese bikes that I had decided to give up riding. Then I got the Sportster. WOW. It brought a whole new meaning to riding a motorcycle. It was easy to tell from the sound and feel that it was a true MACHINE. All those Japanese bikes had the fun engineered out of them. But not the Sportster. I've had it for over 4 years and can't stray off it. I'm planning to get a carbureted big twin, probably a Dyna. It is so sad to see H-D go downhill so bad. They have sold their soul. Even the M8 is way too smooth and quiet. It still has the Harley look, but none of the substance. I don't see H-D being around much longer.
I was glad to hear you say at the end that H-D will have other iterations of the Sportster S in the coming years because I'm planning to buy one next year. . Do you yet know what the future changes might be?
Heard its great minus the forward controls. Don't know why they didn't go with mids for default config. The engine is insane (only rode the Pan am but the sportster is just a de-tuned version). Only at H-D does the public get to ride vehicles before the engineers who spent years slaving on them lol (we constantly bitch about this fact).Glad you liked it, and glad to see you back on the saddle!
Everyone bitched about mids on all the new Softails XD Also, that 1250T isn't a de-tuned version of the motor in the Pan America. It's tuned for torque delivery and the torque/power curves are way different.
@@m3talc0re the pan am makes 150 HP. The sportser s makes 121 with the same bore and stroke. It is the same engine tuned to make less peak power than it is capable of. This is what the term 'de-tuned' means.
@@rossmischnick it's not detuned, it's retuned. It has lowered top end horsepower, but better low end torque and higher torque throughout the torque curve. It will take off much faster than the Pan America.
I agree with you in that I hope they’ll release the bronx. Personally I dont think I’d ever get a sportster S either. I prefer versatile bikes that are quick but also can do long distance ie performance oriented middle weights, baggers or adv bikes.
@@GenZBiker I’m personally more into sport bikes and naked bikes “more so the naked bikes” I’ve been begging for a modern American “sporty” bike. And the Bronx seemed like a dream come true until it was postponed 😢. The new 2022 ftr1200 is really getting my attention though. It still needs to shed some weight and a little shorter wheelbase and it would be perfect to me 👍 but I need to ride one before I decide
Great video man I really want to test drive that bike I really can’t wait to see the new Lowrider S 2022 but for some reason that sportster S keeps calling me
It comes stock w/ forward controls which makes it much more comfortable for me. Personally when I ride with mids, my right hip often seems to cramp up forcing me to stand up on the pegs.
when you rev high rpms when its time to shift just briefly let off the throttle and shift. Pulling the clutch in is not needed. Watch some videos on it, don't take my word for it.
Interesting! Now that you explain, I have tried that b4 but Im wary of doing that everytime. If I had a quick shifter on my bike itd be a different story though! But anyways thanks for watching man, be sure to subscribe & hit the bell icon to be notified of my future uploads 🙏🏼
The seat sucks after a few hours of riding around. I have had mine for a few months. They came out with a sundowner seat, supposed to have more comfort for longer rides.

@michael schaefer It doesn't do anything I want.

Bar rises and a Corbin seat helps with long distance riding.
Man I NEED to try this one out. Also, your audio sounds awesome man!
Appreciate the support bro! We gotta make some content together sometime soon 🙏🏼

True dat

lmao yall r saying the same thing
If they can pit some mini apes on the Sportster S it’s game on for me.
Put music onto the screen? Is there a speaker? So if I have a Wi-Fi speaker equipped helmet then the music app is kind of useless, right?!
Basically just works a remote to toggle between music I believe.
You need to compare the S to the Diavel or Rocket III. Comparing to the Evo Sportster is silly.
Test rode one, it’s a cool bike but not quite what I’m looking for. Still hoping Harley releases the Bronx

Detailed great review, looking forward to see this bike in person, how tall are you ??
6 ft tall with my moto boots on!

Wish they did a 11/10 version of this bike….just too small for 6foot+, looks goofy
Hey man, sorry to put this here but is your IG hacked?
Have you tried slip shifting? it won't hurt anything and it's smoother.
Never heard of that, what is it?

What about comfort compared with 48? Have 48 and orderd sportster s :)
Definitely more comfortable but not as comfortable as a softail might be

It does NOT come with heated grips! It's a $200+ option. It comes with the switch, that's it!
What is the top speed? 120 Mph?
Note sure, never found out. I’d guess more than 120 though
Did your Instagram get hacked?
Rocket 3 one of the fastest production bikes? 🤣😂
Way too small, at least it looks that way. Your pic on the thumbnail , you look so awkward sitting literally on top of the thing 😖
Sounds like a sewing machine
Every new HD does haha.
Geez…how many of these H-D videos with the rider not wearing even gloves 😬
Sounds like a exploited scooter
