      Thanks man. If you want to have a go , I’ll guide you though it . The buck converter for changing from running light to brake light brightness is a fantastic way to have that changed effect.

    Hi ! Very good video, I learned alot from it. Question. what is the size of the lower reflector 0:55 shows an image ? about 7 inches? I am buying a led strip to do such project. thanks!

      Thanks for the comment.
      Middle of the lower reflector is 23 cm ( longest top part of that reflector is about 25 cm). Good luck fitting leds . Makes the box look super cool .

    Why would you want flashing lights when the lid is closed, and bike off, besides draining battery? Would be better as an indication that the lid is open.

      Good question. I have two fake alarm leds on my bike . If I’m parked at home I turn them off or I have my bike in a Ctek charger all the time . When the box is closed
      1. I am not certain the internal led is off if the external one isn’t on and
      2. You can’t see at all if the led inside is off as it is so air tight .
      The leds Leo confirm power is connected to the box .
      If I hard wired it with no capability of box disconnection then I would always know there would be a connection . I’ve made other quick disconnects as well and sometimes the contacts fail .

    Bravo pour la vidéo . Avez vous une référence pour le kit led ? Je ne trouve que des feux stop . Merci

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching the video. The led kit is you ask about is simply strings of white 12 volt led lights wired under the red lenses. The internal light is also a strip of the same lights .

  • @iz723
    @iz723 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey do you have a tutorial or somthing for the internal light with the switch?

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t made a tutorial but it’s pretty simple . The light is a 12 v led strip . The power is always on from the battery . In line is a micro switch . When the case closes the light goes off but the micro switch turns off and the switch contact changes the connection to turn on the flashing led. When the case opens the led goes off and the internal light comes on. I have another in line switch to turn the lower off to both in case I don’t want them on.

      @@Dentinvent I see. I might need a battery solution as I installed the oem light kit to the brake light, so i dont have an always on 12V line. Thanks a lot anyway.

      Just wire a fused wire directly off your bike battery into the top box and you should be fine . Other option is a small AA battery led light inside the box .

    How did you remove the lower lens on the lower part of the top case?

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lower lens is removed by undoing the screws that are inside the case . Small Phillips screwdriver . Good luck .

    • @juggernet
      @juggernet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dentinvent Thanks. I figured out you need to slide the lens towards the center to free it up completely.

    I’ll just spend 46 bucks for the OEM light kit.

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would save you many hours as well. I like the ability to change brightness when you brake though .
