I love your videos, from just a humble disabled, left leg amputee/wheelchair veteran, after 25 years finally going back home to rural Maine, i can so understand/ connect to what you are trying to do, you're freedom, your peace!! But just as a cold world person 6 months out of the year, growing up poor with frozen pipes, for your water hose/pipes you have above ground, you can 100% avoid that previous froz3n situation. When ever you are finished using those houses/ pipes during freezing temps, if you can just gravity feed or any water in them when your done filling your tanks, there will be no water in them, or not enough in them to freeze solid. Just when your done filling tanks, disconnect each end, and slowly walk each end, to the next end. It will drain 85% of all water out, then next time, no matter the temperature, it will be open to use. Takes some time depending on the length of your hose but it will never freeze again. And thank you for your videos, your peace, your space, your calm in life, you may not know, brings so much to us viewers, especially this disabled vet, even helps me with my ptsd, i thank you so much with every new video, god bless you both!!
I'm in my 60s. I bought a barn that was being used to grow pot. Turned it into a barnominum, on a budget. Our dad taught all us girls to use tools. Your you tube videos make me feel at home. I love watching you build and dream and do things other women don't realize they could do too. Love listening to you laugh and see you smile! Your an awesome role model for other ladies!!!!!! Linnea, I am now 66 years old and just like you, I loved construction. I still work with my hands constantly making rugs or drawing or painting or just enjoying my retirement. But when I look at you, I think of myself a long time ago now. I was about your age working for Heldenfels. A construction company here in Texas and in those days I ran heavy equipment, loaders, dozers, scrapers, Water trucks, dump trucks ,rollers ,trackhoes, and backhoes. Those days were some of my happiest days. I had a boss tell me one time that I was a “ tough little cookie“. 😂😂 What I like the most about that boss was that he didn’t treat me any better or any worse than any of the men …I was an equal. I watch you and miss those days. Keep doing what you’re doing girl. You are amazing!!😻 ❤😊😊😊

We have to haul water too. We keep our hose and a water sprayer to clean out our barrels in the suv, drain it after use and this way its never frozen. This is what works for us in our region, yours may work for you. I live in South Dakota and we are not blessed yet with a well. We get our well water from our church.
I was in the back--cheering you on for putting the whole tile and stove and flue together!! I love how you go ahead and make things work when you aren't sure of them. You Go Girl!!

I was raised by controlling parents who lived by the social, economic, religious, etc... norms. I went 15 years without a dog because of their advice. Now, 59 and retired, I have 7 dogs. I am planning to move to Colorado. . .I want a small/tiny home on a big, 1+ acre lot. The last 14 years have been a time of great change for me. I love living in the company of dogs. . . I am done with the socially correct, politically correct, "what would people think" people of this country. My dogs have "damaged my home," but all I say is "I DON'T CARE." Everything can be fixed or lived with. Time with my dogs is worth more than money.💜💜💜

I grew up on a farm with a cast iron wood stove. I miss that wood stove. Splitting wood. Stacking wood. Feeding and stoking the fire at 3am. ❤❤

I was always taught growing up it didn't matter how fancy or big of a house you had as long as you took care of it, and you work for what you want in life. "You are getting dirty paw prints on my wood. . . That's OK" You have no idea how that one statement resonates with me. I was raised by controlling parents who lived by the social, economic, religious, etc... norms. I went 15 years without a dog because of their advice. Now, 59 and retired, I have 7 dogs. I am planning to move to Colorado. . .I want a small/tiny home on a big, 1+ acre lot. The last 14 years have been a time of great change for me. I love living in the company of dogs. . . I am done with the socially correct, politically correct, "what would people think" people of this country. My dogs have "damaged my home," but all I say is "I DON'T CARE." Everything can be fixed or lived with. Time with my dogs is worth more than money.💜💜💜
