- 👋 Today we check out the all new 2022 BMW X3M Competition! The new redesign has some great additions and features along with a great color combo for this particular model! The BMW X3 is in the middle of the SUV lineup for BMW and still offers plenty of space and a great ride! In todays review we check out the all new 2022 BMW X3M Competition!! With this trim being the top of the line for the X3, it offers not only tons of power, but plenty of space! The exterior has a great design especially finished off in this white and has great accents finished off in brushed aluminum and gloss black! The interior has very premium feeling materials from the leather to the trim pieces and even offers a full panoramic sunroof! The seats are a great combo against the exterior color and really pops! The all new larger center screen offers everything you need including apple car play and android auto along with multiple other settings and features! The drive for the all new BMW X3 is great, very smooth and would great for a daily! I love how you have different driving modes depending on how you would like to drive the SUV and you can hear a slight change in the exhaust note tone, but nothing crazy significant. BMW always makes fun to drive cars and SUVs, this X3 M will probably hurt a lot of egos at the stop light and the track.
Haha yeah it's a quick SUV! Definitely didn't push it with the rain, but it could hang with some cars!

This was another ASMR kinda vibe with the drive in the rain. I see this one has Continental tires so it's in good hands. Im impressed how this X3 handles in the rain!

Nice. I’m picking mine up in a couple days. It’s a 2022 fully loaded. Original sticker was $90K dealer selling for $71. I found the original owner on the bimmer forum and it was a well maintained garage queen mostly with highway miles, Dinan exhaust and some extra carbon bits inside.
Just ordered a 2022 X3 M Competition in Black Sapphire Metallic over the Sakhir Orange leather. Your video helped me greatly when making my final decision on the interior color (was also considering the Tartufo or the Midrand Beige). @@Thailander27QN ordered mine end of December, they told me 8-10 weeks but I only recently got a scheduled production day for middle of April I believe. It depends on allocations

I just ordered a 2022 X4 M Competition after driving it and the x3 M Competition. The ride was very nice in Comfort and Sport and Sport was pretty much like my M4. I also drove a 2021 X3 M Competition and found the ride in Comfort to be too stiff. In the 2022 Comfort was better than the 2021 version and my M4. Everything about this updated version looks really nice and in the end I just preferred the overall looks of the X4 M Competition.

Thanks Ken for your inputs on ride quality which really helped me in finalising my car. How about the body roll compared your M4?
@@vraj3966 I haven't noticed any body roll so about like the M4. The tire pressure was set to the over 100mph values and I dropped it to the less than 100mph value. It did help with soften the ride a bit. My wife says it's fine and much better than the M4 ride.
@@kenh4536 How is the noise transmitted through the suspension over bumps ? I had two 2020 X3Ms, but sold them as the wife didn't like the ride as well as "jumpy" throttle. Would go back into one if the suspension and noise was better, I did hear with a software upgrade the drivability improved.
@@jaepark8922 When these cars are delivered the tire pressure is set to the greater than 100mph values of 38/44. For the street the value should be set to the manual specified less than 100mph value of 33/38 for maximum comfort. If you still don’t like the ride you can opt for the Michelin 4S OM Star rated tires. Some posters have reported a better ride quality over the Continental’s. Other posters reported significant ride improvement after switching to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season UHP tires that come standard on the new Corvette and Macan. If they are good enough for them they should be fine for the X3/4 M Competition.
On my 2022 X4 M Competition the ride has improved throughout the break in period. I dropped the tire pressure to the less than 100 value which made the ride much better daily driver around town. Over time I noticed the ride has progressively improved. I read somewhere to leave it in comfort for the first 1200 miles which I am doing. Around the 700 mile mark I started getting heads up messages saying uneven pavement ahead on some rough road surfaces such a train tracks and rough patches I previously drove over. It still is a little firm over some bumps and imperfections but not harsh. I currently have 1050 miles.
I haven’t noticed any noise with any of the bumps. The throttle is very smooth probably due to the transmission change.

The fender flares are painted white. I think that's there wider look for this. Looks much different in person then the normal X3
agree it needs a wider rear to differentiate from the non-M X3s

That's a pretty solid feeling car for sure. I'd rather have the BMW. Feels more tossable in the turns and more playful

It should. But some 2022 BMW's we've seen don't have it. So just order it with it

My friend also just bought a brand new 2022 Audi SQ5 and the wireless charging is not on his either due to the chip shortage. Thanks again!

Too bad the digital gauges do not replicate traditional BMW dials. Wish there was a software update for that.

How does this compare to F-pace SVR?
I vent really been around that car. But I bet they are similar. Just a different take on the same class of car. Personally I'd buy the BMW since it will be reliable. I don't trust Jag lol

Personal preference! It's a cool design, but the back glass being slopped like a coupe robs it of interior storage, but it's nice too!!
Omg us Canadiens got ripped off for the gauge cluster. Us is now a generic screen with no more digital cockpit I guess of the chip shortage.

How is the ride? harsh/bumpy??
Honestly I thought it was comfortable. In comfort mode it's more stiff then a basic X3, but comfortable for the daily driving in my opinion. I think everyone will want something different, so I'd drive one if you can to see if you like it. Some people say it's too harsh. But I'm so used to sportscars that this was very luxurious and comfortable in my mind.
Can someone 6’4 fit in front and back?
I would sit in one to see how comfortable you would be. It'll be different for everyone, but the backseat at that height will be pretty tight.
How’s the ride quality?
It’s really good!! Comfortable and quiet, even in the rain!!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed is the ride comfort better than the pre LCI X3M? Test drove a 2020 X3M and the ride was so harsh/brutal even on comfort mode!
@@jeromeclemente1769 We've driven the 2019 and 2020. Honestly we are so used to sports cars that I think the X3M rides really nice. No complaints with the comfort mode and I like how stiff it is in the performance mode
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Last week I drove a 2021 X3M Competition and a 2022 X4M Competition and the ride in the 2022 Comfort mode was much better than the 2021. So good in fact that I ordered one.

No.. The X3 is very new for us and 2022 they did some major changes. Awesome SUV and it's been selling well in the States

X3M or Macan GTS?
I'd go with the X3M! The Porsche Macan is a very nice car and I've been able to review one, but I think the BMW is more sporty and you get more for the money. I feel like the Porsche lacks some of the tech offered in the X3! Both are great though and really sporty SUV's, but I'm a fan of the BMW!
Even for daily driving?

It aint practical😂 it's expensive but if you want a cheaper version with the power and speed, go for an M40i
It's definitely a practical SUV, not sure why you don't think so. It's spacious for it's size and could be a great daily! I would agree with you on getting the M40 or even the M50i because you can tune that and get more power for a lot less!
My mum’s 2019 X3 M40i sounds worlds better than this thing. They really neutered the exhaust tone and volume on the refresh. I thought the M would bring some of that back, but nope.
I think the 2020 year model was the last with the good sounding exhaust! We've noticed a few other brands have toned down the exhaust note and not sure if that's because of regulations or not, but with the M package, you think it'd have more grunt to it!
My dad had a 2019 X3 m40 and the sound was pretty nice but he switched to the X3M comp and I can confirm that the sound is way better

get rid of the twin turbos and return to aspirated V8..and flush that gaudy faux pop-up screen inside the dash where it belongs..and maybe I might return to consider returning to owning an M..sorry guys I'm just anti- turbo$$$$
lol sounds like it. But these turbo engines are way more reliable then the V8 ever was. And makes so much more power. Those V8's are slow compared to what this I6 can do! So much more fun, and with some mods and tuning these make twice the power a V8 could ever make
