2.5's would be good for hucking yourself off a roof, but do feel sluggish and less responsive. They do also rub on grinds. Surprise to see Devon Smilie with big ass tires. He rips though.
The fact that tires stick out more can sure save hubs/spokes though.... If it's a smooth sidewall it will still grind quick as well.... 2.3 is enough for me though as I got 4140 hub guards
Interesting points! Clearly if riders run them and still do wild stuff it must be alright for something. I had that 2.4 in the back and didn’t hate it at all. The only thing I ran into was clearance on my older brakes
Haha I'm here! Yeah BMX the game definitely keeps improving there's a couple things that broke from this update but overall the game does feel quite a bit better and not so slow!

The reason cuz of the 2.55 thing is because mainly when a hard street rider tackles his wheel being the tire so fat it will rub on the sides so being that wide of a tire stay prevents and ensures that you'll have less trouble with that, so mainly is to worry less and ride more i guess (?)
Yea i can kinda see that. I ride a 2.4 front and a 2.1 rear but I ride a trails frame. I didn't notice anything with the 2.4 on my street frame but I wasn't really looking for it

one thing i did notice is Supercross bmx,carbonfiber stem sold out,even though people were hate/not trusting in the strength. bring on the 2.55 tires best way to deal with some of the new geo frames are big fat tires,even though alot of the riders i kinda know like the trail geo,or are putting a smaller rear tire to rake out the front.

I for one miss having a pizza cutter skinny tire in the back.. 1.95 used to be normal for a back tire.
I just went to 2.3" front and back (2.38" inflated). While it does feel better in the front, it does feel a little slow in the rear
Oh yes. That's why I still ride 1.95. Tried 2.3 and hated it...

Merritts Begin tire is 2.5 not sure of 2.55. Merritt has best tires in the game.

Tires are good at 2.5 and that even seems to big for me . I run 2.35 2.4 max
