Awesome, Thanks! I used an Ubuntu 22.04 template and the instructions worked perfectly. You'll have to uncheck the "Unprivileged container" option and Ubuntu 24.04 won't work because it installs a recent copy of of Tomcat.
Fat like to @Ed Cactus for this video. To those having issue with not finding the tomcat package, I was receiving this same error when trying to create the container based off a Ubuntu 24.04 template. I reverted to a 22.04 template and the instructions worked great!
I saw another commenter share this issue. I just created a fresh container and followed this process without issue. I would try using the Ubuntu distro I used in the video, or try installing Tomcat before starting the script. Sorry I am unable to reproduce this issue to troubleshoot
@@ELEMENTaLITY_NL Sorry I can't reproduce your issue I just spun up a new vm and ran through the steps to confirm it was working. Maybe try installing Tomcat outside of the script or a different OS for the container
@@jeffrisdon2803 Hi if you watch the video a bit longer I go over changing the index.html of the TOMCAT service to redirect you to the guacamole service otherwise yes, you will have to add /guacamole after the address
Hi Thanks for sharing. just wonder how to make the URL as HTTPS after redirect? I'm host a cloudflare zero trust, after redirect to that page & become not safe http....
Hi there you could use NGINX proxy manager with Let's Encrypt to create certificates for your services. There are other ways but NPM makes it easy with Let's Encrypt. You forward from cloudflare to your NPM server then NPM handles the cert and also forwards to your guacamole service.
@@edwardCactusthanks for your replied. yes, i'm using NPM + cloudflare. But due to it redirect URL, then become unsecure page when I reach guacamole..😅😅
@@andersonong4404 sorry I'm not sure. I use cloudflare for dns which points my domain to my npm instance. NPM provides the certificate with Let's Encrypt and it has SSL when visiting over Internet
Yes I found out my recording program was recording audio in stereo after the fact while my microphone was sending mono. Is there anything specific you would like to see in proxmox?

What step of the process is producing the error? When you try to run the installation script?

All your description links are broken.
Sorry about that looks like they were truncated. I will get that corrected this evening. Sorry I am not a TH-camr just a lowly sys admin 🙂
I added shortened URLs hope that works if not I can DM you. Thanks
