    what if you mess up while recording a layer, how can you start new from the last layer without having to record everything from the beginning?

    can you then export from piano to some kind of mp3 or other digital format without going through having to record audio, which introduces noise unless you have a recording studio? If so, how?

      @patrick416  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can record directly on a USB stick (WAV files). They can be converted to MP3 on a computer.

      @@patrick416 can you please tell me how to do this in the clavinova? I’ve recorded a multi track song but when i copy it to USB, it is still in MIDI format.

    • @patrick416
      @patrick416  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@amandaiswan850 Recording the song in WAV format is done by the song recording mode direclty on the USB stick, playing the MIDI recording that you made on the CVP. So it is the second step, first recording the multi track (in MIDI), then you record the song in WAV. Hope I made myself clear..!

    Hi, can you tell me how to change and same the volume for each channels? With the mixing console after the record. thanks

    • @patrick416
      @patrick416  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, good question. It is a bit hidden behind the mixing console menu. If you press the mixing button a few times, the menu changes. It will show the channels 1-8 after 2 clicks and 2-16 after 3. Hope it is clear!

      @@patrick416 Hi, thanks for your answer, what you wrote, i already know it. The problem is, when i change the volume,
      In the console, mixing menu, i can’t save it.
      I am able to change the volume in the mixing menu, i can change the instrument but went i
      Save it, the change are not there when i come back to the song.
      So, can we change, volume, instruments..... in the mixing menu? If yes, how?
      Even if i save with a new name, it doesn’t keep the setting that i did on the song.
      Thanks for your help. Mathieu

      I never noticed that but indeed it does not save the mixer volumes. I fear this is a bug in the software....

      If you're having problems saving mixer settings in your channels, here's how you save them on the cvp 405. Took me hours to find it, and unravel it in the book and find it extraordinarily complicated just to save some mixer settings but hope this works on yours cvp:
      Set up mixer settings on vol/voice for each of your recorded file channels (vol, instrument, pan settings etc)
      Press Function button >
      Digital Record Menu >
      Song Creator >
      Tab across to the 'Channel' tab >
      Scroll down to 'Setup' >
      Tick all the bixes for settings you want to save with the music (esp. 'Voice'!) This might be where you've not got a tick in the 'volume' box)>
      Select Execute >
      Then select 'save' >
      Select 'save' again on the next screen >
      Enter name if not already populated, or rename the file >
      Press ok
      Confirm 'overwrite?' if not changing file name (might be advisable to change name and not overwrite your original file until you're happy that this works) >
      Finally, press Exit and write your letter to Yamaha suggesting that they make life a lot easier and intuitive! Hope this all works on your cvp. It does on mine. Good luck.
