Hi! How can you use lidar function with Sigma 45 2.8 which doesn’t have hard stop on focus wheel? The description says that you can only use lidar with cine lenses provided by hard stops or depth of focus scale
Thank you for watching! SIGMA fp has a function that always starts focusing from infinity when you turn the power back on when using manual focus settings. I am using this fp feature. First, in the FP menu, set the amount of focus movement by the focus ring to 270 degrees (linear). Set the lens focus to manual. Attach the focus ring that comes with the lens. This focus ring has hard stops on both ends. Turn off the FP and move the lens focus ring to the hard stop towards infinity. While maintaining this state, turn on the fp and calibrate the LiDAR. When calibrating, it is necessary to check that the shortest focus distance is displayed the same every time. This setting must be made every time the power is turned off and then on again. You will also need to make this setting if the image is out of focus for some reason. By the way, I don't know if this can be reproduced with a camera other than SIGMA fp.

こんにちわ！はじめまして！これ良いですよ（W) 私はDJIのLidarシステムを使用していますがMFレンズでもモーターパワーが強いのでそこそこ重量のあるシネレンズ系には相性抜群ですが、レンズホルダーを付けられない小型のオールドレンズやノクトンなどは、時たまブレてギヤが空回りしてピントがズレてしまうことがあります。でコンパクトなシステムのこの商品を非常に気にかけています！（W)

このシステムは検知範囲や視野などがDJIのLidarシステムとは違うので比較はできないですが
確かにコンパクトで配線もなく取り付けが簡単です。
シネレンズ系を所有してないのでSIGMA 45mm F2.8 DG DN に付属のレンズギアリングを取り付けて使用してみました。
フォーカススピードを低速にしている場合はギアの空回りほとんどありませんが高速に設定したときは
ギアの空回りが発生してピント位置がずれることがあります。取り付け方を工夫すれば解決できるかもしれません。
オートフォーカス距離が4M以内(明るい日中は2M―3M以内ぐらい)で一番レンズに近いの物へのフォーカスは違和感なく
機能しています。その範囲に物体がない場合自動的に約5M付近にフォーカスし更に数秒後に無限遠位置近くまで移動するようです。割合自然な動きだと思います!
