💖Hi Alice, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and a great post parade dinner 🌽🍗🥧 🤩 ? It's amazing how a department store manages to paralyze the streets of NY for a huge PR campaign for road traffic. The parade was great and I have the feeling it's getting bigger and bigger and the trucks are decorated more beautifully and more elaborately every year. You were definitely there very early, or you were lucky enough to get a place so close to the street to film there 🤔. It was a pleasure to enjoy this parade with your eyes💕🙏🏼😘

A lot of people have been waiting since dawn.😲
I arrived before 6:00 and there were no seats in the front row.😓
I barely got a seat in the second row and waited until 9:00.🥶
But the wait was well worth it.💗👍

The Macy's Parade is a good way to discern where we are culturally. For instance, once upon a time Garfield was the star of our parades, and the star of our holiday specials. So if you're feeling nostalgic for the days of Garfield holiday specials and Peanuts holiday specials, you might wonder who the big stars of today are. For they are the immediate heirs to the holiday specials and whatnot our old stars used to have.
Apparently it's Boss Baby, Grogu, and Bluey. In summary, streaming has taken over.

This #MacyThanksgivingParade video brings back memories when we and the kids braved the crowds six to nine people deep along the parade route and the freezing temperature. After the parade, we used to go to #Ollies on the corner of Broadway and 46th Street (closed and gone now) for a hot bowlful of #udon soup. 😀
