I must tell you about the war. Krakow and the region around, where Auswitz was, were lands called the General Governorate . It was an area similar to a protectorate with capitol in Kraków . The areas were practically annexed to the Third Reich. It were not occupied. Governor Hans Frank held office in Wawel, the seat of Polish kings. .He He wanted to be a polish king but his plans was kicked out by Hitler .He's a war criminal by the way .
