Suzuki in general doesn't seem to care much about customer happiness in India imo.
Cost cutting everywhere, cheap materials and lots of missing features from the jdm/international versions

This is one off the best taxi vehicle that India has to offer!!
Taxi ?? What are you saying !! People especially seating at rear will feel very uncomfortable & claustrophobic . Also taxis should be mid size sedans ( bcoz they offer great practicality , safety & comfort ) like Toyota etios & Hindustan ambassador ( though Amby is discontinued still running in Kolkata & other cities ) . not hatchbacks , mpvs or compact sedans ( bcoz they are not , safe comfortable & practical as compared to mid size sedans ( premier padmini is one such exception ,despite being a small sedan it provided a lot of practicality , comfort & safety ) . current concept of taxis & cabs in India is just absolutely rubbish

S-Presso: 2009.
This car has some deviations from standard. No body ever mentioned that it has a single reverse parking light though space for two is available. The car jack holder is under Driver seat, not within boot space.

I don't know why people are so much critical of this car. It is one of the cars to consider for the middle class people. People are expecting a sportscar at 5 lacs. Fools!

Is the AMT in S-Presso better than that in a Santro or Nios? Espessially in view of shifts while on the highway.

Somehow I feel this car will be a hit. It fits the need of those who prefer small, agile city cars as the new Wagon R has grown in size. Even the Kwid is significantly longer. The Redigo is also very compact but as its monthly sales figures are in 3 digits, it doesn't give the peace of mind to a buyer as a Maruti does.

Most people will prefer the new Kwid 🔥
Most people I know go for Maruti Suzuki regardless due its reliability, ease of maintenance , availability of service everywhere and peace of mind that company may not suddenly stop production and go away from India.
Apart from Hyundai and maybe one or two others, every other MNC manufacturer from abroad faces that risk from time to time.
A company like Ford is thinking of having JV with Mahindra and ending independent operations in India.
@@insas223 Indians rely more on return value of car than anything. Maruti gives the most. So the choice :)

What shall I say about your innovative solutions for cost cutting. Car's MID has been placed in centre to make it look like mini. Also the window switches have been placed in centre. How about placing the steering wheel in center too, may be the co-driver can drive it too sometime.

U told that s-presso is the first to get BS6 but Alto 800 has already been fitted with Bs6

I need a comparison between the S-presso and the Kwid (facelifted). I guess both are similarly priced and designed.
Kwid starts at 2.83L
Espresso Starts at 3.69L
Kwid got more features than this

Hello, will there be any difference in Ground Clearance between Lxi n VXi ie 13' n 14' tyre ?
S-Presso is probably the only 'square' car beside the Smart car. Square as in, it looks like a cube, wheelbase, and width wise. Should you be able to fit the wheels in the place on headlights and tail-lights, you can drive it with no compromise on the handling or safety (doesn't exist in the first place). Considering this meant for people who have no interest in cars or driving and made by people who have no interest in cars or driving. Selling at 7-10K units per month, MUL got the product right. Kudos to them.
For enthusiasts, this is an excellent second car for you guys. Not for driving of-course. Maybe as a door stopper in the house or a tree-house in your garden.
Guys finally maruthi created a car for the circus all they got to do is squeeze an elephant and a mouse in the car. Thus the interior quality will be defined.

Kwid is lot better.
Atleast they got something against the Kwid climber. Though the exterior look a bit boxy and those tiny tires not helping much in the looks front, I did liked the interiors and the K10B is a peppy engine.
Engine is a big difference between d too

I own S-Presso VXI Plus. Its biggest problem is bad ergonomics -- the steering wheel is very close to the dashboard. You have to extend your arms almost fully to drive. After some time, your arms begin to pain. Amazing how can Maruti get ergonomics of steering so bad -- were their engineers smoking something when they attached the steering so close to the dashboard? Another problem is its narrow and tall body -- on a tight turn around corners, the back passengers complain of a sensation of vomiting. Then there is paper thin sheet metal. I will not be buying Maruti again, for sure, despite being a Maruti customer for the last 25 years.
Is it smaller than the picanto?
Great car for the price and service it gave. Am fortunate to have picked this car.
