Hi Steven, I watch your diary of a ceo every week and notice that you ask people to subscribe to the channel. I think a big barrier to this is people either watch without logging in or are not sure how to subscribe (my mum watches you and wouldn't know what you meant). Perhaps adding additional content on the steps to subscribe may be beneficial.
I did not get the difference between subscribing and joining and which one you were actually asking for so I'm glad Emily Baker brought attention to this, thank you Emily.
Thank you both! what a amazing story again In Dutch we have a word " nabestaanden" that identifies what in English we call "survivors" or "bereaved" but please allow me to explain why I think the dutch word makes so much more sense nabestaanden would literally mean (na)after (bestaand)existing (en)ers - so in English it would become something like " After existers" We didnt survive anything (we are grieving) and "the bereaved" does come very close, as we are grieving, but grieving is a verb, and yes it is something that we are (subconsciously working on while grieving) it still doesn't really sum up the hole/scar that the one we lost left on us After you lose someone, you will be left with a scar/hole however you wish to say it, and no it wont break us when we learn to re-invent ourselves to carry on with life .. but ..forever we will be after existers (nabestaanden) edit extra information - nabestaanden are always family of close relationships like bf/gf/long term partners ect
You do not need to binge watch her life. She just told it. You have a story worth watching, too! Go out there and live out your wildest dreams! And use YOUR story to help others!
I loved it when she said, “she won’t dismiss someone for a lack of tenure or understanding because they may have more knowledge than you.” “Make room or a space for their contribution”. All leaders need to follow this mindset. Excellent interview!
I was in an interaccial relationship with a woman older than I, and we made the same commitment to never leave each other behind. After 7 years she passed away from cancer and I was there with her as she took her last breathe. I closed her eyes and thanked her for all the beautiful memories we shared and for helping me believe in myself again. This story was awesome and powerful. Thank you.
This episode was absolutely brilliant and inspiring. Bozoma Saint John is a name I did not know before, so thank you for the show's consistency in bringing in extraordinary guests at the top of their fields from whom we can all learn. However, I couldn't help but notice a discrepancy in the presentation of this episode compared to previous ones. In the past, the names of the guests have always been prominently displayed in the titles, which helps viewers like me quickly engage with the content and do my own research. For some reason, this naming convention was absent in the episode featuring Bozoma Saint John, with only her title being mentioned. As an avid viewer of Diary of a CEO, I genuinely hope that this was an oversight. The content she shared was of immense value, and it's important that her name is given the same recognition as other guests. I believe this acknowledgment is not just about fairness but also about giving credit where it's due. Moreover, I'd like to raise a concern about the thumbnail used for this episode. While I understand the necessity of using attention-grabbing titles for clicks, the chosen thumbnail - "I Blame My Husband for My Baby's Death" - doesn't reflect the rich and diverse content of the interview. Bozoma Saint John discussed a wide range of important topics, and there were surely other captions that could have captured the essence of her insights without resorting to negativity or inadvertently perpetuating harmful angry black woman stereotypes. I truly appreciate the hard work the team puts into creating this show and believe in the show's commitment to inclusivity and fairness. I wanted to bring these points to your attention with the hope that it was unintentional and can be addressed in future episodes. The Diary of a CEO has the potential to inspire and educate a global audience, and these small changes can make a big difference in shaping perceptions and promoting equity. Thank you for your time and consideration. Warm regards, Desola
I don’t know if they changed it after your comment, or I just saw a test, but the thumbnail is now “work life balance is bad advice”. Also agreed with all your points
I read the whole damn passage like a lover's note, your thoughts are perfectly articulated succinctly without overreach and exaggeration, I have heard of Bozma St John more so because she's Ghanaian and having someone fight her corner so fiercely as you've articulated here is so precious and much appreciated! Thanks Desola for being a sister's keeper❤ x
Hearing this while cleaning the dishes of my little start up vegan bakery at 23h after a looong day, getting inspired on ways never seen before 😁🙌 what a woman!
Get inspired to be more than a label. Many people are nourished with real products and it’s not always going to be plant-based. Especially with many bakers using toxic PUFAs (veggie oils) and fake butter that gives arthritic ailments. I say this in a gentle tone coming from that era.
She is a force to be reckoned with ❤ ultimate embodiment of strength, charisma, daring, courage and ambition that every women carry the seeds for. She embodies it and has nurtured that seed
This interview got me to subscribe. She radiates beauty and bravery. It’s so cheesy to say but she’s an inspiration because she’s so willing to be vulnerable and that is what makes her so strong.
She is phenomenal. The simple fact that she can sit and have these difficult conversations without being choked up shows how she has taking the time to heal from each of these areas.
how could she be wondering what she did wrong to lose that first child. That baby was rejected from the first time she found she was pregnant, she had the awful ugly cry against being pregnant, she rejected that growing baby for five months. so the baby had no reason to live, so it started to die and it died and suddenly she is devastated. Then she gets pregnant again not because she wanted to have another baby , she did it from ego not a genuine desire to be a mother. She still had a lot to learn at this stage and during this interview she still does not understand. .
what a woman! I didn't know she even existed. I relate to a lot of what she's been through. I also lost my babies in the womb which led to the end of my relationship. Lost a family member, like a brother to me, to suicide as well who decided to jump. I work as a CMO, but not on her level. Listening to her was a fresh of breath air. Never ever have I related to someone as much as I did with Bozoma. We're very alike, it's kinda scary, to be honest, but listening to her made me realize that I get in my own way. I really, really needed this. Thank you for inviting her. Bozoma I hope you read this: you are a legend! "I refuse to succumb to anything that is not in my destiny for my greatness and my happiness". Greetings from Portugal.
The title of this episode is the only negatuve I can give. This is so far the best interview I’ve watched in this channel and I’m definitely going to buy her book. She is classy, full of wisdom, extremely intelligent beautiful woman. We need more role models like her in our journey to self awareness and self love.
I was not going to watch the video because the title seems like click bait and I loathe manipulative tactics. Title aside, upon reading the comments I will definitely give this a watch.
I agree. I quite enjoy this podcast series, this interview included. Oftentimes when i read the titles of this channel's interview-clips, though, I really don't enjoy clicking them because of their click-baity nature. It seems like an unnecessarily cheap strategy and just lowers the quality of this brands overall representation for me. Considering the high quality production, the interesting guests and the eloquent interviewing style, I just can't imagine that this way of marketing would or should be necessary.
The algorithm will bury your video if you do not "name glow" your videos title. That is the proper industry term. It is not "click-bait". The title has nothing wrong with it.
I agree. I knew who Bozoma Saint John was before this interview so I was aware that nothing related to her work life resulted in the loss of her husband, which is what the title implies. Hopefully, they will be more careful with the titles in the future.
I really love her energy. I also love the story of her mother teaching her early on to be in charge of things in your own home and not just worry about pleasing other kids. What a great lesson. She also cares about others deeply obviously. This is a definition of a strong woman. So sorry about all of her losses.
I LOVE her! Wowwww! This has been my favourite episode yet! You have no idea how important this was for a young black 20 something year old woman to see! Thank you!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The crazy things is I didn't even click on this episode. It just randomly popped up and started playing but I have never been so inspired in my life. She has quickly become one of the persons I will love to meet once in my life.
What a wonderfully powerful and generous spirit this human being has. I’m at 52 minutes in to this interview and I’m just smitten with her wisdom and articulation of it. How important is it to have an interviewer that makes someone comfortable enough to be this free. Beautiful all the way around.

I am hooked on this podcast but you outdid yourself with this one. Wow she’s so powerful, poised, expressive, beautiful and brilliant - just inspiring the way she allowed adversity to teach her to lean into her intuition and instead of making her bitter she became better. I’m going to watch this back a few times for sure. Kudos to her parents as well.
Steven's team always gets the best guests! 🏆 Shoutout to Jemima, Jack, Sophie and so many others who make this podcast possible! It was amazing to see some of the behind-the-scenes on your other channel ✨
Bozoma ~ your ability to remain open and be vulnerability has me in awe. You’re such a powerful and beautiful light. Thank you for telling your story. Queen 👸🏾🙌🏾 you’ve inspired me!
The best interview from the Diary of a CEO and there’s been a few so I had to leave my first ever comment on this episode. What a beautiful, ambitious, strong, resilient human. I was in awe of Bozoma Saint John, she is a great story teller. How I haven’t heard from her before, thank you to the diary of ceo for bringing such amazing guests. Please rectify with adding Bozoma’s name to the video as like many others, I had to rewind to the beginning of the video or review the description to get her full name. Thank you
Her radiant energy comes from her courage to be very, very honest with herself. Her solid, strong, relationship w herself is why she is so magnetic. She honors herself, and why everyone can only honor her, too. What a fantastic human and an excellent example of how to live ❤
Her energy, vulnerability, and how she articulates herself is incredible and infectious. Definitely one of the best and most inspiring DOAC episodes I've ever watched so far. Thanks Boz 🙏😘
This episode resonated with me deeply. The authenticity. The personality. Whole time listening I just wanted to give Bozoma a hug. A story of conviction and self belief that no matter the circumstance she will make it through because she is who she is - beautiful. It's like having a best friend in yourself. I almost imagine her a sailor navigating the sea or wanderer walking through the desert that is life, stumbling upon an oasis with Spike Lee, making it through a sandstorm with Laial and Peter. Without having the same experiences she's so relatable. Thank you for sharing your story.
What an inspirational women showing us we need to believe in ourselves and keep reinventing ourselves. Our own confidence intuition and core values are key.
I was waiting for this interview. Bozoma Saint John is such a phenomenal woman. Her energy, confidence, leadership, perseverance and vulnerability is so beautiful. So many take always from this interview from relationship, family and business moves. Thank you!
This is SUCH a dynamic, enriching and powerful conversation. Bozoma's energy is radiant and magnetic. So grounded and overflowing with intuitive knowing of oneself
Exceptional interview. I love the transparency and confidence that is Boz! Her ability to be so deliberate and intentional is highly inspirational. Thank you for having her on!
This woman has been through so much. She's incredible abd I love that she has thrived. Heartbreaking to hear about her loses. She is a Phoenix. No question.
This is THE best interview on this channel so far. Her story is so powerful! Thank you, Bozoma, for sharing! I especially like the way you speak - so blunt and direct 😊
Love this woman! It was so powerful and it hit me when she told that we should not ask advice on our life to our friends and family. 100% true if you want to being honest with yourself. You are not here on this earth to please your parents and spend 9 hours to work on a carreer path you did not like and they choose to u.
1000% TRUE! I understand this statement bc I followed what my parents wanted for me (money) and I chased a degree that I didn’t even like at the time. It derailed my whole life’s path.
@@bluetickbeagles116 same here for a career opportunity. I did not choose what I wanted and follow what my parents said. Since that choice, I'm constantly sad.
So many people, myself included, resonate with the initial comment and the OP's comment. Many times, we take on expectations that others have of us rather than the understand what fulfills the lack within us (in the sense that we are more fulfilled doing one thing as a job over another). When we are coming out of highschool, most of us don't have the guidance needed to make a decision based on weighing real-life options (college vs working vs trade school) based on our skillsets/talents, strengths, and what we think we want at that stage in life (as teens or young adults, we think we know, but we really don't). Sometimes we don't know better, because only time and reflection can give us the answers we really need for ourselves. Many have taken on what looks good on paper (degree, resume) to later realize it is not worth their health and sanity to something that takes an astronomical effort because it doesn't feel second-nature to you, even after training. Hopefully we can pursue our individual life's purpose/path rather than what looks good by title or mandatory expectation.
Previously, I considered the idea of "being selfish as unacceptable". However, my perspective shifted when I contracted COVID-19 and faced a near-death experience. One of the most significant regrets I encountered during that time was realizing how overly selfless I had been towards others, neglecting my own well-being. I questioned why I hadn't allocated more time and resources towards my personal growth, as my focus had been solely on my children and aiding anyone I could, except for myself. This revelation made me recognize that not everyone is capable of comprehending this perspective.
You caught COVID and wished you'd been more selfish? Are you implying that if you were more selfish you wouldn't have caught it? Or it taught you to blame everyone else because they infected you?
@@bardsamok9221 It appears you missed the point ☝️. I kindly request you take a moment to revisit the content, aiming for a clearer grasp of the message. Additionally, considering the entirety of the video might help you better comprehend my perspective and the reason promoting me to compose this communication.
great wisdom here...."we are constantly creating our destiny". This gives us freedom to act responsibly & impels us to act consciously. Thank you Bozs.
What an episode! Definitely my favourite. This was one of those where Steven didn’t have to ask much questions, just listen and take it all in. Well done for allowing her the opportunity to reveal herself that way. Learned so much!
What an unbelievably impressive woman. To be able to talk about her losses the way she did and not shed a tear shows how strong of a mindset she has. And amazingly beautiful to boot. One of your best interviews. 👏👏👏
Boz's book was a life changing experience for me. I read it in 1 sitting and cried for hours. It put life into perspective for me and definitely added clarity to my thinking process. Thank you Boz 😊 ❤😊
There is SO much in this interview, LOVED it! To compliment her conviction and authenticity, there are so many African inflections in her speech which make me feel her roots throughout the story telling! Love it, from start to finish! ❤
I'm deeply sorry for your loss and can empathize with both your pain and hers. Seeking therapy was a crucial step for me, allowing me to process the grief rather than being overwhelmed by it daily. I've come to understand that continually dwelling on the pain won't bring my child back, but cherishing their memory in a positive light can bring some solace.

As a fellow Ghanaian writer who also left after the revolution, I say thank you Steven and Bozs for this interview. Loved the Song of Solomon reference. Who wouldn't instantly love a man who gets your favourite book? Great story. Keep them coming.
OH MY GOSH!!! This episode touched me so much!! This woman is incredible and your guys chemistry is amazing. Powerful, inspiring^ vulnerable and honest! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I absolutely loved every minute of it.
My God what a powerful interview! I couldn't turn away! Steven, you were a perfect presence and guide, I can not imagine sharing in such a way with just anyone. Bozoma defines true resilience, through the complexity of vulnerability, deaths, rebirths, and transformations. To rise from the depths of it all brilliantly again and again and again! I needed this at this very moment! Thank you both!
Tremendous interview! I listened to the audio first as I’m more of an auditory person but on this occasion I was compelled to watch the video to get to know this lady a little more. Bozoma is so engaging and inspiring. The beauty of the human spirit really shines through her.
This interview means so much… life is not easy for me these days ! Been crying my eyes out and contemplating ending it… this specific podcast has helped me eased up the pain and thoughts.
Hey Beautiful - one day, when you are in a better head space, you will look back at how you were feeling now and thank God that you never ended things. The sun always rises so please hang on in there, better days ARE ahead 🙏🙏🙏
There is light at the end of the tunnel. I pray you are in the physical world. ♥️ As she stated, keep active. Keep setting goals and crush them. Look within, start being selfish and do you! 💛🌻
Oh girl. As someone who has been there many times, it does get better And you won't know "how" and you won't know "when". You take one small step at a time. You'll take a couple steps forward and a couple steps back. I recommend getting support, whether that's a friend who has been there or a professional therapist. One day, believe me, you'll look around and cannot believe the joy and love you will feel one day.
Beautiful episode! I felt a lots of emotions watching it. The sudden dead of my only brother when he was 44 years old an having last year the opportunity to be with my father in another country for his health and loosing him at the end, brought me to the same realization as her. We all know we have to die some day! It can be tomorrow. The scariest thing is knowing you are dying and that you didn’t live the life you wanted.
One of my favourite episodes on this channel! I absolutely resonate with her spiritually, morally and intuitively, there were so many alignments for me throughout this. What a brilliant guest! Thank you
I relate deeply on so many points. From trusting intuition and employing it in my career, selfishness not being bad, wanting to go to Antartica, and feelings on motherhood and success at doing the thing. Never related so much to a stranger.
Bozoma dropped so many gems in this conversation. I'm in a season of my life where trusting my intuition matters more than ever before, so this episode hit home for me.
I really admire Bozoma, I have followed her journey for several years since we spoke at a conference I attended in 2016, I was fortunate to meet her at Cannes Lions this June and she radiates positivity and strength. Loved hearing this talk and she is 100% right, you are the only person you can make the right decision for yourself.
She’s so raw about her experience. I especially appreciate her rawness about pregnancy, how it feels as a woman, that it can be joyful or devastating, that we can feel anger even at our spouses……that it’s super difficult even in the best of situations. Ultimately, it’s the end of self & the feeling of control over our destiny and the beginning of acceptance of powerlessness over so much. Its a difficult pill to swallow & for me is an ongoing process even with 2 beautiful children. Theres a paradox/dichotomy……love of them vs loss of self. Its joy & loss at the same time.
I have never related to somebody so much! I have felt that urgency she talked about in my life and I am looking to have a fulfilling life. Thank you so much for having her on. It was exactly what I needed to hear.
Bozoma St John is a powerhouse! After watching her story I immediately subscribed!!! She is so real, honest and genuine. What an absolutely captivating story!!! Thank you for sharing!!! Immediately going to order her book!!
Just here to appreciate Steve and Boz for having this conversation. It connected a lot of dots for me and moved me in the right direction. Today I was listening again and realized I could almost recite what both were saying word for word as a result of listening to the same thing more than 35 times for sure. Thanks for all you do!
She is sooo Ghanaian. It's so interesting to see that even after all these years, all the time spent learning other ways, her mannerisms and speech are still so reminiscent of home. So much to learn from her!
Bozoma's wisdom, passion and clarity is SO refreshing...She s a complete treasure & leader. Beautiful lessons on real leadership, taking failure lightly & getting back up quickly to continue the creative process. She is a really beautiful human being, courageous, deeply honest & audacious. A shining light.. 🌸🌟🌿🌟🌿🌟🌸
What an amazing, brilliant, and inspiring woman! Definitely one of my favourite guests so far. You are an incredible interviewer, Steven, which leads to fascinating conversations. Thank you for everything you do to make this channel one of the best.
My goodness! What an incredibly powerful insightful interview! Bozoma Saint John! I had no idea who she was but I was blown away right from the beginning of this interview. Her intelligence, poise, candor and her ability to be so vulnerable while talking about her lifes deepest battles and lessons! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her and was moved to tears so many times in her story! What made this interview even more impressive your interviewing style Steven, and your incredible ability to listen fully then ask well thought out questions. Plus your in-depth knowledge of your guests and their backgrounds really shows how researched of an interviewer that you are. And yes, I agree with a fellow comment that Bozoma's life needs to be made into a Netflix movie or documentary! Please! Just Phenomenal!
I genuinely enjoyed every bit of this interview. She was soooo spot on in things she said especially regarding her career. Loved how real and vulnerable she was. I’m so sorry about the loss of your ex-husband. It’s sad that he died.
I absolutely LOVE the part of the “Sunday Scaries”! It’s so true; if you’re feeling icky about someone or they give you the heebie-jeebies listen to your intuition! I ignored it so many times, and had I listened to myself I could’ve spared Tammy so much heartache and money lost. 💯 what a great interview. Thank you!
Wow, I could sit and listen to her speak for hours. She has such a fascinating story and it seems like she has already lived a life and yet still has a whole other life to live. I am so inspired. I am in a point in my life where I feel like I have been smacked down by life again. This is not where I wanted to be at this point. But I can't give up, I need to keep going. And it's nice to hear the story of someone who has been kicked down many times and got back up every time. It really makes me feel that I am not alone and that I still can aspire to great things.
I am in HR and I love listening to your podcast and your incredible guest speakers. This particular episode was very strong. I could feel the real person with almost the same problems as I have. Trying to get my career in the western world, trying to be a good mom of 2 incredible kids that were concieved in a challenging way, giving birth to almost fighting for 3 lives including mine, and still looking into the future in a positive way. Stephen, lots of love from Montreal! I wish you have more people from here too.
Didn't know who this lady was before this video. She's a fantastic speaker!! Has my full attention. Such a lovely, radiant human with a wild yet beautiful story
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this interview!! What a strong, intelligent and beautiful person who has overcome so much. Thank you for sharing and being so raw and open about your life.
I’m writing a book and I literally wrote a chapter on what she spoke about in terms of Destiny…😢 so glad I saw this video cause it made me realize I’m on the right path! ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview from the start and I immediately subscribed. These are the type of genuine conversations I love. I see so much of my self in her and I have seen how not following my intuition has impacted my life…she makes a good point to look after yourself first and then you can help others to the best of your ability.
This is probably my favourite episode yet. You can sense her pain at loosing her partner but her sheer determination to not let grief consume her. And her last bit of advice is brilliant.
This has been one of THE best episodes I’ve listened to. What a woman, wife, mom, almost wish it didn’t have to end. Have to get her book now. Thank you Steven, for introducing us to this incredible woman 🙇🏽♀️💃🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
@cynthiaallie4774, She's just a lucky African. She got the hell out of Africa! She's just a token black Affirmative Action hiree. This interview is an embarrassment.
She's a force to reckon with... Gems on gems... The bit on charting out your own destiny and working at it is so deep and true. Easy to see why she's so successful. Great episode.
Yes!! Our choices lead to our destiny! And indeed on intuition--I’ve listened to mine since I was a child. And for me, choosing happiness IS the path….period. If I’m not happy, I change my path.
About 3/4 of the way through the episode, I thought to myself, "She is an amazing storyteller. THAT is what makes her a great marketer." Funny that she went on to state marketers must be remarkable storytellers if they want to be successful. This was a superb episode! I appreciate her willingness to share such tender parts of her life's story. I agree with your take that she has done a wonderful job of finding wisdom in her experiences.
I love her. You know when people say “whos your favourite celeb or famous influence” I always have no answer as ive never felt motivated, connected and inspired by them and their story. Today i found that person. This woman is truly amazing ❤
This may have been my favorite episode to date. Such a powerful and important story. Brilliant interview skills along with how interesting and wise she is just made for stellar chemistry and storytelling.
I came across this video, and I am so glad with the coincidence of what she has to say and what I am going through. It is breath taken, seeing women, black women talking so eloquently about feelings, how honestly affected their life, and how aware they are about the power they can instill in them, or the realization of they are the owner of the course of their lives. The brutality of her awareness is refreshing and is needed. Thank you for creating space for this type of conversation and for bringing to our knowledge so many interesting people, with relatable histories.
Oh Girl! The Best thing I ever did for myself was DECIDE not to live with regrets... You are a beautiful soul and one should only feel so very blessed to have a friend as all encompassing as you.... much love...❤
I could have listened to her speak for twice as long. Loved her energy and the straightforward honest answers. Steven once again showing one of his biggest strengths as an interviewer is letting the guest talk at length to answer a question.
Thank you Bozs for sharing your story with us 💛 If you enjoyed this conversation could you do us a favour and subscribe to the channel and join the 33% of regular viewers that are subscribed, it helps this channel out more than you know. Appreciate you all! 🙏

Thank you both! what a amazing story again
In Dutch we have a word " nabestaanden" that identifies what in English we call "survivors" or "bereaved" but please allow me to explain why I think the dutch word makes so much more sense
nabestaanden would literally mean (na)after (bestaand)existing (en)ers - so in English it would become something like " After existers"
We didnt survive anything (we are grieving) and "the bereaved" does come very close, as we are grieving, but grieving is a verb, and yes it is something that we are (subconsciously working on while grieving) it still doesn't really sum up the hole/scar that the one we lost left on us
After you lose someone, you will be left with a scar/hole however you wish to say it, and no it wont break us when we learn to re-invent ourselves to carry on with life .. but ..forever we will be after existers (nabestaanden)
edit extra information - nabestaanden are always family of close relationships like bf/gf/long term partners ect

The promo clip...my life burned...followed by a flame. It's in bad taste. The promo clips are getting daily mail-esque
I would definitely binge watch a Netflix series about her life. I like how truthfully and openly she spoke.
Same! I this she is amazing, her honesty is refreshing!
I appreciate honest people, that is the only way for me to learn.
Me too❤
You do not need to binge watch her life. She just told it. You have a story worth watching, too! Go out there and live out your wildest dreams! And use YOUR story to help others!

Warm regards,
Desola
Such a great insight! Agreed
I , too noticed I had to go into the description to get her name.
Good write up. I honestly miss the old way they introduced it. Felt less scripted.
Hearing this while cleaning the dishes of my little start up vegan bakery at 23h after a looong day, getting inspired on ways never seen before 😁🙌 what a woman!
I have this ongoing dream of starting a vegan ice cream shop 🤩. Consider me a new subscriber!
Absolutely keep going. I would love a vegan ice cream shop n frozen yogurt
🥰🤗💚@@AmberSeti
Get inspired to be more than a label. Many people are nourished with real products and it’s not always going to be plant-based. Especially with many bakers using toxic PUFAs (veggie oils) and fake butter that gives arthritic ailments. I say this in a gentle tone coming from that era.
@patisserie1524- Your business is not little. It is a big deal.!!
This episode was PURE GOLD. Never heard of this woman before and now I just want to listen to her speak all the time 💛
Same. I love what her mom said about being proud of her culture and her own self worth. 8:17
Vulnerability makes us strong 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
SHE IS ROYAL.
Me too. Watched a couple of his other stuff but her first sentence made me hit the subscribe button.
She is phenomenal. The simple fact that she can sit and have these difficult conversations without being choked up shows how she has taking the time to heal from each of these areas.
This is such a powerful story. Thanks for sharing! 🙏

The legend himself.
@@skiphopflipflopdripdropI’m dead 💀
how could she be wondering what she did wrong to lose that first child.
I ashamed to say I'd never heard of her. What an inspiration

This meant a lot. On a lot of levels. The personal and the professional fortitude from this women. Unmatched.

Great job 👍
Awesome job, who’s Tammy Ai?
What a powerful, yet vulnerable woman. Her energy is infectious. I loved her story. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you
I NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THIS WOMAN!! Thank you for having her as a guest on your podcast…
Boz is always on fire! Love her.
Every time I see this woman on a podcast.. I listen to every word … I love her and her story and her energy
Absolutely!! Grateful to have this in my feed. At this point in my own life working to reinvent the self. I have so much respect for this woman.
I was waiting for this interview. Bozoma Saint John is such a phenomenal woman. Her energy, confidence, leadership, perseverance and vulnerability is so beautiful. So many take always from this interview from relationship, family and business moves. Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤
I’m less than half way through and Boz is a freaking mood. I appreciate your research to ask the right questions too Steven.
As a mother that had a miscarriage, I can feel the unbearable pain that she has to live with every day. So thankful that she openly spoke about it❤
Appreciate you sharing this Mama

I'm deeply sorry for your loss and can empathize with both your pain and hers. Seeking therapy was a crucial step for me, allowing me to process the grief rather than being overwhelmed by it daily. I've come to understand that continually dwelling on the pain won't bring my child back, but cherishing their memory in a positive light can bring some solace.
Thank you all for your kind reply

Letting go is an action. I love this! Resonates with where I’m currently at in life.
I hope you stay strong and don’t end it pls ❤
Keep pushing through ❤️
Beautiful episode!
She feels like a ray of sunshine, I loved every minute of this interview. It felt like listening to my big sister ❤ completely loved it❤
One of your most articulate guests. Wow. I had never heard of her before but so glad I know of her now. Great interview. Thanks as always. 🎉
Bozoma Saint John IS A BOSS!!! Loved every second of this podcast episode. She is so inspiring and her message was really encouraging!
One of my favourite episodes on this channel! I absolutely resonate with her spiritually, morally and intuitively, there were so many alignments for me throughout this.
What a brilliant guest! Thank you
Her grace and wisdom, being her best self after such tragedy is what's most inspiring to me. Bless this beautiful woman and little Leo
She is so charismatic!! Intelligent, articulate, beautiful and so much more. This episode was powerful! 💯
"I didn't know how to ask for help." Wow, I felt this. Thank you for sharing your powerful story with us.
I have never related to somebody so much! I have felt that urgency she talked about in my life and I am looking to have a fulfilling life. Thank you so much for having her on. It was exactly what I needed to hear.
Wow, one of your best guests. Brains beauty and a lovely honest person. How lucky you are to have spent an hour in her presence face to face
What an inspiring woman. One of the best DOAC interviews yet.

This has to be one of my favorite episodes!!! Because she's speaking to all of us!! Love this!! She's amazing!!
Thank you!
Honesty with glamour - and yet so unadorned. BSJ What a girl. both humbling and brilliantly inspiring.
The way this woman held her emotions, in such a graceful manner speaks volumes of who she is❤
I am in HR and I love listening to your podcast and your incredible guest speakers.

One of the best episodes so far. What an amazing soul this woman is.
@cynthiaallie4774,
She's just a lucky African.
She got the hell out of Africa!
She's just a token black Affirmative Action hiree.
This interview is an embarrassment.
She's a force to reckon with... Gems on gems... The bit on charting out your own destiny and working at it is so deep and true. Easy to see why she's so successful. Great episode.
She is STUNNING and so incredibly intelligent! Haven’t heard ever her before this interview but she is AMAZING‼️ Thank u Steven 🙏🏾❤️🔥✨
Yes!! Our choices lead to our destiny! And indeed on intuition--I’ve listened to mine since I was a child. And for me, choosing happiness IS the path….period. If I’m not happy, I change my path.
same, ive never let go of it. Its all I know...and im here for a good time too 😊

For some strange reason, I avoided this video. So glad I've finally watched it. She 'spoke' to me differently. Thank you for this interview. 😊
Listening and forgetting about time and suddenly realized that it is a pity that it has come to an end.
I love her. You know when people say “whos your favourite celeb or famous influence” I always have no answer as ive never felt motivated, connected and inspired by them and their story. Today i found that person. This woman is truly amazing ❤
I didn’t know I needed to hear this podcast, but I did. Thank you 💜
This may have been my favorite episode to date. Such a powerful and important story. Brilliant interview skills along with how interesting and wise she is just made for stellar chemistry and storytelling.
Never heard anyone make Steven laugh like that before. Fabulous lady, truly inspirational.
That's what I noticed as well... and I loved Steven in this "mode".
Man I love listening to her story. This was by far one of my favorite interviews you've done. Well done and she's a Wonderful guest
You are right Stephen, her energy is infectious, loved how honest she was about her life and outlook on life. Wishing her all the best. ❤
