As a german (born and still being raised) and a loyal linda subscriber of almost 3 years now, I have to say, I got so exited about the love and appreciation for our food. You have to understand, there is not alot of praise or acknowledgement for our culture not just around the world but also within our own country, so it always makes me really happy if people make an effort to get to know some of our strengths better and Thank you for that Linda
As a Ukrainian I am so happy that you loved our Babka :) And you totally said it right, Babka is a grandmother. Thank you for your videos! I always enjoy watching them
I love how all over the world cultures have decided to stuff dough with different things and steam/fry it and it’s always popular. So many types of dumplings, so little time
As a polish person I’m rlly happy to see that u enjoyed pierogi ruskie ❤❤ even tho I prefer them with cabbage I’m glad u enjoyed them!! Dumplings are truly the most comfort food ever and I love how in so many different cultures there’s different types of dumplings
Linda, this is so beautiful. I feel like people are so quick to shy away from cuisines outside their own culture or not immediately available to them in restaurants. I certainly wasn't confident enough to recreate dishes with ingredients so different from what I was used to for the longest time, and the fear of possible messing them up or adapting them too much and consequently be seen as disrespectful held me back. My German mom got into Korean pop culture a few years back and found the dishes she saw in Kdrama so tasty looking, she started to make her own Kimchi and moved on to popular meals without any second thought. She took whichever ingredients were similar and available to her and gave it her best recreating them as closely as possible. I was so impressed. You can learn so much about a culture through their food alone and I urge everyone to try out new things, even if it seems daunting at first ❤
Im so happy that we have Linda on this app, she really makes this community so much more positive and such a better place, I live you and appreciate you so much , You really do inspire me and make me want to be a better version of my self Thank you for always being honest and showing us the other side as well ✨️💕💙❤️💜💗💓😊
I am happy that you tried the Lithuanian pink soup. However, I do believe that kefir may have a different taste in Canada than local one. And usually we dilute the kefir with a bit of milk. Also, I like to chop the eggs and add them to the soup. But I hope one day you will visit Lithuania and try the local soup and meat potato dumblings. ❤❤
@@sabrinakunigyoga2387 probably because a lot of Germans recommended it and told her it was German. I think many of us Germans don't question that it's originally from Austria because it's a staple in our cuisine (tho I have actually never tried it as a German lmao)

This video was awesome! And it made me super duper hungry! 😂 Hope you’ll make another one (or two, or three, or four!) with the same concept in the future.
Arepas!! My husband's family is from Venezuela, they introduced arepas to me! My husband's mom flattens them a bit more than you did, like the thickness of an American pancake, then cooks them on the stove to brown them, then cooks them in the oven at a high heat (maybe 400° F?) Until they puff up, then they open up like a pita bread! She also sometimes fries them in oil, in which case she'll poke a small hole in the center so they cook evenly. We rat them with beans and cheese (cheddar or a mexican queso type cheese), sometimes avocado, but you can make it however you want! You should also try Taqueños sometimes! They're like a Venezuelan mozzarella stick, but waaayyyyy better
I used to work with some wonderful women from Nepal, and they taught a group of us to make momos. Yum! I relived that happy memory through your video!❤

As a Palestinian, I can’t believe that person told you to try Mujaddarah 😂 don’t get me wrong, I love it, but it’s not our best dish. Also, the reason why you probably didn’t like it was because you’re supposed to eat it with a side of plain yogurt. It elevates the dish SO much. I think you should try Musakhan or Kusa Mahshi next. Those are truly delicious dishes from Palestine 🇵🇸
I loved this video! You made me think about food in an entirely different way, and I love how much time and effort you put into presenting this food in the way you did! 💛
Seeing you list Dani Fernandez in the videos at the end was the cherry on top! I love both of you, you just make recovery possible and I am so grateful

Hey linda! I'm from South Africa. I'm glad that you tried malva pudding and loved it, we also eat it with either ice cream, custard or cream. Another dessert we loooooove is milktart ❤❤❤
The Lithuanian soup is awesome with pickled beetroot instead of boiled and the egg cut into small cubes and mixed with the rest of the ingredients 🤤 And don’t forget the salt🧂 My aunt is from Latvia, Lithuania’s neighboring country, and she used to make this soup for our family in summer - I’ve gone plant based since, but I still crave it! ❤
I am South African, and Malva is one of my favorite deserts! To take it next level, add some creme, just plain running sweet creme!!! and custard!! Sooo goooooodd!! But honestly, all this food looked so amazing!! I just want to eat now!
I'm an Aussie but I LOVE MARMITE (I have an English Dad) and I love it on toast with lots of butter, but it's also really good on toast again, topped with cheddar and baked beans... maybe I just like it because I grew up eating it but it's great!
The empanadas looked sooo good!! They reminded me of the time I was small, and I used to eat a dish called Panzerotti, which is a little similar, but worth trying!
i recommend pelmeni - it's a russian dish, similar to pierogi :) borscht is also sooo good, most eastern europeans have it frequently but it's a ukrainian dish. also medovik is my favourite russian cake EVER, it's like a crepe except the layers are softened biscuits and the cream is sour cream mixed with sugar and honey, it's delectable. edit: just saw the uk one haha i come from eng and i hate marmite 😭 if you ever eat another uk dish, sunday roast is a must

Please, take care, give yourself a hug and remember that we really admire you and love u💜:D
I love this video so much!! It brings me so much happiness!!
the best “schupfnudel” combo would be butter with poppy seeds 😍
OUUU I will try it that way next time thank you
Mama sun is present through out the whole video and I'm loving it.

OMG! Please make a part 2 and add Brazil into your video, I’m sure that you will love the food from here!! 🇧🇷💕
I loved this video! You made me think about food in an entirely different way, and I love how much time and effort you put into presenting this food in the way you did! 💛
NO WAY U DID LITHUANIAA!!
Seeing you list Dani Fernandez in the videos at the end was the cherry on top! I love both of you, you just make recovery possible and I am so grateful
I'm from South Africa and marmite is popular here too, I like eating it with butter and cheese on top either on a rice cake or a cracker.
Amazing and so many great ideas for delish treats! This was such a wonderful concept, really inspires me to try to cook foods from more cultures and try them out

Hey linda! I'm from South Africa. I'm glad that you tried malva pudding and loved it, we also eat it with either ice cream, custard or cream. Another dessert we loooooove is milktart ❤❤❤
Yay the jollof rice looked great! Love from Nigeria!🇳🇬🇳🇬
The Lithuanian soup is awesome with pickled beetroot instead of boiled and the egg cut into small cubes and mixed with the rest of the ingredients 🤤 And don’t forget the salt🧂
My aunt is from Latvia, Lithuania’s neighboring country, and she used to make this soup for our family in summer - I’ve gone plant based since, but I still crave it! ❤
linda's relatable talks really catches me off guard but they really help me i've been having a tough time but you help so much ily linda 🩷
I am South African, and Malva is one of my favorite deserts! To take it next level, add some creme, just plain running sweet creme!!! and custard!! Sooo goooooodd!! But honestly, all this food looked so amazing!! I just want to eat now!
I just want to say…. AMAZING EDITING ❤
I was wondering the whole time if you would try something from South Africa, so glad it didn't disappoint, one of my favourites😊💫

I consider myself well traveled and versed in food but there are so many things you are that I’ve never heard of! Can’t wait to try cooking them now!
They reminded me of the time I was small, and I used to eat a dish called Panzerotti, which is a little similar, but worth trying!
i recommend pelmeni - it's a russian dish, similar to pierogi :) borscht is also sooo good, most eastern europeans have it frequently but it's a ukrainian dish. also medovik is my favourite russian cake EVER, it's like a crepe except the layers are softened biscuits and the cream is sour cream mixed with sugar and honey, it's delectable.
edit: just saw the uk one haha i come from eng and i hate marmite 😭 if you ever eat another uk dish, sunday roast is a must
Puerto Rican foods you must try!!! Mofongo, tostones, arroz con leche, coquito, quesitos, and any pork dish
watching lindas videos is like taking a break from reality. If you do this again you should do sweden.
