- The K220 is a landmark model for Kenworth. An entirely different machine beneath a form factor that continues to acknowledge lineage on the one hand, yet pokes the bear on the other. Will K220 continue to honour one of the greatest evolutionary legacies in automotive history? Who knows, but Guy Knowles Transport offers one of the best transport operations in which to open its account.

The K220 is one nice truck, Im glad they kept most of the traditional Kenworth look, that new grille design is definitely an improvement over the K200, it reminds me of the K100 a little. Sad to see the iconic areodyne split-window sleeper cab go away though. Overall Kenworth did a great job with the K220!
wow Bro, you drive in jandals ... wow .. go You. 1:18 - sooo nice to see the Mangaweka viaduct. Haven't seen them for 30years goshhh. Love the vids too btw. Churrr churrr. I will never understand why cars drive soo close behind these massive rigs. Geeeez
Looking forward great 👍 truck Kenworth 👍👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺👌
GKT units are always pristine!
I am the first to admit that I'm no truck driver, heck, I don't even like trucks....but this came onto my TH-cam feed and made me feel the need to comment. Glad to see you still Trucking on Mr Knowles. My late Brother used to drive for you 20 odd years ago and I remember fondly riding in the passenger seat of, I think it was your 580 V8 Scania?, with Keveys emblazoned down the sides thinking, this is a fucking spaceship. I see the only change, besides Lionel not being in the drivers seat, is that it's a Kenworth...but still a fucking spaceship. I think of my brother every day and couldn't help but smile while I was watching this....very impressive Mr Knowles and I'm sure Lionel will be smiling too.
@@Tirotirowhetu lovely comment, thanks mate. We will share it with Guy!
Watching from Zambia in Africa... proper truck..👍😎
Good looking trucks and your footage was brilliant
Keep it coming 👍
Glad you like it!!
What is the overall length of this truck and trailer combination ?
It's 23m
@@NZTruckingMag Thanks.
Very cool. What is the cage in front of the windshield for, i.e. what is the hazard you are trying to protect yourself from? We just bought a small cab over, and love the improve turn radius, maneuverability, safety from being able to see further out (thus having more time to avoid collisions).
It’s a stone guard, to prevent chips on the windscreen
Absolutely a beast, awesome 👌
K220 looks awesome and great to still see a gearstick for real drivers!
How do you think they go for stability compared to bdouble we have across the ditch?
Cheers
Stable as. The K220 is a solid handler and those 5-axle trailers track along great
Nice footage through the viaduct... what model drone are you using?
Thanks! Just a little DJI Mavic Air
Beautiful!
we just need someone to make a decent engine to go in it 😂
The Cummins are a bit iffy, cat don't make highway engines anymore, I don't know much about the DD. Not many options 😅
@@thfmlymn4498 I know plenty about the DD15 AND ITS HORRIBLE even next to an x15, it hurts because I've always been a Detroit boy up until that engine
i hate the grill its so ugly
Kenworth owners influenced it's longevity ..
Your probably into
erou, trucks

The way of getting in and out of this truck looks very odd and impractical.
Through the door? Yea, generally how it's done🤷♂️
