@@georgepace1145 George, I will never forget one occasion when I was walking my own dog and a young lady walked by four wannabe gangsters who stopped her and tried to rob her.
Unbeknown to them her Rottweiler was playing with my GSD, but he tore over and defended her magnificently.
Watching the thugs running away absolutely terrified, one of them crying, was great to watch.
I beg to differ. She is turning those dogs into loving humans with all the love she gives them & rightly so. If a criminal has thoughts of bad intent towards her or her home & see’s the Rottweilers more than likely they will move on. I knew a pit bull who was more-less humanized & she wound not bite a fly, but so fierce looking. 😊

No excuses. There are dozens in the shelters within 6o miles of your home right now. I have been looking for another young male as a companion to Sheba and was shocked to see dozens close to me and even larger number of beautiful abandoned Pit bulls. Please people find any dog you like in a shelter near you and go bring to it's forever home. On the way stop and buy a large bag of quality dog food or cat food to donate.
When I get my own place I plan on getting a rottie and a read nose pitbull

Yes!! Lol. I have a male Rottweiler named Cladius Von Mithras and he is spoiled rotten. He grumbles just like you say and loves to be fawned over, petted and hugged on. He's so sweet and funny. They are the best dogs.

Same as my Lucy. It was 10 years of Heaven! She was my companion and the love of my life. To this day my soul is full of love and joy, and this is the gift she gave me. I am happy every day no matter what!
We had to put my brothers rotty down when he was 15.
Here's something no one ever tells you about Rotts. So, its pretty common for them to develop some type of dog amnesia i guess is the best way to put it.
And the last two years was a constant struggle of getting him to remember those of us who had raised him since a puppy and it got to the point where he really just didnt know who we were. It went from "he has good days and bad days" to "he has bad days", he bit me... i don't even know how many times.... 5?. Did serious damage too. He bit my brother half a dozen times and he bit my brothers wife once. If we didnt already know how to handle big dogs like that, it probably would have been notably worse. But we had to put him down.
The vet said that this is fairly common with rotts for some reason, i think it was 10-15% will develop this memory loss and its never happened with any of my other dogs.
@@undergrounddojokeyboardcag701 I didn't know that Rotties can develop amnesia. My Rottie became a little aggressive when she developed bone cancer. I think it was the pain she was in.
You are lucky that your Rottie lived to be 15. I wished my Rottie had lived to that age as opposed to 10.

But it just got to the point where he was so defensive/aggressive, because he didnt recognize anyone anymore.
If he was a smaller dog maybe we could have done something else, but for most of his life he was between 90-110 pounds of just pure muscle. Im 6'5 and when he stood up, he was a little taller than me... and btw, he also thought he was a lap dog.
He could have easily killed one of us grown adults, let alone one of the kids.
I remember when he was like 2 or 3, we were up playing some PS2 game at like 2am and Max dropped to the floor, started staining outside through the sliding glass door and we look over and saw some dude jumped the fence.
That damn dog started running and jumped through two panes of glass on the sliding glass door. And that guy, i had never seen anyone jump a fence so quickly.
This dog would have taken it to Cujo.
But we ended up spending like four hours in the emergency vet clinic that night because of that. He had a bunch of cuts and pieces of glass in him.
I love all breeds of dogs but Rotties have a special place in my heart.! ❤
Mine was 15 years old - Sydney had no health problems.

I had 12 Rottweilers at the same time and I lost the last of them a couple of years back now most of them were rescue dogs all purebred well I haven’t been the same since before anyone criticise’s me I lived on 2 acres and the dogs had plenty of room even had RSPCA inspected they were all beautiful and much loved especially my kid’s and their friends would come around just to play with them they all have a special place in the Gardens as I had them all cremated I loved them so much and I wish I could have them all over again unfortunately due to circumstances I had to move and I am not allowed to have dogs but one day hopefully I can again much love to the woman in this video they are amazing and beautiful dogs….
Hey, can you tell me the average life expectancy of a Rottweiler? What were the oldest ages of your dogs? I had 2 Rotts once, and one died at 5 and other died at 9, I think.

Mine was 15 and she went too soon. I think on average about 8-10 years. Mine was actually small for a Rott at 75 pounds. The bigger they are the shorter the lifespan.
I so agree i love my baby Bianca she came to me right after my fiancee died from COVID-19... while i mourn she been my companion....as i go through process

I lost mine on 01/09/2021. It was so heart breaking for entire family. He stayed with us from 2014 to 2021. We called him Rusty and he was an angel and a star of our family.

I had a female rotty. She loved kisses. If she heard me kissing my wife on the cheek she would run over like "Hey, where is my kiss?". So funny to see her reaction. I have had two over the years. They are absolutely amazing dogs! The key is get a pure breed from a respected breeder. The closer they are to a pure breed, the closer they will display the traits that they are known for. They are smart, easy to train, loyal, loving dogs. I miss my last one dearly. She went everywhere with me and was so well behaved.
I hope to have another one mine died of cancer he helped me with a break down when I had lost my finance in 2006 that dog was my rescue!

I had a beautiful female for 10 years and it is my opinion that they "are not" dangerous. They are not born vicious. They are just a dog, like any other dog. Thank you for your opinion though. It was in favor of the Rottweiler. 💋
They are absolutely dangerous if you are dumb enough to try and fight the owner of a Rott. They do not like violence and will attempt to get between conflicting people. My son made the mistake of getting loud and proud before he took a swing at his mom. Garth snatched him by the arm and it was game over. He didn't rip his arm off, but he ended the conflict on the spot.

I had several dogs all my life, im on my first rotti though.I can't say enough about them.The breed is truly remarkable.First dog i had that pretty much trained himself .Had only two accidents when we got him.Now he is a year and 6 months .Woke me at 2am to pee.They really want to do right for there owners.Best of luck with them and thanks for video

My brother has been adopting rescue Rotties for the past 10 years or so. They have all been the most amazing dogs one could wish for. His current one was completely frightened of me for a long time, but now he's my good buddy. 100 pounds of mushy lovebug.

Have had 6 in 24 years with several at a time. In those 24 years have only gone 4 months without one. Can't imagine my life without one of these big lovable goofballs. They are nothing but goofiness amd love in a large package.

I had a lot of Big Dogs, Loved them all!!!, Just Lost My Rottie Kaiser. Its been 2 months and I am ready for another. It is hard to explain to People how great this Breed is. He was my Best Friend and my familys best protector.
