Congrats on just listening mostly and absorbing this VERY WELL DONE STUDIO PIECE IN REPLICATING THIS GREAT CARPENTER SONG ..... all are wonderful in instrument & vocals ...... front and center though* ..... Miss Tori Tolub ..... a little piece of Heaven, great lower register, pure middle of the note brilliance & BAM - is that Karen channeling ??? Awesome .

Glad to see you still doing reactions! I hope life is treating you well. I discovered Tori about 6 months ago and have never looked back. And the several years I have been listening to music on TH-cam, she is only one of three artists that I follow closely. A timeless voice and a love for the classics makes her stand out from the majority of other artists her age. More Tori I'm sure is on the way and please keep promoting her and also her collaborator is Jim Wilkas and Dan Wesley. Thanks for all.
Speaking of Close. Close To You is their next project. It’s in post production. Which if Jim is going to do like what he did here, has to be a monster to work on.
Know what the killer is? Tori does Karen's contralto range in this one, then she does Olivia Newton-John's soprano range in "Suddenly." She has numerous covers of more artists on her site and she engineers most of them herself on multitrack decks and with sequencing software, overdubbing her voice on a lot of them. Oh yeah, and she has a couple originals. She's brilliant.
Hi, appreciate your comment but really I'm on the fence about that. Tribute artists and bands get a bad rap to some extent. They're accused of copying and trying to be someone they're not. There are a select few that are good ones but there are a lot of mediocre ones as well. Tori is an artist in and of herself. Her natural voice happens to sound a lot like Karen Carpenter even when she sings some other songs. And she does cover some other artists as well. No question that the carpenters are her passion but I don't think she wants or would it be a good idea for her to pigeonhole herself as a Carpenter tribute. I think Tori needs to be Tori!

Wait until you see her Olivia Newton-John. I'm going to let JBS and Ron give you suggestions, but I recommend taking them. Tori is amazing!
