Thank you Laura, it's terrible. I was pretty lucky compared to many others. I have a small mouth of seepage in the suite but other than that we are OK. Neighbors behind me have a full flood and cannot get any service to help drain the water as everyone is inundated with calls. The highway that has been shut down is less than 30 minutes from me . The news today said people have been stuck in the cars for over 12 hrs in some places. Its so sad. The last two years have been difficult enough without all of the environmental issues that seem to be occurring. Cindy
Many thanks Sheila, we are warm and relatively dry..lol One big bath towel solved my water issue....for now. More rain on the way so I can't say I am confident that we won't sustain more seepage. Mother nature is fighting back with avengence, we had 40° days in the summer, Covid, the latest "atmospheric river", and a tornado warning in Vancouver . What's next? Cindy 😀

Our only highway heading north has been closed since yesterday do to a collapsed section. Many people have been sitting in their cars for the past 12 hrs & homes are knee deep in water without help coming for weeks. It's so 😔, life has been challenging enough for last 2 years without this. Cindy
We have also been hit by a flood here in Germany. My house was 2.70m under water, everything was destroyed. But pouring keeps me going and I'm looking forward to being able to start soon when everything is straightened out again. I feel with those affected that it is a terrible experience. I need something to look forward to. So I watch videos and plan my house construction. Sorry for the bad english, that was google, because my english is too bad for what i want to say.
I'm sorry that this is happening to you Verena. I completely understand 😌. 2 yrs past since I flooded. It was a nightmare, I only had about 3 inches of water but the damage was extreme. I had a long term Tennant at that time who was dying of cancer. She didn't want to burden her family and wanted to die at home (my home). She didn't want to leave and it turned into quite an upset. I had to call her family to come and get her at a period where we were all on lockdown due to Covid. She passed away within a few days of leaving and the family left me with all her belongings in a flooded suite for about 3 months. On and on this story goes. Rebuilding is hard & costly ..I get it. Painting keeps my mind occupied and my heart full. I'm glad you seek creativity as a stress receiver as well. Your English and Google translate is perfect, no worries. Cindy

I am quite thrifty 😀 (cheap, cheap) so with a bucket of beads and a tooth pick I will just make a few as I go. If I loose mine in a paint puddle it doesn't stress me out.. 😀.
