You know what would be really fun, is if you went to struggling farms and showed some examples of bad chicken coops, and why they're suboptimal. Of course would be a biosecurity risk. But I think counter-examples would really help lots of us.

Hello Doc..thank you for the video. Why don't you use light concrete on the first floor after putting some wire mesh before rather using small timber to cover the holes? Because I have this same the saw dust escapes below the small holes and the dropping cakes a lot.

Whenever I use that chicken mesh there some small birds that go through so I use the one for ceiling

The cleaning is done about once in 2 years... that shouldn't be an issue really

Maybe marineboard may be better and cheaper than the wood for floor and more easier to work with

I understand it's cheap and all but how will you handle the heat during summer?? Ammonia content inside the shed will be off the charts!

No. It makes the structure quite heavy
Will you require wood chipping on the upper floor and the same depth as lower floor or rather what's required to cover the upper floor?
