I think the Browns did a terrible thing in letting Baker play with a MAJOR injury. They might have just ruined his career by doing so. They knew it so they got desperate to replace him before they got held accountable for it.
Skips used Odell narratives to try and hype Baker. And now he’s using Watson to try and ease Baker. Skip will use anything to support his argument in an attempt to win.
@@magdabrownis265 have you seen their career stats? And Josh Allen has greatly improved his accuracy while being faster, bigger with a stronger Arm than Baker. That's close to 10x. Sad that the Browns wanted Watson
How did a guy who wanted an extension over play his hand? The Browns investigation went on for 5 months into Deshaun Watson. Baker only asked for a trade recently. Baker was played more than you know. Is Baker worth $30 million probably not. But the Browns were looking to trade Baker long before he asked for a trade.
Baker overplayed his hand thinking he had enough popularity to disregard the fans. A scary thought is if my Panthers get Baker when we could've got Watson.
This argument is very pointless tstl. First you might not even see Deshaun for another 2 years maybe, or a year and a half at the least. What are they going to do with Mayfield? They better hold on to Mayfield because who else is going to play if this kid don't play for the first year and a half? Who's going to come to Cleveland and fill that gap for a year and a half? This might be good for entertainment, but the reality of this argument is not based on much. Cleveland is in a big time mess here. All anyone can see right now is Deshaun getting paid, on or off the field.
Shannon is far too biased against Baker. If Baker would have led Cleveland to a SuperBowl victory last season Shannon would still be saying that Baker will never win a SuperBowl. Watson is one career ending injury away from making Cleveland look like the biggest bunch of fools to ever run an NFL franchise.
I’ve never seen skip stick by someone like this other than Tebow; of course Tom but atleast Tom earned it. He just can’t except that Baker isn’t good; people don’t realize how stacked Cleveland’s roster really was the last 3 years. With a top 10’qb they could have been a contender
Shannon's not wrong in Baker performing poorly last season, but neither is Skip on Baker's injury hindering his playmaker ability. I had no doubt prior to Baker getting injured that he was gonna take the next step at the beginning of the 2021 season. It's a damn shame this is how it's gonna end for him in Cleveland. This is the type of guy that deserves a parade for what he's done for a city, unlike Stafford in Detroit (who BTW STILL has Lions fans support *despite* quitting on the team 🤦🏾♂️)
Skip in his rant about how he was right about OB's not being "the man" that shannon liked, he forgot to mention how he also predicted that Patrick Mahomes could turn out to be the best QB in his draft class.
And yet the Hasslams who deserve blowback too because they believed Baker was the QB which is why they exhausted a first overall right? It’s sad ppl make millions and look like they smart and “Same Ole Browns” is ringing in my head right now.
Idk why skip kept trying to bring up that no team was willing to go all in for deshaun watson in this topic. If anything that hurts his argument that Baker is a quality qb. You don't go all-in for a qb if you already got a good qb.
He chose the Browns because they have a good offensive line they have a great run game they have a good coach dead loyal fans and they paid him the most
Skip ... CONTENT and EXCITEMENT are two different things. Being CONTENT on Baker Mayfield being there and being EXCITED that Deshaun is coming are vastly different.
It says a lot about Baker's relationship with the Browns and any team for that matter, that they would rather have a tarnished QB like Watson with his baggage ----with chances of suspension for games by the NFL---than to stick with what they got now. Wow, pretty low opinion

After Baker couldn't beat the chiefs with a backup QB in the playoffs the browns knew he wasn't the answer
Defense was just as responsible for that loss
@@JayGotJuice216 Stop!
@@ManofSteel216OC oh I’m not a Baker fan at all. I’m just spittin facts bro.
@@JayGotJuice216 Eh after the first two drives the defense played well
Offense couldn't do anything the entire game though, against a defense that the Bucs torched
Skip really think people care about 11 games that much?
I mean it’s not just the 11 games he had a great rookie year and broke the rookie touchdown record (at the time) and he started week 3 or 4. Not saying baker is GREAT but he’s definitely not BAD. Having a new offensive coordinater and head coach every year doesn’t help either
@@christophersanchez3511 lmao okay skip bayless, I see you out here on another alt burner
THANK YOU SHANNON! You're the only sports host who phrase the cases against DW that way!
And kudos to the Browns for not wasting all these amazing players careers waiting around for Baker to get it together
Skip has no argument lol
Funny watching this 2 years later realizing how wrong shannon was and how right skip was
as a browns fan i don’t want baker to start and i dont want to get rid of him. i feel like baker could really lock in if hes behind a tom brady.
My little sister could of won that game in Pittsburgh after how terrible they started it’s like they wanted to see how hard they could make it on themselves and went all in
28-3?
I've heard skip talk about those 11 games and the 40 throws his rookie year so damn much that when I'm 90 and maybe have dementia or alzhiemers all I'm gonna be consciencly muttering the only thing I have remembered out of the entirety of my whole life will be " when O'Dell got injured at my bengals stadium baker Mayfield went on a tear, and went 8-3 in a 11 game stretch and was ranked 4th among qbs in that stretch, and his rookie year! My God skip just stop bro he's at the back of the pack! I'm a die hard bengal fan and I'm telling ya I'd love to see that guy stay in Cleveland! The league knows he was know real threat
I'm a browns fan .and I liked baker ...but skip keeps recycling the same facts🤣🤣
Shay shay: You can’t overplay a royal flush! Shannon will always be undefeated !
“Odell problem” OBJ was injured for the majority of his tenure in Cleveland
Full guarantees when it comes to salary is extremely risky man.
Josh Allen is 10x better than Baker in Talent AND STATS!!! Why does skip ignore that every time talking about the draft...
Better but I think 10x is a little delusional
@@magdabrownis265 have you seen their career stats? And Josh Allen has greatly improved his accuracy while being faster, bigger with a stronger Arm than Baker. That's close to 10x. Sad that the Browns wanted Watson
It's the browns. Pittsburgh is actually happy.
Skip said and I quote I don’t care what you’ve done or haven’t done BUT I KNOW WHAT Aaron RODGERS hasn’t done 😂😂😂
How can someone really think baker is better than josh allen
You can't overplay a royal flush 💯
Baker overplayed his hand thinking he had enough popularity to disregard the fans. A scary thought is if my Panthers get Baker when we could've got Watson.
Panthers will always suck
I wish Baker the best, but GO BROWNS with Deshawn!
Baker thought he was gonna be the Ochocinco of Cleveland lol
Skip in his rant about how he was right about OB's not being "the man" that shannon liked, he forgot to mention how he also predicted that Patrick Mahomes could turn out to be the best QB in his draft class.
I hate how skip says baker was fantastic his rookie year but did he win rookie of the year?
DEAR GOD WOULD SOMEONE AT UNDISPUTED STOP SHANNON FROM SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS.... IT DOESN'T BOLSTER YOUR ARGUMENT... BUT ALL CAPS DOES.
The Browns were the best team available and willing to offer him the most money. It was a no brainer for Watson.
I think if Payton is still coaching the Saints, Watson is there.
And yet the Hasslams who deserve blowback too because they believed Baker was the QB which is why they exhausted a first overall right? It’s sad ppl make millions and look like they smart and “Same Ole Browns” is ringing in my head right now.
Baker didn't win that playoff game by himself its a team effort it doesn't matter who the qb is its who plays the best game as a team not one player
This is a perfect example of the "talking heads" carrying water for the NFL teams, not the players who play!
Idk why skip kept trying to bring up that no team was willing to go all in for deshaun watson in this topic. If anything that hurts his argument that Baker is a quality qb. You don't go all-in for a qb if you already got a good qb.
When Joe Thomas speaks we listen
The way Shannon come on here every day and destroy skip with logic should be illegal
lol. 11 games and 40 big time throws. Skip is dying on that hill.
It says the Browns don't know anything about football.
Baker still thinking him drafted 1st pick means he can’t be under valued… smh 🤦🏿♂️!
Skips Daily Notes: BAKER 8-3 11 game Skid 20 picks 3 ints 1 Playoff win 51 TOTAL GAMES i DO NOT CARE ABOUT
No way they woulda moved Baker for washed up Matt Ryan cmon Shay.
I’ve only heard the use of the Big Time Throws by Skip. Nobody else ever uses that
If brown are willing to deal with watson legal and pr issues instead of keeping baker it really makes you think because if baker played elite or even top 15 deshaun never comes into the conversation so it's his fault for not doing his work
So was Hue Jackson completely the problem?
Cleveland tried to make him out to be. They allowed Baker to stare and make gestures towards him. They created and were enablers if his behavior.
@@ManofSteel216OC this should have motivated baker to fight for his job there are to many what ifs I wish deshaun the best but baker may not have had to even worry about him and in retrospect I bet he wishes he rode the bench instead of trying to play through the injury
Hue Jackson was awful, two separate things man
@@santiagobuenos9673 he wasn't for the Bengals
