Zenith Prism with Terraria mods ─ Crazy diamonds against crazy enemies like Calamity & Echdeath..?

- Terraria has a weapon named Zenith. Just like every time, Zenith is the strongest weapon in Terraria... On vanilla game, at least: If you ask me if it can stand against modded weapons, I wouldn't say yes. If you're not still convinced, well, check this... prism, which is very psychedelic, crazy, and probably the craziest thing ever in Terraria...
I did a video about this mod, which did get a lot of attention. What I didn't notice though, was that it was also available on 1.3 version of the game as well ─ where the most mainstream mod resides. That's why I decided to take a look at this prism once again... to fight against calamity bosses, and the most ridiculous boss in Terraria ─ The echdeath.

I also like that Stars Above has dialogue for other mod bosses and shit
Another good thing with stars above: infinite time for providence, as long as you don't defeat the warrior of light (which had Scal lvl hp in my play through)

Whoops! The weapon's damage not being modifiable is actually not intentional; I added custom damage scalings to the weapon's damage calculation to adjust for buffs and stats on the player, but forgot to account for the weapon's actual physical base damage, since that was not supposed to be modifiable directly. Maybe I'll allow that for a future update :P

This definitely one of the most mechanically interesting modded weapons with the ability to push things back and the fact it can ignore enemy invincibility
Haha, yeah it was definitely fun digging around the game's code to figure out ways to bypass knockback immunity and invulnerability states!
Not sure how easy it is to notice from the video, but the fully charged beams also weaken, destroy, or reflect enemy projectiles, and the mini lasers that fire from the prisms automatically also predict enemy movement. I originally made this weapon as a test since it was my first mod, but I ended up investing a lot of time into it because it was so fun to program these mechanics 🙃

These "spirits" of the dummies are an invisible NPC that is used for the hit box

@@Ryeyuri No, the details about it doing 1 damage and being the weakest weapon are probably a reference to sans, who has 1 defense and one attack, and a similar sounding description, despite being the hardest boss in the game.

One thing I also wanna note as the one who designed this weapon, is that it's actually inspired by the Subspace Gunship from Super Smash Bros Brawl. The main laser is purple with a black centre when fully charged, and the prisms serve a secondary purpose as turrets that fire random lasers, some of which move around, bounce, or seek 🙃
Finally, a mage zenith item mod that is cool, creative, AND overpowered instead of being one giant bean or every projectile at once
That editing with echdeath just makes me giggle due to the epic music being cut off by the imposter murder crunch and Meet the Team drums.

Fun fact:the thing on 1:33 was the dummies mob thing which is the thing that allows the player to damage the dummy but because of the power of the prism it caused the mob to for some reason dip from the dummy
Because the weapon pushes all mobs when the beams turn black, even enemies immune to knockback like bosses.
The psychedelic prism made the dummy soul leave its body, very fitting lmao

honestly, if we only take the "5 prisms that travle through walls" part, this would make a great zenith weapon for vanilla mage, i mean the rest of the things shown here are just a lot of bs that usually mods have, but the visual effects are great

Okay, might be wrong, but that prism should consume mana. YOU just had godmode enabled. It stated it uses 1 mana per usage, the same as the last prism (about).

i played calamity summoner and I can't stop saying that is a summoner weapon. (if they add animation for someone reading a book while 5 prisms shoot a hundred beams then it would be fine for me but seeing the character do nothing and see a bunch of lazers not coming from the character i cant help to think that this is a summoner weapon)

Wish that all the classes had something as cool and powerful as the zenith in base game terraria would be cool just to collect all the different weapons and seeing the final results of all the hard work at the end

As long as you have enough mana to use
it deal 1 damage per nano second thats almostly constant damage and no invincibilty frame that gonna rekt avery boss in the whole existance of terraria
