After watching both of your journeys. Sarah has come out of her shell from the first time while travelling with you Nikki. May you both carry on entertaining us her on the YT.
I have said this before and I'll say it again: I still think you're not shy: you are well-mannered. I think you are able to consider the possibility that someone else's life doesn't evolve around you. Which makes you not necessarily want to be the center of attention. It also comes with an interest in someone else's life. As talkative as you have become shows how confident you are. In short: great videos week in week out! 💙
Wow, Sarah! It's remarkable how quickly you've grown into doing this TH-cam thing. It's clear you've gotten really comfortable with it! Thanks for such an engaging video!
Good morning Sarah. From the beginning your confidence and outwardness has been noticeably increasing. You were always rather reserved or "shy" in your cousin's video. Adventuring on your own has definitely opened you up. Great to see. Thank you for your content and it's wholesomeness.😅
As far as a pet, you could do a cat instead of a dog, less maintenance, less space, easier on a hike if you want to carry it. Also next summer try to do Nova Scotia if you can, that would be cool, hardly anybody does a Nova Scotia travel video.
Sarah has definitely come out of her shell since she started her channel. Ive been watching since her trips with cousin Nikki, who im a subscriber of. Sarah was shy when travelling with Nikki and hardly said boo bless her. But then Nikki is incredibly animated and extroverted in her channel, so Sarah did look abit overwhelmed at times.❤ Shes also older now.😊😊
We have the same birthday!! I found you through Nikki's channel, love you both! I think what you see as awkward, I see as making you endearing, human, and relatable. You're doing amazing and I enjoy watching your journey!
I live in New Hampshire and absolutely love everything about it. We try to get up to the mountains at least 1 or 2 times a month, but really enjoy living in the Lakes Region.
The day you come to Australia.... you'll need a good 3 months IMO as we are a BIG country with a LOT of hiking trails. Plus you do not want to just stick to the coast (where most of the population will be) as there's adventures to be had a little further inland. Vanlifers (including those doing car vanlife) are all over the place here in Australia!
Hey Sarah. Just a shout out from a fellow introvert and overlander. I just Love your answers to those questions. You are such a well rounded young woman. I’m a counselor, but I don’t work in private practice anymore and I can tell you, you are very introspective and wise young lady. I used to live on Long Island but moved to Oregon and just started overlanding in my jeep patriot. I love to hike, love beautiful views and draw strength from God and nature. If I’m not spending time with both, I know my life will erupt into unrest. I look forward to your videos and am praying for you. Shalom.
You are amazing on your videos!🎉 I guess we all have some negative self-talk. Some of the national parks in Canada, like Banff, are as spectacular as Glacier! Your life seems awesome! Thanks for taking us along! ❤
Yeah that Katahdin hike was epic. Congratulations on doing it! The views looked beautiful from the top too. Lovely NH hike this week too. I love what you said about keeping your car maintained. It's not just your car now, it's your home.
Sarah, Don't doubt whether your videos are good, because and I have told you in your first video, it was good editing, a well thought through video. And surprise, surprise, these videos kept coming out every week! Especially the scenery looks awesome, in the city and in nature... Stay save, be carefull enjoy every second of live and life the live like you want to. With love from the Netherlands ❤ 😉
Love that you are visiting New Hampshire. Your videos and travels are fun to follow. We went there several years ago and fell in love with the Northeast. We hope to retire in that area in a few years. Nice that you travel in a Rav4. We just bought our second one. Now my daughter and wife have them. My daughter has been out to Utah and the surrounding Western states twice in hers already. Being safe and knowing your vehicle are important. We all love to travel and your videos have given us good ideas for where to go next. Will be going East this summer, have a small travel trailer as even our 4Runner is a bit small for my wife and I. Enjoy!
I noticed that some of the trails that you take are more like obstacle courses than trails. Around where I live most trails are also bike paths. So no roots or rocks to avoid. The nearby trails are named the "Prairie Path", The Great Western Trail" and the "Salt Creek Trail". In total there ore over a hundred miles trails. I live in the Western suburbs of Chicago. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your videos.
Sad we missed a chance to ask a question for the Q&A. This was really thoughtful, informative and well done 😊 thanks Sarah. So interesting that you also became a morning person. Same thing happened to us. I dunno if it's about the light from sunrise and sun, if it's the sound from being able to hear more of the world around you, or just the fact that we're more active in general. But it definitely all makes being a morning person easier and more natural. Getting out of our comfort zone and in changing environments is always kinda invigorating and uplifting in a way 🌱💚
Have you ever considered getting a dash cam for safety? You can get the kind that records both the front and rear of your vehicle. That way it would alert you if there's movement outside while you're sleeping, and when you're out on a hike or whatever. I recommend looking into it. Stay safe!
Funniest thing. I was driving across Death Valley was low on gas. The gas station was outta gas so I prayed all the way to outside of Bishop where gas was. It showed I had less than a quarter of a gallon of gas left.
Death Valley! SOS! No one in an hour! No GAS in car! Talk about worst of all cases! Thank God you made it out. Lesson learned for sure. Continued safe and happy travels, Sarah.👍🏾💙🤍❤️🙏🏾
Because you know how to check your fluid levels in your car, I hope you keep some extra anti-freeze, engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid and power steering fluid in your car. If you ever run out of transmission fluid, power steering fluid or brake fluid, you can swap them out or replace them with hydraulic fluid, because they are all hydraulic fluids.
Eh. More of a headache to carry them. Shes limited in space. If car is properly maintained, you never need them on the road, especially her Rav4. And besides, if she needs it, any auto stores or gas stations have them. She can buy when she needs it. Only thing shes gonna need at all times are tire inflator, and portable starter.
I love your videos…you’re so brave for following your dreams and just driving and exploring…some of us are stuck in the monotony of work and sleep just to get up and work and sleep
Yesterday in NY we hit 70 degrees (about the middle of Nov). A major plus for me would be following the weather and not having to deal with the cold! Also, in this or another video you mentioned an oil change every 10K miles. Toyota recommends every 5K miles (or six months, whichever icomes first) for the Rav4. Personally, I would change between three to five thousand to reduce wear and tear. Safe travels!
couple more safety tips, I’d recommend defense sprays for out hiking (bear spray) and while in a confined space hornet and wasp spray makes a great defense spray and myself personally I don’t let it be known with people I don’t know but I do carry a firearm and if you do that make sure you’re comfortable with it and get plenty of training and practice. but as Sarah already said, if you have any doubts about your safety in an area, pack up and leave. Also having a dog around that will alert you of anything you don’t notice is a bonus.
Pews pews are fine out in Montana or North Dakota but are possible trouble with the po-po in places you really need them like most places east of the Mississippi.
I disagree. Stay away from places where you think you would need a firearm. That way you didn't need one. I'm an OTR truck driver. I stay away from sketchy places and I'm right years have never needed a firearm. Plus if you kill someone they get to decide if you really needed too and that's drama you don't need. If they live, they can sue you. Bear spray and or a Taser is fine. Plus instinct😎
@@RoMo0276 yeh, right up until you kill someone by mistake. Then it's not safe for that person and you're probably going to jail. Right to carry, I get it, I support it, but it's not for everyone.
Im looking forward to seeing your travels down the East Coast and time in Florida. Hopefullybyou will detail hiw easybor difficult it is to find places to boondock. I live in North Georgia and would love to spend a week or two boondocking around Florida.
Hi Sarah I think that you are not shy about going camping alone you have a great teacher in the form off your beautiful cousin Nikki I love watching both off your channels.
Alaska? Try Juneau. State capital. Only 30,000 people. Has a small town feel. Surrounded by endless pristine, beautiful wilderness. **Try the hike to the top of Mount Juneau.** As to coming out of your shell while living on the road - that was true for me too. I think one reason was boredom. And loosening up in general.
Having been one of the people who watched you from the start and on Nikki’s channel as a guest before your own I would say you have grown a lot. You are much more relaxed on screen and you should be proud of how far you’ve come. ❤
It’s so cool to see your videos evolve each week! Thanks for taking us on your adventures. As a Floridian I highly recommend a stop in St. Augustine (light house, Castillo San de Marco, and much more plus haunted areas if you’re into that), and the Kennedy Space center. There are several rocket launches a week that are amazing in person and the museum is awesome 😎
Keep in mind, most National Parks don’t allow dogs on hiking trails. Since it would often not be safe (or legal) to leave your dog in the car it might not be a good idea.
Good evening, Sarah. Please consider getting a tactical / survival walking stick to use during your hikes. They are extremely personal and can come in handy during a survival or safety situation.
