This song has a message we all should think about. Souls are going somewhere.

I love seeing older people singing. I loved going to church with my grandma for the songs. Not Christian, I'm spiritual but we all have blue prints to the same source.
Love you all whoever is reading this. 🧘‍♂️

As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Lovely and slower than most with some gorgeous higher register voices ringing out

Are these the same folks who uploaded Nearer My God to Thee from Mt. Pisgah in Alabama? They're the best!

I would believe they would have been there, since they're from Alabama, but I do not know specifically.

A simple way to end confusion is to say "the war between the states".. as folks tend to still argue about it's inheritance in name

    Why the clapping?

I would suspect in appreciation for the fine lesson.

@@bobgap Possibly. To me it doesn't quite fit with the haunting tones of this song, but to each their own.

Its all about timing, the chanting is the lesson,

The clapping is unorthodox. Usually doesn't happen - leaders are mindful not to draw attention to themselves, typically. There is a certain amount of unspoken reverence, though I can appreciate her enthusiasm.
