I know Flagler does this also. My Loon brand came like it.
i watch so many videos and read so many articles, I did not know where i seen this from. Im not surprised it was Tim. He is a step ahead of me on most things. lol
Great tip. That will also eliminate the possibly of cutting any material that you've tied in. Not that I've ever done that, I know a guy that has. LOL! Keep the tips coming,
Im not sure what you are talking about, I mean Ive never cut the wrong material while trying to cut my thread. Lol. You have no clue how many times ive done that. Nothing like filming a video and a fly jumps apart while you cut your thread to make you feel like an idiot.
It does help with that also, but its also just one less step, i think its just smoother and faster for me.
It’s always nice to pass on a good tip, but you should give credit to Tim Flagler of Tightlines for this tip. If not the first to sharpen the butt end of a whip finisher, he is the first to widely publicize sharpening the tip and demonstrate its use.
After I saw Tim do it, I sharpened my whip finisher and tried it as a thread cutter. However, I find it faster to just use my scissors, because I keep them in hand even when using my whip finisher. If you regularly put your scissors down when picking up another tool, the sharpened tip use a time saver.
It's funny you say to give Tim Flagler the credit. I had no clue where I seen this done before. I know I didn't come up with it on my own, bot low and behold if Tim isn't the one to come up with it. That man is legendary at ideas to improve this hobby. So I'll gladly give the man his credit. He has forgot more than I'll probably ever know.
Cool video thanks man. I've seen these on tons of other vids but no how to make one.
thanks for watching
