- This video I will show you a product called Dirty Bug Yarn. It is a great alternative to using dubbing under some circumstances.

I love this stuff. I wish they had it in true hares ear color but the black has worked well for my tying smaller stonefly nymphs.
it is pretty handy. i hope they add more colors to their selection too.
Love it👍🧵🤠✌️🙏🇺🇸
Man doesn’t get any easier than that for a beginner. Great product and skill builder at the same time. Time to start filling boxes. Thank you for this video. God bless.
Couldn't agree more!
I’ve wondering how this yarn would look on a hook. Thanks.
If tying dirty bug yarn flies gets students on the same page, you could also do the same thing with wool or Antron yarn. Then you could also show them how to chop up the yarn to make single color dubbing and later to add and mix colors for multicolor dubbing. In turn, having dubbing they made themselves might make them more motivated to learn other methods of applying dubbing. Catching fish on the first flies you made yourself is a thrill. Hope you get them hooked. :-)
I think that would be a great idea, we will definitely make some dubbing in a class in the future.
Y'all need to get a bobbin rest!
I have one, i just never got used to using it. I need to practice with it so I can get comfortable with it being there.
