Dude this is awesome! We have a small kitchen that currently the stove houses the cast iron pans. I was looking for ideas and probably going with this on the opposite wall! Thx

I love your cast irons with the handle . Where did you purchase if you don't mind me asking

Most of them were inherited from grandparents or bought at antique stores!

Thanks for the how-to, you're giving me a few ideas for my place. One question, is there any reason to go with the soap sealer over the tung oil sealer that you recommend for butcher block? Again, thank you for all the effort you put into your videos!

Nope! Both would be great options. I was actually just using tung oil today to seal more trim we’re installing. I use both interchangeably for projects more depending on the look. Since I used white oak for those shelves I wanted more of the whitening effect from the soap. Thanks for watching and good luck with your projects!

We actually use all of them! Different sizes work better for different dishes. The bigger ones have a thicker bottom so they take a lot longer to heat but the smaller ones have a thinner bottom that heats quicker which is perfect for frying up an egg or something quick. We make pizzas in the bigger ones and often use multiples if we’re having guests. Thanks for watching!

@@FromScratchFarmstead ok I see. Thanks for explanation! I just luke them because thyre so rustic. It is grounding for me but to save power I have to use a carbon steel wok. I only cook stir fry type food but I'd love to cook with cast iron over a fire. I'm not sure I'm even allowed to make a fire in my yard. So, if I made a fire in the Dutch oven can I use a fry pan over it? So it rests on top of it? I guess I'm asking if u can put coals into the Dutch oven and light them?
