- Radahn's Greatswords all being in the Colossal Sword category has always been a bummer to me.
So I changed that, they're now Curved Greatswords, with a custom moveset.
While the custom moveset is already available in my now released mod, I've made a few little changes to it so it flows better.
And for the next update, I've merged the 2 new greatswords into a single one!
The Ash of War is now a Stance AOW, letting you do both attacks !

They will never do that because of their pride, they added Torrent to the final boss when the published the DLC for a reason, not because they weren't able to do it before lol

Stance of the Lord would probably be a better name, since this weapon comes from a Radahn that’s controlled by Miquella. A Radahn that uses holy attacks much more than magic

The new stance is huge, i feel like they did not add nearly enough stance aow to use with the new talisman. So great to see ppl come in to fill in the space fromsoft left behind!
Unfortunately, this AoW will likely not work with the talisman

always hated the insistence on huge boss weapons, but it's especially annoying that not even 1 of the 3 radahn swords are a CGS. cool mod.
Best we've got is Freyja's Sword (which you only get 1 of).

I HIGHLY doubt that they will give the swords a unique moveset but the ashe of war idea is litterly perfect
It's such a banal idea it's absurd fromsoft didn't think of it and made two weapons
I mean rellana's swords have a unique moveset, and it is indeed one of her attacks. So not doing it with the most important and final boss of the game, plus the actual weapons being hot garbage damage wise and same moveset as the other radahn gratswords is insane

@@xaitat It's probably because Lightspeed Slash can be charged, while Promised Consort has followups. Stance, charged and combo (And chanelled, like Wild Strikes or Comet Azur. But that's not relevant here) are each a different subcategory of attacks with different controls, some of which have their own talismans too (Namely Rellana's Cameo and Godfrey's Icon). It's not like they can't make it, but it'd have extremely complicated inputs, with way more button combinations than any other attack in the game, to the point people likely wouldn't even know how to use without reading the description.
Still a really weird choice though, even if there is logic to it.
I think a good tweak to this moveset would be to aim the swings upward more. Both starscourge and promised consort Radahn are both swinging downward significantly in their fight due to the tarnished being a manlet, and that only really works when you're significantly taller than your opponent. Super low-to-the-ground swings tend to miss a lot against taller enemies, so that change would make the hits a lot easier to land.
might be a lot of work since I think he only extract and moved Radahn's moveset to the player's animations so as good as it sounds I don't think that will be happening

I've been complaining about the moveset for these weapons for a while, the decision to make them paired colossal swords and having two separate weapons with different ash of wars was a terrible decision
It would've been fine if paired colossal swords weren't complete dogshit, like they had the PERFECT foundation, ringed knight paired ugs l1 moveset was amazing... then they churn out this slow unuseable garbage for elden ring 😭whyyy

@@raiguy89 no clue at all. They did the same thing with axes, they have a really good powerstance axe moveset in ds3 while they made a new, complete dogshit one for elden ring 😂

Fighting Radahn was nothing short of amazing and an absolute honour but the only disappointing thing about the whole experience is the reward you get and you good sir showed us what could've been and i do hope by some miracle we'll get it in the OG game

I don't like mods but this is perfect. That is exactly what they should have done. It's the final boss weapon. Make it fully unique ffs.
Many weapons in general could have stance aows. Especially the somber ones. Or at least extra inputs after the L2. Greatsword of damnation comes to mind. And many others really. Anyway, great job.

If you ever touch up the starscourge I think it could be awesome to have the same stance mechanic with the heavy being the gravity pull and slam, possibly even with the AoE that Consort has in his. The light could be the spinning gravity thrust ash, since base game Radahn does this attack. Just an idea, I loveee this mod!!
This makes the weapons entirely different now and that’s amazing. I don’t really like how they just repeated the same move it just didn’t feel like the weapons were that unique or as of war and design wise, but this changes entirely, which is wonderful

Some of the powerstancing moves would likely be hard to balance, but i am in favor of merging the weapon ash into a stance skill and giving a unique-ish moveset, something quicker with lower MVs than a traditional powerstancing moveset for big swords, but not too flashy with long animations because then theyre unusuable or really hard to balance the hyper armor and animation damage of to keep from being OP

I gotta be completely honest, I didn't see the part in the video name that said this was a mod, so i was completely flabbergasted thinking that this was the actual moveset. Now I'm kinda disappointed I'll never have this.

One Quick question: Would it be possible to add a THIRD Stance attack, by press L1 during the stance? Because I was thinking that it might be cool to have either the Bloodflame Slash Combo, OR the spinning gravity thrust on that as well ;D

The idea of it being like a Collosal Curved greatsword is really good
Although I like how Promised Consort has three remembrance rewards instead of just two, it's weird to split the same sword into two versions. Very cool, very good rework!
Note, I especially like how the pose for the Stance Skill is his iconic "I'm gonna crush you" pose. Looks so amazing on a player character!
This looks so gooood. One thing that bothers me just a little bit is the fact that the AOW light attack is longer than the heavy, so switching the heavy with the light input would make this just slightly better. Disregarding that this weapon is absolutely perfect
this part works like the original Promised Consort AOW, which means, it requires additional inputs.
If you press R1 only once, it's much shorter than the heavy.

If Darksouls 3 can have unique weapon movesets, so can Elden Ring (besides the unique heavy attacks for some weapons). For example, the ringed knight paired greatswords, and the farron greatsword with the dagger.

Can you hand of Melania next? A couple ideas I had were changing the heavy attack to her flurry of sword strikes. And a new version of waterfowl dance that when charged will also deal rot. This can only happen if your wearing the rottenwing sword insignia or rot exhaultation. I've had this on my mind for a while and you really look like you know your stuff.
One thing I wish the base game had was the difference between curved UGS and normal UGS. The light attack chain was something I didn't know I needed until now

the only thing that makes it look weird is how fast the attacks are, make them slightly slower like other greatswords and it will look like from made it

No lie this looks way better than the original weapons from the dlc. I hate this concept of weapons being big so the swing slow it sucks
while I get why they wouldn't put such a fast moveset onto an ultra, I do wish it at least had a unique moveset similar to this one - though probably a bit slower. The thing they definitely could and should have done was the stance that you did for the ash of war. Not sure why they felt the need to split it into two different weapons, maybe they just wanted either one to be able to come out instantly? Either way, the stance you chose looks awesome

At the very least, this is what the AoW should have been like in the base game/DLC.
New moveset is really cool and matches Radahn. Could use a few small changes to make it flow better between attacks. But the AOW!!!! THAT'S WHAT IT SHOULD'VE BEEN THE WHOLE TIME, NOT 2 ENTIRELY SEPERATE SWORDS

This is awesome, only thing that i think would be cool is to have one of the attacks (perhaps at the end of a combo) did the blood flame attack
I do want to integrate the bloodflame but I'm not sure doing it in a combo is ideal yet.
I'll play around with a few things, as I do need to update the AOW a bit anyway, so I'll check a few other things as well.

This is what we should have gotten! Amazing mod, love how well thought out the moveset is, with all of Radahn's different attacks. Combining the ashes into a stance ash is a no-brainer, pretty disappointed Fromsoft didn't just give us some sort of gravity attack from the Radahn fight instead for int builds. The final fight really just feels like it suffered from rushed development to me, you can really see it if you ever look up Radahn's hitboxes lmao.
