Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-57 is a single-seat, twin-engine stealth multirole fighter developed by Sukhoi for the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Su-57 is the first fighter in Russian military service to feature stealth technology. The multirole fighter is designed to have supercruise, supermaneuverability, stealth, and integrated avionics to overcome the previous generations fighter aircraft as well as ground and naval defences. The Su-57 is intended to succeed the MiG-29 and Su-27 in the Russian Air Force.

i thought the crazy maneuvers the '5th generation enemy fighter" did in Top Gun Maverick was largely fiction. But here it is, doing them for real. Impressive.

@@danielbrown9368 even more useless when you take into consideration how so many russian aircraft have a death stall directly caused from specific angles that kill the engines (Think Su-27 stalling backwards, wings blocking the engine air intake)

enemy following you - you pull that maneuver, and now the youre behind the enemy - locking onto it. boom. that simple. especially if youre out of missiles and ammo (again, like in the movie) if you can out maneuver the other person and make them waste their ammo, you get to live another day. a jet that out maneuvers is usually the one that wins.
Leading edge control surfaces, multiple ailerons per wing (from what I can see here, anyway, could have that wrong), vectored exhausts, independent rudders and elevators, and more thrust than any sane person would consider necessary.... yep, it can do some pretty crazy shit. The only limitation is the squishy little meat-sack flying it. First nation to get a fully autonomous 5th gen fighter jet will absolutely own the skies.
I'm an American, and I'm a huge fan of the classics like the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, the Hornet, the Tomcat and obviously the newer, tech-laden F-35 and Big Boy Raptor (Su-57s direct competitor). That being said, this aircraft, and ESPECIALLY the pilot behind the stick, have my utmost respect and admiration.
Just....utter skill and TALENT!
It really is a helluva shame that politics, cultural differences and GREED get in the way of this world's superpowers working together to bring about a brighter future for us all.

But the SUCHOI 34 ( not Stealth ) can carry more weapons and has a maximum
range of 3400 Kilometers.( Carrying 4 Hellfire & 4 Bigger Precision Smart Bombs )
and has Air Fight skills like the F 18. Cockpit of Suchoi 34 has permanent Air pressure so
Pilots don't have to wear masks. For longer missions seats can be moved in SLEEP
POSITION and plane has a COFFEE MACHINE and a MICROWAVE OVEN for breakfast.

It’s like it’s completely weightless at times, and then it just thrusts and turns into a 5G neck breaker. Seconds later it’s dancing around the sky like a ballerina. What a beautiful piece of engineering.
Same with the F-22 Raptor. Truly incredibly feats of engineering. Pilots have been dreaming about this kind of high maneuverability since the inception of powered flight.

We've had this maneuverability for a while, it just wasn't practical with the amount of speed and energy these maneuvers would bleed, but now that we have significantly more powerful engines that weigh the same as older engines + new engineering, it is now more practical.
The Typhoon easily outmanoeuvres it....just like the F22

By far one of the coolest jets to watch. They really did a nice job with this. Makes you wonder what else it could do if Russia were able to put the proper engines originally intended for this plane.
It'd probably look the same. I would assume the limitation is the airframe, not the engines.

Su 27 was doing that at farnborough 30 years ago.
It is able to do that because of its three dimensional thrust vectoring. It can do controlled stalls like no other aircraft in history. I am so sad to say that the US does not have a modern plane that can do that. The F-22’s thrust only vectors up and down, but it is much better for stealth capabilities. During the late 90’s when there was a potential plan to update the F-14, they played with some designs that could include the 3D thrust vectoring. It would have been a huge task, but I wish they did it with the newest F-15.

Amazing that the plane is in total control by the pilot through this. Fighters are so stall resistant these days its amazing,both aerodynamcally and compressor.
Absolutely...back in the 80's it would have gone into a flat spin ..!!! But they smoke a lot and are very easy to spot ...it's what they don't show you...!!!
Actually it's in total control by the flight computers. The pilot only tell it what to do. With out the FCS that planes would be uncontrolable.
No flight computer made could trace the razor edge of a stall envelope like this pilot just did. Seriously, you think the Russians aeroengineers can write a half-knot-from-stall flight program like that? Where a sudden wing gust could spoil everyone's day?

It does stall, multiple times, it's just that it's designed to be controllable in a stall and still have really good authority, especially with the help of thrust vectoring and Fly By Wire tech.
Fighter jets like this are inherently unstable, which makes them incredibly maneuverable

При разработке и испытаниях БМ имела обозначение «Объект 634». В 1980 году машина успешно прошла государственные испытания и была рекомендована для принятия на вооружение в ВС СССР.
Советское время отмечено созданием ряда лодок - мировых рекордсменов: самые большие лодки - проект 941 «Акула» (подводное водоизмещение - 48 000 тонн), самая скоростная - проект 661 «Анчар» (до 44,7 узлов), самая глубоководная - 685 «Плавник» (до 1 250 м), скоростные и манёвренные подводные истребители проекта 705К «Лира».
Т-55 - советский средний танк. Танк создан на базе танка Т-54. Принят на вооружение Армии СССР в 1958 году. Производился с 1958 по 1979 год. Т-72 - основной танк России. Производство этого танка было развернуто с 1973 г. Т-80 (Объект 219) - боевая машина, основной танк, производившийся в СССР.
Танк с единой газотурбинной силовой установкой. Первый в мире основной танк со встроенной противоснарядной динамической защитой. Принятый на вооружение в 1976 году армии СССР, затем России. Первые серийные образцы, разработанные СКБ-2 на базе Т-64А, выпускались на Кировском заводе в Ленинграде. Весна, силосная яма, глубиной, эдак метров 5... Разумеется, парашют не раскрылся, я чуть не утонул... Яма наполнилась талой водой, градусник болтался на отметке +2-3... Благо, ротозеев собралось немало, спасали меня " ордой'. Не успокоился...😰. Следующей зимой взобрался на местный элеватор и сиганякнул с 45 метровой высоты в наметённый, большой сугроб. Что и следовало ожидать: грабли сработали - парашют хоть и раздулся, но площадь его была таки мала, что пикирование, зараз, мягко принял наметённый снежный "Эверест"...🤕🤕🤕 Обошлось одним сломанным ребром и только... Но больше не представилось случая " дефелировать" безрассудством). Повзрослел...😀😄🤔, чуток мозги дурить перестали, так сказать,капризничать...

The Sukhoi designs are beautiful & this one obviously performs well.
Tight fit in the SU-57 Felon cockpit in comparison to the F-35A Lightning II (my fave jet fighter). The SU-57’s complete manoeuvrability of it’s vertical / horizontal stabilisers (all-moving rudders) combined with it’s 3D thrust vectoring are obviously the reason for it’s miraculous acrobatics.
Edit : I can’t believe the footage edit went to the crowd @ 2:24 before the climbing roll into an insanely inverted tail-slide was completed.🤦🏼♂️
Absolutely stunning. The way that thing moves is unholy, mate; I think a dogfight with one of these aircraft would be one of the top 3 stress-inducing situation available inside the Earth’s atmosphere.

Well it would be unloaded with short fuel
It has 3D thrust vectoring, it didn't have missiles so it won't be as maneuverable when fully armed. Plus, staying in one spot on the air makes you an easy target. Dumb, pointless tech.

What a Amazing design absolutely beautiful fighter jet an the pilot knows his stuff
The Russian fighter pilots I used to see during LIMA air shows are simple looking guys, they look flabby, not much of glamour and don't interact with the crowd. But these guys are fearless daredevils will execute unbelievably insane manoeuvres. I always believe that the Russian scientist and engineers are different level when it comes to designing fighter aircrafts. Having said all that there are several fighters did not live up to its expectations. MiG 25, for example it could not carry any weapons coz it was too bulky but it could fly speeds of Mach 2.7 and 2.8, with an operational ceiling above 80,000 feet. Apart from the enormous speed and ceiling height it doesn't have much to shout about. Generally speaking most Russian fighter aircrafts have amazingly agile and superior maneuverability. Just look at this aircraft in an inverted flying it can turn around, this is simply astonishing

What an incredible plane and that pilot has amazing skill. No doubt about it, the SU-57 and the F-22 are the two best jets in the world. Which is better? They are both amazing planes so I think it just comes down to the pilot flying them as to which would be best. I just can't stress enough though how impressive the skills of that pilot. Never seen any display quite like this... simply amazing.

@@Ruslan_Ivanov2023 F35 is a joke and not even in same class flight wise. F22 though is on par with this. Here is a video I shot of an F22 showing its amazing slow flight abilities. th-cam.com/video/SjfBxbYs-o0/w-d-xo.html I've shot many videos of F22s in flight and think it is very comparable to the SU-57 flight wise. Both have thrust vectoring and tons of thrust to weight for doing amazing maneuvers. BTW, despite what our governments are doing currently, I believe if we see another world war, it is still possible for the USA and Russia to be on the same side.
@@AK-ky3ou the F35 may have tech but it is definitely not the better fighter. It is not even close to either the SU57 or the F22. It is more of a lock on target from as far away as possible and shoot then run type aircraft. The F35 is underpowered and still has far too many issues. It has one of the worst combat readiness scores of all modern jet aircraft.
Su57 has screens in the engine air inlets which close to block radar waves. then it opens vents underneath to suck air into the engines. This way there is zero radar reflection from air intakes.
