@@LoganScott. I think I used silicone glue from Auto Zone. Either way, it’s been on for a while and that decklid hasn’t gone anywhere. It might peel your paint if you want to take it off after using the glue, so be aware of that.
I replaced The backlid as well And I'm not sure what it's called but I it's like some kind of like JB weld I put that behind it, it doesn't come loose.
The deck lid looks up side down looking at it from the side. I'm pretty sure I am wrong. It could be the heat due to where you live. Your back lights looks like they have heat damage which is pretty common due to where you live. I live in Texas and the heat index is f-ing massive. Where did you get your tail lights from?
The Decklid is mounted right (from my understanding) but I’m pretty sure it was wrapped from factory. Has never sat right to begin with. Tried fixing it and never had any lucky unless I do heavy work to it. The taillights I bought from Amazon when they first came out. Never had issues with them. Only the clear coat pissed itself off. As you mentioned, I feel like we live at the edge of hell with this heat which doesn’t help haha
Clear Euro style lights. They’re work spot on with the exception of cosmetics. It may have something to do with the desert heat as well. I wouldn’t write these off just yet because I could be 1 out of 100 that had this issue, until proven otherwise.
You need to use glue for the decklid. I was having the same issue with my decklid and finally shoved glue in there, and it’s been solid ever since.
