I played table tennis for my university. This game took my soul. I am not a world class player but just an average ordinary player. But this is the game I endeavored so much that even the sound of the bouncing ping pong ball made me forgot everything around me. Still love this game. For me these players are like gods. Though I don't play anymore this awake my feelings. The intensity, speed power, reaction , eye technique, foot technique never parallel to any game. Good bless the game. !
seriously and literally the best video of table tennis ive seen on youtube, these are the videos i like, thankyou so much for this, ai apreciatte it, teach me someday!!!
Fantastic video, reverters. INcredible editing to match the music, great point selection. Somehow you managed to capture not just the athleticism and fury of table tennis, but also the human side, the dramatic side. Wonderful!
Ma Lin is crying in the moment when he defeats Wang Hao in the 2008 Olimpics Final probably in his last olimpics games, the most important title for a Professional Player, and Wang Li Quin cries in 2001 when he won his first Word Table Tennis Championship against Kong Lihui getting back 0-2 in sets. Two epics moments in the table tennis history.
@Eiki7 Ma Lin won the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games final against Wang Hao. He cried because of happiness, Wang because of sadness. There is also the fact that Ma Lin lost his real level around 2006, he was ranked outside the top100 of the world, but he wanted so much to win the Oympics that somehow... He recovered his real level during the event. Nobody espected it.
i had two thoughts this entire thing. 1.) never thought ud need that much space for table tennis. 2.) can you imagine watching these games like 30 years ago? you probably couldnt even see the ball and it would just look like two insane guys thrashing around
@FindingTeemoGaming I also play both games, table tennis is technically-mentally much harder and needs more hours of training to reach elite level. Tennis is more demanding on your body injury wise but aerobically table tennis is harder, no one is able to play table tennis at an elite level for hours without a decent break for rest. Often tennis matches go that long outside in the sun without any real problem, this shows you how aerobically demanding each sport is
Tan Ruiwu, those points were pretty good, but if you watch some of his other matches, those points were really his best. He is not very consistent, as I thought when I first saw this video! He has a good mentality for strategy, but he can't keep up with the higher class players. Still darn good!
@JOBOB335 guess cos its interesting. u wont understand unless u play the game. i used to feel that way before until i starated to play. now i think its simply the best. u will be amaxed how fast the human body can move, react and predict bounce trajectories unconciously. its simply the best. Last thing. Your first sidespin shot its something to look forward too.
Does anyone know the name of the smaller player from Croatia? It looks like his name is Tan M. or something. He's really amazing... Almost as much as Jan Ove...
OMG! WATS THE NAME OF THAT SONG I USED TO LISTEN TO THAT CONSTANTLY CONSTANTLY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL all i can remember is it has to do something with the matrix is dis the the matrix's theme song perhaps?
I found out, it's Tan Ruiwu, the smaller asian Croatian player... After watching an entire match of him playing, he really wasn't very consistent, just quick...
are there any stats on what percentage of the smash/lob/smash/lob/smash... points are won by the player doing the lobbing? i wonder if the chances for the lobber are better if they just smack one back and rush back to the table, rather than lob forever.
Dan Cornelius they try to counterattack, but this is risky too, because if the couterattack is too short you can stop and and the lob-guy have no chance. They lob because it's the last opportunity to make the point.
@FindingTeemoGaming If your not moving in table tennis then your not playing at a very high level. Agreed that you do not have to cover as much ground, but reaction times are quicker, the amount of spin is profound, amd you must know the characteristics of your opponent paddle or you are lost. Table tennis is much more difficult.
thx for uploading this vid! :D Now I can show my friends how hard table tennis really is ;D I hate this shit words "table tennis is not a sport because you have not to run" -.- I`m very glad that I play this sport coz its my favorite and for me its the sport where you must have the most skill xD
I watched this video when I started playing table tennis, now I have played for 9 years, thank you for giving me a great childhood
i dont play table tennis..but this is amazing and would take pure skill...could watch this all day

@JOBOB335 guess cos its interesting. u wont understand unless u play the game. i used to feel that way before until i starated to play. now i think its simply the best. u will be amaxed how fast the human body can move, react and predict bounce trajectories unconciously. its simply the best. LOL, look how hard Weixing is trying to hide his serve at 0:20
maze loves to lob it high and to stand far from the table. this used to work on many chinese players, but i guess not since a few years ago.
ma lin is crying when won the olympics games 2008 and wang liqin when won world championship in osaka 2001
Did anyone notice how many left handed people are in the video?
uuuuuu.. makes me wanna play!
Does anyone know the name of the smaller player from Croatia? It looks like his name is Tan M. or something. He's really amazing... Almost as much as Jan Ove...
Who is the skinny Chinese dude with the righteous widow's peak? He's really fun to watch.
Who's the bald one in Croatia? i'm totally amazed with his magic skills... zipped... :)

I have a question..who is playing in the match that a lot of points are taken from between HKG and CRO. Is it Ko Lai Chak? Who is he playing?
Who is this guy from croatia? He is very good...
It's called "The matrix theme song"
I found out, it's Tan Ruiwu, the smaller asian Croatian player... After watching an entire match of him playing, he really wasn't very consistent, just quick...

Hey reverters,
Do you know where I can find the video where Ma Lin is crying after his olympic victory?
Thanks, peace

It's Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death.
@fro0o
thank you :)
who's the checkered red fella at 5:09 after?
@Aiakhos actually ma lin will play in 2012 also
it's not possible to give so much backspin to let the ball go under the table on the other side of the table.
@FindingTeemoGaming
