- Kingdom Hearts has always dealt with the concept of the 7 lights and 13 darknesses, with the 20 pieces of X-Blade divided into 7 and 13, but with new developments on the Darkness, perhaps division of the 20 isn't true and that there was always meant to be XIII.

The point of this video is HMK asking who is the Judas among the 13.

I think Riku would be the one on both teams as someone who “conquered the darkness” and tho he fights on the side of light he’s not afraid of using his darkness (like he already does with spells like dark firgra)
Perhaps there are actually 2 different enemy factions for Sora to fight against.
(One faction is the Foretellers, Luxu, and the Master of Masters, and the other is the 6 willful Darknesses.)
There are 13 enemies, but 6 of them are against the other 7, and Sora and his Phase 2 allies get caught in between.

I mean, she would be the humble pride. Its like HMK's theory that I agree with: That doesn't mean its the aggressive sin, more so the Sins of Light are more so the humble versions of them.
This was an awesome theory. I love the idea of Yozora being someone of both the light and the darkness.
Agreed! I mean, think about it, Yozora translates to Night Sky, meaning that the Night Sky could relate to both light (representing the moon and stars,) and darkness (representing the black sky.). My guess is that Sora won't be just the main protagonist, Yozora might.
It would be befitting of the True King to have a command of both sides.

What if the darkness is trying to restore balance with the light? Maybe light got greedy and decided all must be light. What if light started the war? Maybe the darkness must consume the worlds to fix and create a new balanced reality. One must exist for the other.

Problem... Darkness and Light are almost unidentifiable when It comes down “balance”. How could there be too much light? Darkness as a state (being in a state of blindness, nighttime without the moon shining above, getting lost), Darkness as an element (fire, water, wind, earth...), Darkness as a place (an “abyss” or “depths” of something or somewhere), & Darkness as in evil... or simply choosing not to follow light, for is there really an imbetween if the chooses are to follow light or to not follow light. For light can be misinterpreted, and one following such a misinterpretation in reality is following a light that is not actually light, but a distraction from true goodness “true light”...

Unfortunately I think the Master of Masters has forgotten this, blinded most likely by pain of losing someone he loved dearly. It will be up to Sora and the others to show the MoM the truth.

Your theory makes sense because a nobody traditionally is a form of darkness, until it is reckoned for now sora was and still is a guardian of light.
His nobody Roxas born from darkness also became a guardian of light in the end.
So maybe the six darknesses are supposed to be part of the seven guardians.

Who all have connections to darkness without being a nobody or a xehanort vessel. If willful darknesses need to be connected to a person to exist then we already have 5 potential candidates from existing characters.

Yes a big year I’m perhaps at title release (kinda eh on that, seems too fast but maybe) but 2022 can have big trailers akd stuff for a 2023 release, where’s as at e3 we could get a teaser or some sorts cutscene clip for the hype

I think that the seven lights are akin to moderators due to their keyblades allowing changes to the world via locks, the thirteen darknesses possess that ability to mimic being a moderator by adding a "X" to themselves. The X-blade is actually just the qualification of becoming an administrator of Kingdom Hearts that required a special procedure to make as the deletion of the moderators sends a message to the admin, but because none exists the ability to make one becomes available by vote... however Xehanort took the 13 keys so it is mostly his vote for himself.
Nomura does like to make his allegories to database programming, who knows

Remember that their are 7 Virtues that Mirror the Seven Deadly Sins. Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, & Humility.
I'd Keep a Look out for their Latin Names. I think these Might come up in the future as the Seven Lights.

I hope we actually get more, lore on the 7 princesses of Heart. I always wondered what was there purpose. I mean in KH1 we had to save them from Maleficent and Ansem. And in KH3 Sora and friends became *Guardians* of Light that had to protect the princesses of heart and new princess of heart. But like...what made them so special in the first place? And are they some how connected to the 7 crowns?
Also for the 6 Darknesses with Will...where have they been all this time. An did Ventus have two inside him. Which are Vanitas and the other one, that Sora was talking to when he entered Heart...an if so what became of the other ones. So many questions, hopefully the ending of Union cross and the next sequel game can explain them.

Vanity is pride in oneself such as appearance or accomplishments it can be associated with being empty in speech such as not keeping vows or having no values. Reminds me of Jason Stillwater from no retreat no surrender.

This one may sound a little ridiculous, but it may have sense somehow: the darkness that confronted luxu say that they gave up their physical form in order to defeat the light, so maybe their goal is to regain this physical form, or something more crazy: what if this six darknesses were part of a single being of darkness, and their goal is to reunify themselves to bring back this being

I don't know why, but I think of Isa from the past. I feel like as Saix he was both Anger and Jealousy/Envy, he was easily norted due to being jealous of Lea and his being a berserker nobody showing the anger (with him in berserker form showing blind anger, like a person who is extremely irate).

What if the Gigas were the completed version of the huge Heartless that Sora fought in KH1 and the Huge Nobody Roxas Fought in KH2 because the Gigas are powered by someone's karma being accelerated and when it get destroyed the person lost their heart to create the Huge Heartless in KH1 and the Huge Nobody in KH2.

I think that this theory is very interesting the idea of the True XIII being 7/lights and 6 Darkness is a very likely.
Personally I think the Seven Virtues can be tied to the Dandelions which would allow them to mirror the Seven Sins. You should check out the Seven Virtues because a lot of writers in Japan are doing the Seven Sins vs Seven Virtues concept.
Luxu (Lust) - (Chasity/Purity)
Gula (Gluttony) - (Temperance)
Ava (Greed) - (Charity)
Aced (Sloth) - Brain (Diligence) otherwise known as Wisdom in other Anime like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Also has traits of Persistence and Effort to uncover Darkness
Ira (Wrath) - Laurium (Patience) who was impatiently looking for his sister but upon discover her killer he chose to forgive Ventus and show mercy which are traists of Patience
Invi (Envy) - Skuld (Kindness) who showed compassion and convern for others. She cares for the players and Ventus and is kind to all
Master of Master/Xsuper (Pride) - Ephemer (Humility) He has doubted his own worthiness as the leader of the Dandelion but has shown modesty and bravery
It depends where Ventus, Strelitzia, Chirithy or Elrena fits in... Ven could be purity... Laurium could be temperance too...

Again going to say something weird but remember that being of light were not ment to use the corridors of darkness. So if MoM was originally from another world along with darkness, shouldnt we trace the origin of who the individuals were or how the keyblades came to be? With the foretellers and vanitas would it not make sense that the darknesses came from the foretellers? That vanitas came from MoM? First you have pride then you have guilt and finally you have humility. My guess the foretellers are not complete entities. Similar to the organization I believe these beings are taken apart not as nobodies and heartless but similar to ventus. All due to MoM trying to create the keyblades. My guess, Sora is tied to the Master of Masters in a different way and will have to battle both lights and darks in the future. In a way think of it as lights that burn to bright that intentionally kept others in a shadow. Reason I said this was MoM knew of Sora yet purposely set xehanort on his path that would cause Sora to go through all the BS. We never even considered if the MoM has been parading around as a human. The irony of a darkness wearing a black coat that somehow gained a heart... my random speculations though.
The "True 13" won't be a thing, at least not that I could see. 20 is an important number too, especially since KH seems to be taking more inspirations from Judeo-Christian myth. The 20 people that would've stopped God from destroying Sodom and Gamorrah. Seven Deadly Sins (which we already know the Foretellers are a parallel to/serve as a vessel for), and then the 13 Original Angels. There were only 12, and then Lucifer was born, giving us the 13th.
That was the one thing that pissed me off about KH, the community would latch onto the 7 and 13 stuff and not pay attention to the significance of 20.
6 darkness possess 6 lights, and the 7th has to beat the others to bring forth the original darkness.

I legitimately thought I understood what Kingdom Hearts was about better than most people. You lost me about halfway through that. Clearly I need to go through Union Cross and Dark Road.
The X-Blade broke up into 20 pieces right? 7 of light and 13 of darkness. The 7 lights became the hearts for the 7 princess (Snow White, Cinderella, Alice, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Kairi) but of course now those lights (minus Kairi) have been inherited by 6 new princesses. So far it is believed Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa are 3 of them and I’m sure many have ideas on who the rest are. One question though still remains, what happened to the 13 darknesses? Both organizations were actually substitutes for the darknesses. But why? Why didn’t Xehanort gather the 13 darknesses? Did he not know what happened to them or did he but he didn’t belive he could capture them? And why did he use Maleficent and her allies to gather the princesses? Why didn’t he just have the organization do it? Possible theory, he got the 13 darknesses into gathering themselves. If the princesses hearts are pure light, then what does that mean for the 13 darknesses.They became the hearts for 13 of the most darkest people, the Disney villains. 7 Princesses of Light, 13 Lords of Darkness. Question now is… who could they be?

Interesting theory but I mean to be fair Roxas still weilds the darkness that's why he has oblivion he's using the light and darkness in unison for good. And Sora already has the darkness form which he's perfected even more in 3 so it's only a matter of time until Sora masters it so much that's it powers just become apart of his normal form which would add to his piece being a kings crown perhaps he's the leader of the true 13 and the master of masters is him but a version of him that strayed from the path and it will all end with Sora the true 13 and their friends fighting the master of masters.
From a symbolic stand point of the number of 13. HMK is asking who is the Judas among the 13.

I want to present two things, bare with me. I think the darknesses that M.O.M. and Luxu were talking too were the Darknesses that had inhabited them at that point. M.O.M. just didn't tell Luxu that it already happened to prevent him from trying to fight it or attempt to shake it loose. Venitas a possibility was the darkness from Ava? Untill it's explained where she went or what happened to her I feel it's a possibility or could he be a lesser darkness. Either way leaves possibilities of more than 7. JS
I’ve been hoping ever since the announcement of how many willful darknesses are out there (I mean we have to assume they’re going to somehow be like Vanitas), that KH4’s story line focuses on taking care of these darknesses. The Master, Luxu, and the Foretellers saved for the end of that game, and become the main antagonists of 5&6. I’m hoping the Master needs a certain amount of darkness and certain amount of light to open the box.

Since we know MoM had basically raised the Foretellers to be vessels for darknesses, it's totally likely each "sin" was meant for them. But that doesn't explain how one ended up in Wonderland 🤔 except maybe Scala's prior Ragnarok

If you want you can also consider that there are 7 heavenly virtues to counteract the 7 deadly sins patience, temperance, diligence, humility, charity, chastity and gratitude. Two of them at least could easily pertain to a person of both light and dark gratitude and temperance. Temperance is self restraint and able to not completely give in to darkness and gratitude could be someone infected by darkness but still able to give thanks and show kindness regardless of their situation in life

I wonder if the master needed luxu to be part xehanort for the next stages of his plans also im so sure the master is a replica and with vantias in the main timeline it sets up the stage for the darkness to travel then with the foretellers in the present time and them being vessels of darkneas all very intresting🤔

Could be true, but we don't really know enough. It seems Sora will be in the fictional realm in the next game, as is the masters of masters (if he succeeded). The ending of union cross does give us more questions then answers. But the more I saw Ephemer, the more I thought he and Sora to be a lot alike. I'm quite hyped for the next Infos from Square, as this would be a great timing next week or I'm fall/winter when the last parts of dark road get published. I just hope we will hear something this year, even with all the projects Square already has in motion with dragon quest 12, FF14 Endwalker, FF16, the new PS5 game and the next parts of the FF7 remake.
This was a great theory hehe...kinda late but hey ~ Anyways, there were original 13 darknesses, 7 darknesses where planned to obsessed 7 individuals who has a strong will, but what if the foretellers didn't succeed in taking control of the darkness but rather they were controlled by the darkness itself - this might make sense since they'll be the villains/antagonist in KH4. And also to balanced the number 13 one should side with both sides...Light and Darkness won't be able to exist with one of them missing, that's why they have to co-exist. With this "one" person to side with light and darkness, Sora and Yozora is a best fit for this... Sora for Light and Yozora for Dark. Sora (Sky), Yozora (Dark Sky).
Also let's think about this yozora means dark sky and sora means sky. Sora is def a light but vanitas is already dark sora so maybe yozora is the half and half your talking about
I think Luxord is the MoM. MoM said he was going to Quadratum, so why not hide there for a few years, adopt a new identity, and then come back to the real world to check on his plan and monitor Luxu? It just makes sense.

I know this is an old video but the latin term of vanitas is vanity in the form of futility. A 'vain' or empty hope or effort. Try how you want but it will only ever be in *vain* it's also where the vanitas genre of painting comes from.
Master of master has always wanted to destroy the darkness. This maybe needed to seal the darkness away. I don’t think it’s for the act of creation. I think it’s more akin to the ending of kh1 where the darknesses and lights close the door as it were and create a separate world of darkness and light.
I know there 7 main dangers out of the 13 Darkness the master or MoM was trying to get rid of them I Think but this You gave me Ideas

I think in hindi mythology the left eye (red) means darkness and right (blue) means light. The bayonetta series did something similar

It is an interesting concept hi I am hearing all of your theories but this is really this is really interesting the interesting fact is I am all about him theories of the ways of our world and the ways of our fandom in our fiction mostly like in a fantasy but maybe the supernatural magic in the masterpiece of everything that’s been going on it is amazing very very amazing all the theories of the universe in through the Multiverse and within our universe comes up or one single point and infinity

What you said about the original Seven Princesses of Heart and their villains being tied to the Seven Deadly Sins was really interesting, and it got me thinking. A lot of people in the comment section have talked about how the Princesses represent the positive aspects of each sin whereas their villains embody the worst. Here's what I came up with:
1. Vanitas and quite possibly the Master of Masters represent the sin of pride, and Kairi represents the positive aspects of Pride. She's proud of her friends, and she's humble. She's someone whom you could never accuse of being arrogant.
2. Gaston and Luxu represent the sin of Lust, and Belle represents the positive aspects of Lust. Gaston lusted after Belle because he valued her physical beauty above all else. And let's be real here; he's even more vain than the dude who's name literally means "vanity," i.e. Vanitas. Belle on the other hand has a lust for adventure and a life outside of her quiet little town. She also embodies the pure counterpart to Lust, which is love. She loves the Beast for who he is, and to her, he's the most beautiful person inside and out.
3. The Queen of Hearts and Ira represent the sin of Wrath, and Alice represents the positive aspects of Wrath. While the Queen gets angry whenever no one listens to her and obeys her without question, Alice gets angry at her for using her authority to bully others. She gets angry for others sake.
4. The Evil Queen and Invi represent the sin of Envy, and Snow White represents the positive aspects of Envy, although this is a stretch. The Evil Queen tries to kill Snow White just because she's jealous of Snow White for being the fairest of them all. Snow White on the other hand is completely devoid of such pettiness. She doesn't see any reason to covet that which she does not have. She's thankful for what she has.
5. Lady Tremaine and Aced represent the sin of Sloth, and Cinderella represents the positive aspects of Sloth. Again, this is a bit of a stretch. Lady Tremaine tried to scheme her way into a life of luxury and prestige by trying to marry off one of her daughters to the Prince. She tried to take a shortcut to get what she wanted. The only things she ever put effort into doing were scheming and making Cinderella miserable, and in Birth by Sleep, she and her daughters paid the price for it (still can't believe that they did that). Cinderella on the other hand believes that her dreams will come true no matter what. As Terra said, you have to make an effort to make your dreams come true. But sometimes, having faith can be more than enough. And it's not like Cinderella didn't work for her happy ending, cause she did. She defies Lady Tremaine, provides proof that she's the one that the Prince is looking for, and she even pushed forward when Unversed tried to jump her in Birth by Sleep.
6. Jafar and Ava represent the sin of Greed, and Jasmine represents the positive aspects of Greed. Whereas Jafar wanted to be Sultan of Agrabah and harness the power of the lamp to make everything his, Jasmine just wanted to be free to make her own decisions, choose who she wants to love and be with, and see a whole new world.
7. Maleficent and Gula represent the sin of Gluttony, and Aurora represents the positive aspects of Gluttony. This might be the biggest stretch of all. Maleficent is hungry for power, and she's never satisfied with what she already has. Her appetite for destruction and carnage is also nearly unrivaled. Aurora on the other hand is similar to Snow White in that she doesn't really desire anything she doesn't already have. The only thing that Aurora was "hungry" for was a shot at happily ever after with Philip. I know that some people will say that Aurora is tied to Sloth because she's Sleeping Beauty, but that's only because of a curse.
In regards to the new Princesses of Heart, I would wager the following:
1. Anna and Elsa are tied to the sin of Greed along with Hans. Hans was willing to do anything to gain power, including manipulation and murder. Anna and Elsa on the other hand wanted more positive things. Anna wanted to be close to her sister again and Elsa wanted to be free of the fear and burdens brought on by her powers.
2. Rapunzel represents Pride along with Mother Gothel. Gothel is the only villain on this list who's even more vain than Gaston. Her appearance was everything to her. So much so that she would kidnap, manipulate, and murder to keep herself young. Oh yeah, and she also abandoned her blood daughter whom she saw as a nuisance. Rapunzel on the other hand took pride in being able to use the power of her hair to help others. It could also be said that she's also proud of the other things she can accomplish. She's also proud of her friends. Although, the argument could be made that she and Gothel fit more in line with Greed similarly to Jasmine and Jafar. Rapunzel did desire freedom above all else, and was willing to do whatever to get it, and Gothel is definitely as greedy as she is vain.
This is an awesome theory, but as a person who doesn't want to spoil themselves with KHUX/DR because they haven't beaten them yet, I can't fully enjoy the experience of this theory until I do, so I'll have to come back to this later.

How do the sins qualify for the characters connected to them. Vanitas feels more like wrath.
