I don’t touch on paper weight in this video about designing pages but I do mention it in my video about getting the planners printed. I’ll leave the link below!
My preferred paper weight is 32lb (also called 120gsm or 80lb) because I love luxe feeling sheets but 28lb (105gsm/70lb) is great for a planner as well (especially if there are a ton of pages).

where do you print your inserts for 6 pint ring binders? I can't find enywhere to print the planner that I designer for myself 🤦‍♀️

My home printer has adjustments for A5 size. So I can precut my paper and print directly from my normal printer. If you’re not comfortable precutting, you can print with crop marks on letter size paper then cut. I highly recommend getting a large paper cutter. Those usually have A5 guidelines as well making it so much easier to cut multiple sheets at once.

How do we create our own template? If I wanted to use quotes from movies, poets, celebrities, etc. how would I go about doing that, to avoid any legal consequences?

I’m unable to provide any legal advice but do a little research on “fair use” to learn more about what you can use without permission. I hope that helps!
As far as templates, any design you create in Canva can be a template. Once you have the design, click share at the top of the screen. There should be an option to share as a template.

What do you use to reorganize your pages? So that it flows when you print front and back if that makes sense

I used InDesign to create & edit my pages. There is a built in book layout that ensures the pages are formatted properly. For printing I print all pages - odd numbers then put the paper back in and print all pages - even numbers - reverse order.
