I'm glad that was YOUR experience. Ours wasn't as good. We had a really strong downpour with minimal wind and the two corners near the door leaked along the seam where the floor met the walls. There was also a mysterious few water droplets on an air mattress almost in the middle of the tent, but we were unable to find anywhere along the ceiling that was damp. We will be sealing its seams before we camp again.
Did you give it a waterproofing coating before doing this test? I usually give my tents a waterproofing on the outside and inside before first use. Just to maximize its properties against seepage and ensure a long life. I just bought this same tent and waiting for a couple dry days to waterproof it before taking it out for a trip. But i cant wait to get out in the wild with it and get down to fishing and hiking.
I didn't, but i used the tent since on rainy days, and it stood up very well with no leaks whatsoever. It also survived a very windy night without collapsing. So it's a good tent and i am happy with the purchase.

I hope you left it up overnight and into Sunday. That would be a real test. Hoping it passed with flying colours.

Is the ceiling mesh or does it zip close?
