A lot of people don’t remember, but the twin that rebelled is the one that reported the rape of the maid to Alicent. He’s Aegon’s sworn sword, so he literally ahas seen EVERYTHING he’s been doing.
Yup
So that’s not correct either on episode 8 ending. He was talking about Aegon the conqueror’s dream. The dream of ice and fire was that a Targaryen must be on the iron throne for when the white walkers return to unite the realm. It was not about a specific Aegon ruling, he was saying Rhae needs to be next in line to continue the line.
No thats in correct, he WAS talking abouT Aegon's dream but Aegon's dream was about a descendent named Aegon who will defeat the white walkers, thats why it shows that DnD fucked up game of thrones ending because G R R M has plotted for John Snow to be the true ruler of the iron throne and to unite the realms after defeating the white walkers. Because John Snow's real name is Aegon Targaryen
@@adicusdeathreaper nope
@@Tea-vf9gh nope what? its right what the fuck are you talking about.
@@adicusdeathreaper Jon Snow real name has not been revealed yet in the books. Also he already had a older brother named Aegon through Rhaegar and Elias marriage. Most likely his real name would be Aemon
@@mijanhoque1740 GRRM said jon snow's real name is Aegon Targaryen the 5th that is who Viserys was talking about just before he died. He was talking about the prince that was promised. GRRM already confirmed all this. and yes D&D messed up the whole thing in season 8.
however the good news is BECAUSE it was so messed up GRRM has gotten the go ahead to do a 3 season jon snow spin off where he returns to sit on the iron throne to line it up with the books and to fix the season 8 nonsense. will it ever get made? who knows but he did get the green light.
I also love how Alicent finally after years realized that she was just a chess piece used by her father to keep the status quo of the realm. Rhaenys called her out too, best bar of the episode.
Makes her look stupid. She should be as ambitious, conniving and evil as Cersei if not moreso.
@@leonrobinson2475 !!! especially since she seemed somewhat in control in episode 6, powerful and convinced of protecting her children and the realm. Making her a victim to the men in her life, instead of a complex somewhat more "evil" character, isnt the feminist take the writers think it is :/
@@leonrobinson2475 yeah, the book and lore made it seem like Alicent was the player but we see in the show that it's her father
Makes her more sympathetic
@@Zephur0s And that's stupid, especially when that choice is made because of some faux feminist campaign to not paint women in the show in a negative light.
Man, this episode got me heated. We knew what Otto was, but this man took no time to reveal as soon as the king died. On top of that, Rhaenyra not having a single spy in King's Landing is insane. That ending scene was fire, wish it would have ended differently. Next week's finale is going to be crazy
Yeah they're bugging for not having any spies. It's already been established the Hightowers are shady by this point
I’m sure Daemon does have people there. The thing is the Greens shut off all communication, locked up everyone who knew, and basically did all this in about 36 hours. Only person who was free enough to get word to them was Mysaria and she may not be cool with Daemon these days (which will likely change now they’ve tried to kill her).
@@Jellyroll2 Mysaria knew cause of Talya. She lighted some candles in the tower of the Queen.
Yeah I think it really is supposed to show that it doesn’t matter that Alicent misunderstood Viserys because Otto was going through with it either way. He’s spent 20 years working for this moment, he’s not stopping now.
Also keep an eye on the White Worm, remember that’s Daemon’s old lover/fling. She has a large spy network, it just took a big hit but she’s still around.
Maybe I was jus reading into it but there was a scene early on where the maid who told Alicent about the king was lighting some candles at a window. Reminded me of the scene in GOT with Sansa in Winterfell lighting a candle as a signal. Could’ve been a signal to someone, but rhaenys is flying to dragon stone now to tell em so probly not
The beast beneath the board... Helena predicted Rhaenys dragon entrance but she was brushed off. They should probably pay more attention to that girl.
She wasn’t referring to Rhaenys’ entrance.
@@kurtrivero368yes she was
@@i_violetexpress_i No she wasn’t. Read ‘Fire and Blood’.
Rhaenys was smiling during the walk because she saw they were going to the dragon pit where her dragon is.
And she didn’t kill them because kin slaying is like a super serious crime and moral failing to them. Not only is she against it personally the realm would look down on it even in a time of war
Should’ve done it before the ceremony was done the
@@chatter4427 that wouldn’t make a difference for kin slaying. They’re all her kin because they’re her cousins kids and wife.
@@ecm95 Ah kin slayer. I think that’s gonna be happening a lot regardless
Yeah. But killing a whole load of the populus is cool.
@@chatter4427 it does but she doesn’t start things off with that because that how their morals work. There’s a reason that the specific person who does the initial kin slaying does it and that’s because he doesn’t care about his family.
Wow! Ramin Djawadi was the all star of this episode with the music. So well done especially in the beginning moments of the show and with Aegon walking into the coronation. Great episode.
He is trained by Hans Zimmer... No wonder he is that talented!
The music stood out to me this episode as well, he’s truly one of the GOATs
@@Slippy6582 Hans Zimmer is a beast composer! Amazing composer! Seeing his works live is amazing as well.
Viserys was talking about Aegon the conqueror’s dream in episode 8, Alicent thought he was talking about their son Aegon.
Idk if she thought that, I interpreted it as her just twisting his words around
@@Shinesaur No, she obviously misinterpreted him because she doesn’t know Aegon’s prophecy.
I think Rhaenys' choice not to fry everyone came down to a few things, including respect for Alicent.... but the main reason was to not start a war which is Rhaeynera's choice to make.
There would be no war if she killed all the leaders
It's also kinslaying, the gravest of any sins in Westeros. Nobody wants to kill half their own family, regardless of politics.
Bro she literally declared war with murdering many people there
Right cause she's totally flying to Rhaeynera in hopes of making peace between the 2 parties lol. Get real. This was the dumbest scene of the season. Felt like it came from season 8 of original GoT.
@@eoghanclark165 I dont understand this point. Yes, kinslaying is frowned upon, but kinslaying will happen many times during the war. I mean if kinslaying is the problem why didn't she just kill Otto and the other non targaryens. The only logic depending on next episode is if she thought there was a chance for peace.
Never have i wanted to hear dracarys SOOO BADDD 😩
I know! Although that would end the series lol
I do like that the dragon yelled at them, that was cool 😎
Don't worry, u will hear dracarys in the next episode ( storms end )
"Are you not entertained." LOL exactly, heavy on the Gladiator vibes.
I honestly think the most beautiful scene this whole season and the one that knocked me sideways was Rheanyra's reaction to Laenor when he said he hated the gods for making him as he was. 'But i do not'... It was so powerful, no judging but love and understanding unlike how they both have been subjected all their lives to conventional morality, the poison of the ages.
Rhaenyra only killed one thing on the show when she killed the wild boar that attacked her when she and Cole were out in the woods before they saw the White Heart and she looked all badass covered in blood. The dragon came up from underground. Just like Heleana said, "Beware the Beast beneath the boards!"
Rhaenyra killed the boar in the most savage way -- so she can square up when she needs to
He wasn't talking about wanting Aegon king at the end of episode 8, in that conversation he thought he was talking to Rhaynera about a prophecy she asked him about the night before and in his dying moments he was trying to clarify the prophecy to Rhaynera. It is Alicent who is taking his dying words and is twisting them.
haha.. "They love me... they actually love me" That chick from Smokey and the Bandit said that didn't she? When she won an Oscar. (Not they but "You")
I was blown away by the details in the coronation. It felt like watching Nicholas II being crowned in an Orthodox ceremony with all the hollow pomp & circumstance of a rotting system. It's what I'd always envisioned from a GoT coronation. Tom Glynn-Carney was terrific in bringing out Aegon's fear, hesitation, pride & euphoria all at once. I'm glad they kept much despised Criston putting the Conqueror's crown on Aegon II's head. The Kingmaker is born! What this show does very well is these details, down to locking up servants. Usually these passionate debates, the sense of treachery, the heartbreak are glossed over & we only see the regime change as a "fait accompli". This brings to life the mechanism that historically goes behind a coup, which I assume is as emotionally taxing for the people seizing power. That's why I liked agonized & conflicted Alicent more than her steadfast source counterpart. It's more flesh & blood. She vacillates but her messianic fear for her children fates her to make a cursed gamble.
Jokes aside, Tfw u only support Green Lives Matter King for the extermination of Strong Boys cause ur pro Valeryian blood supremacy.
Hollow? Rottem?
Commie detected
"The Beast Beneath the Boards" made one hell of an entrance.
The King was speaking on Aegon the conqueror, not his daughter's son Aegon...
"The beast beneath the boards."-Helaena T.
i feel like the point of rhaenys not killing them is to show them how easily she could’ve u feel me
Who even confuses Meleys for Caraxes? Have y’all not seen what Caraxes looks like??? That neck???? And which dragon lets strangers ride it especially when it already has a bond as strong as the one Daemon & Caraxes have?? 🤦🏽♂️ smh

Ser Erryk is my new fav he knows the tea and knows Rhaenyra is the true queen periodt
Rob actually spoke some facts, blood hasn’t been spilled yet. And kinslaying is very series one Westeros (and RL for that matter) so she wasn’t about to slaughter members of her family before speaking to rhaenyra and getting a plan together
yeah plus this only like a day after Viserys died. Dont think Rheneys had it in her to kill 90% of Viserys family so soon after the fact seeing how she cared so much for Viserys
@@tylergraham6662 exactly !
but we know they're trying to kill rhaenyra anyway so she's just letting more blood be shed by letting the greens live and continue plotting against rhaenyra
@@Tupadre97
She took a great gamble just like Alicent.
Alicent being a victim of Otto’s plan is shocking, he was the mastermind after everything. Rhaenys not killing her was respecting her as a mother, but still leaving to show that they did it without telling Rhaenyra her own father is dead
Rhaenys deciding not to kiII Alicent had nothing to do with Alicent being a mother. Alicent may be the worst mother on the show. If anything, it had to do with Alicent being a woman, and how Rhaenys had just put the thought into Alicent's head that Alicent could exist for herself, and not to support all the ambitions of all the men she's surrounded by.
But really, it's Rhaenys' respect for the authority of Rhaenyra, as the new queen, to be the person to make a decision that would inevitably lead to war.
Wellz understood Rhenys’s assignment/ objective. And Rob sort of did too. As a female the last scene wasn’t about her killing anybody or striking a mortal blow, remember SHE would be what is considered the most sr.Royal out of EVERYBODY including Rheanyra& her kids and Alicent& her kids because she was the daughter of the king before Viserys… She has too much respect for the actual politics of it all AND that look between her and Alicent was basically a “ I could get you right now and sit the throne per your admittance that I should anyway, but I’m gonna sit back and let my lil cousins get you bitches instead.”
She killed like 300 people, what are you on???
@@VelesVoid if you don't possess the ability to comprehend and follow dialogue enough to figure out by "anybody" I meant someone integral to the plot, the question is what are YOU on, to be so anxious to be rude for no reason?
@@cocowalker1690 The fact remains that she did kill a lot of innocent bystanders, which has significant consequences regardless of their role in the plot. Ignoring the deaths of hundreds just because they aren't integral to the story undermines the gravity of her actions. Whether or not she respects politics, her decision led to massive casualties, which shouldn't be dismissed easily in the political sphere.
@@VelesVoid see, now you're making a mountain out of a mole hill because even if we're placing blame, it was the greens who held her captive and forced everyone to gather at the dragon pits so Alicent could jump the gun and crown Aegon when it never even made sense to HIM that all of a sudden he's king because it was Viserys' wish... But that not withstanding the only time the event is there after mentioned is by Daemon to blame her for not killing the greens when it was honestly a great opportunity to do so. This season the people of kings landing themselves were more pissed about the rat catchers all hanging to catch the 1 guilty guy and never once have they mentioned "remember that one time a dragon came from beneath the floor and killed hundreds at the kings crowning?" even when Mylees' head was being marched through the streets...
@@VelesVoid I guess I'm just confused with how something I commented a year ago and is honestly insignificant to the plot is suddenly so bothersome...when you look at where it is now and look at how it's come to this point that scene barely sticks out other than the fact that if she'd gone ahead and killed the right people with intent instead of warning them more people could've been spared including herself and her dragon in the long run ..I mean Idk what you want, my opinion is mine and I'm not changing it, it was insignificant as fuck to the plot even the poor folks ain't brought it up I said what I said🤷🏿♀️
I agree with Rob about the ending. I believe it’s just not her battle fr, like that’s a battle that’s destined for Rhaenyra to handle.
It’s wild, y’all didn’t see that coming tho 😂
Wow she literally said the same in ep10
Big ups to Wells for clarifying ending of Episode 8 to his homies. They would have been mad confused. Also, you guys can take time to check out what the story of a prince that was promised really is.
Alicent is one of those people that get others to do her dirt, while having a self righteous attitude. She has three sharp shooters on her side Larys, Ser Criston and Aemond and now Aegon is going to be feeling himself. She is guilty as sin.
11:05 Rob: “I ain’t dying over your politics” and I felt that ❤😂
People with good TVs see just fine.
Alicent is such an interesting character. She acts all pious and honorable but she literally raised her kids for this, whispering treason in the ears, telling them their own sister is a monster and her children are bastards feeding them hate. She also pretends like her father, Larys, and Criston's crimes never happened or are just accidents. She hangs on to what gibberish she heard from Viserys on his deathbed to justify her own treason even though nothing he said could ever apply to her son Aegon. She is only ever used by the men around her the whole time because she wants to uphold patriarchal systems that keep screwing her over and hates Rhaenyra for not adhering to the same beliefs.. Rhaenys really put it best: she works for a window in her prison.
Yes!
Larys isn’t her father
@@MrMgage13 "her father, larys, and criston" as in: her father and Larys and criston
I can’t help but be disturbed by the relationship between Alicent and Larys. Rhaenyra is flawed for sure, but Alicent has been pretty hypocritical too. She slut-shames the princess, yet allows Larys to jerk off to her feet 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sure these interactions have been going on for a long time now, even before Viserys had passed on.
@@TheMaYsSA2 Lol yea I don’t think he got that part, but these are all facts. It baffles me that the show only people can’t see that.

This show so far is looking awesome.
The Dance of the Dragons just getting started. 🐲😉💨💨💨💨💨
First of all, Daemon's dragon, Caraxes, looks NOTHING like that. Yes, he's red, but he also has a VERY long neck and is long and serpentine in appearance. In fact, he's the most distinguishable dragon in the series, as no other dragon looks remotely like him. Caraxes is known as "The Blood Wyrm"
Rhaenys' dragon is called Meleys, and she is known as "The Red Queen". She is one of the fastest dragons in Westeros, and her previous rider was Alyssa Targaryen, the mother of Viserys and Daemon. This is also the first time we've seen her.
We actually saw her before flying g to KL but not a closeup like this
No this is not the first time we have seen Meleys, we have seen her on ep 5 when the velaryons were coming to the wedding
Daemon tried to tell the king about otto, he was planning this for a long time😊
whats so bad about it ? THE KING NEEDED A WIFE AND A SON AND OTTO PROVIDE THAT TO HIM ? IT BENEFIT THE KING ? IT BEENEFIT OTTO AND IT BENEFIT ALICENT WHO GOT TO BE QUEEN ,,,the only one btt hurt is rhaenyra 🤣🤣
Daemon was right about everything he said in ep 1 in the throne room. Viserys was weak and he got took advantage of by these lords around him. He should have kept Daemon by his side if not as the heir, then as the hand.
@@toobusytocare7555 name me one quality Daemon as to help Viserys keep the kingdom in peace? And him knowing how to fight isn't one of them. Warriors aren't politicians. And the show as show us that Daemon would be the worst hand ever. He arrogant, egotistical, selfish and self-centered, impatient, impulsive, lustful and petty. He might love his brother, but his actions show that he also would rather do thing is way despite Viserys imput. So how can he be hand? Otto might be shady and bad, but he not a bad hand. He know how to get the job done and is mostly right about stuff. The only time he fuck up, was pushing Aegon as the king. He should have gone for Aemond. But the best hand for Viserys, was that strong guy. To bad his own son killed him.
@@jaimenazaryan860 You got it completely wrong. First off they are Hightowers, They shouldn’t be making anything decisions. Otto used his puppet of a daughter to move up and make these decisions. She is just a chest piece of a fool who has high aspirations. She also raised her kids the same way, she planted the same ideas in their heads that Otto planted in hers. She raised Those 2 monsters. One is a monster because of his ability in battle but Aegon the 2nd lil evil ass is about to show y’all what true evil looks like. She created that monster, He about to make Joffery look like a saint. All because her dumb ass thought the king wanted that lil menayon the throne. Guys, it wasn't about Rhaenyra's son Aegon III either, he was referring to 'Aegon I'... Aegon the Conquer! It was HIS prophecy and the real reason he conquered 'Westeros'. You watched GOT so you KNOW the 'Prince or Princess' that was promised was Dany & Jon. This is a PREQUEL, you can't DIVORCE what you learned in GOT from this series which is trying to tell us what happened to all the dragons and why the Targayen House declined... Dany & Jon are the 'descendants' of Rhaenrya & Daemon... 'It is known!'
Killing in war is one thing but killing family during in a time of peace (war has not been declared yet) is another thing entirely
A lot of people overlook the fact that rhaenys is not just gna torch her nephews they’re her family and her cousins children
Yet she will kill hundreds of random civilians
You have to look at it like this: Avatar the Last Airbender. Zuko could’ve killed the fire lord in his chamber, but he said it. “Defeating you is the avatar’s destiny.” Rhaenyra’s father died and his fate has been hidden from her. Her rightful claim to the thrown has been stolen. If anyone deserves to be the one to kill them, it’s her. Not Rhaenys. But what she DID show, was how easy it would be to kill them all. @@alysdaxei Yep, and Rhaenys is an honorable person, she wouldn't kill Vicerysy's kids like that...
Thank you! Most ppl don't understand this
@@1siddynickhead Probably because they look at them as the blacks vs the greens, not as the people with actual feelings and motivations lol
@@luminaratano3935 haha! I totally agree! They are characters, not cardboard cutouts 😂 but ppl don't seem to get that.
TEAM BLACK BABY RHAENYS said DONT F**K with me or my dragon , such a great statement
I guess "the beast beneath the boards" was either Aegon II being found under those boards or it was Princess Rhaenys when she came down on the dragon pit on her dragon Meleys. I think she didn't roast their asses right there because she'd be forever disgraced as a kin slayer and that wouldn't exactly win people to Rhaenyra's side either.
She didn’t come down, she came up from the floor
Yeah I thought it was Aegon at first. But it could be both.
I took it to mean that Helaena was warning about her husband's/brother's kingship, that he will be a tyrant, a precursor to Joffrey as it were.
"Run yo shoes, run yo socks"🤣🤣💀
The song of ice and fire’s Aegon isn’t Raenyrah’s son.
It’s about Jon snow.
The price that was promised who unites the entire realm.
it's not actually about Jon snow. In the books there is another aegon that was introduced in book 5
Starks departed from the Kingdom and King's landing did not send any men.
TH-camrs: place massive lights in their face
Also TH-camrs: God I can't see the obviously dark scene
No she should'nt have done it xD there would be no more plot if she did xD Besides thats Rhaenyra's throne being taken by Aegon, not Rhaenys's place to start the war on her behalf, she was just making clear on which side she stands
If they would’ve killed everyone at the end that would’ve been the end of the show 😂
I don't take credit for this nickname but I saw a comment that said: Alicent "only feet" Hightower and it fucking SENT me.🤣
Rhaenys: Men would sooner put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne
Also Rhaenys: *massacres hundreds of civilians for a forced girlboss moment*
When team black pulls up, team black pulls up 🖤🐲
The reason Viserys whispered Aegon to Alicent was because he was talking about Aegon the I’s prophecy dream of the Others in the North. He thought he was talking to Rhaenyra and that’s why he said “don’t you remember?” because when he was naming Rhaenyra his heir he also told her about Aegon the I’s prophetic dream. Alicent obviously misunderstood and thought he was talking about their son Aegon since she doesn’t know about the Prince that was Promised prophecy, Viserys said “you must do this” and Alicent took it as you must make our son the king, when really Viserys was telling Rhaenyra that she must succeed him as you are the prince that is promised that would unite the realm against the Others. So the Dance begins purely on a misunderstanding.
How did Rhaenys survive the dragon bursting through the floor while on dragon back?
I thought that too, I know she had her armor on, but still don't think it would be that much protection. Maybe the dragon just used its tail to bust through so the fallout didn't land near the front of the dragon and it's back area where Rheanys is, but it's a show can't nic pik everything!
@@julesb1970 She came in wearing literal plot armor 😂
It's kinda funny how ppl felt sorry for ser Criston once cause he's cute and has puppy eyes and looks so innocent.. but now, they're finally starting to see his true colors and they're realizing who he really is. He talks a lot about honor but he is not an honorable knight he's completely opposite. In the books, he's a piece of s*hit, no knight.
I didn't like him since ep1 when he attacked Daemon from the back. He rubbed me the wrong way, because it brought me some mountain flashbacks
It wasn’t because he was cute or some shit, he just was completely different in the beginning compared to now. In the beginning he seemed to be a nice honorable man and then he turned into the “nice guy” that he is.
@@TheSofkujepanenup I really thought Cole really cared about his honor at first and felt bad for him when he heard what Rhaenyra had to offer. But then my respect and sympathy for him went away when he not only told on Rhaenyra, but killed Laenor's secret boyfriend in cold blood. Then it was clear to me that it was not about his honor at all, but his pride that he cares about. He's actively trying to hurt Rhaenyra and he's willing to stoop very low for it
People from flea bottom and the street of silk during the coronation when Otto announces Aegon as king : HEY WAIT A MINUTE I KNOW THAT GUY !!! 🤣🤣🤣
If she woulda done it she woulda been branded a king slayer. Look how that affected Jamie in GOT. Imagine be a woman and a king slayer. She made the right call
No guys, the Aegon Viserys was on about was Aegon the conqueror not Rhaenyras or allicents son. It was about his prohecy of the prince who was promised which is Aegon the 6th/Jon Snow who does united the realm to defeat the dead.
It's funny how everybody is like "oh, Rhaenys could end the war right there". Well, actually, she would have start it. It's just because we all know what is gonna on after the coronation of Aegon II but, at this point of the story, nobody can imagine the war will last for years and destroy all the Targaryen house and all the dragons.
Definitely! Also- if she had torched the few greens in front of her (there's... so many more not here in King's Landing) - she’d for sure make enemies of their houses (hightower, high garden) & there’d be war. Not burning them was strategic.
@@viviandarkbloom1447 jeah no... if alicents children die team green immediately loses all their important dragons. without vhagar and so on team green stands no chance

yall saying daemond and rhaenyra when rhaenys literally went down to get a dragon😂
The “Aegon” that Viserys was referring to was Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen
Omg, I just realized that... bruh, I swear George RR Martin is an insane writer fr fr
the white worm new the king was dead because of the candles in the window lighted by the head maiden. then Larys kill the white worm and the head maiden.
Knowing what's coming next week all I have to say is Twitter is not ready with how big of a mistake it was that Rhaenys showed mercy this episode 💯😆
Same
I still see the little kids from episode 6& 7 in my head and it’s hurting
For Rhaenys' eyes, Alicent is a mother just like her. Rhaenys saw Leonor burn before her eyes (tho this is not really the truth), she doesn't wanna see Alicent's children burn. I think killing the innocent hundreds of people doesn't matter for Rhaenys because these are the same people that thinks Rhaenyra shoudn't be queen. That is why she smiled when she saw people lining up the venue. LOL
Meets Meleys the red queen and the fastest dragon in westeros!
It came out of the ground, they referenced the beast from underneath in the episode.
Rhaenys hasn't read Fire & Blood to know of horrors to come. So her pre-emptively nuking half her own family would've been OP. Having said that, the Rhaenys bit was to give audience a 'send home happy' moment which wasn't necessary. The coronation was fantastic in itself. But gawd forbid the ''bad guys' are on top in one episode. Those who thought lowborns of KL have any obligation to support Rhaenyra are in for big disappointments. Aegon claims his birthright from popular King Jaehaerys' Great Council stating king's firstborn male son is next king. Viserys himself won it over Rhaenys like that. Best part of this was the politics, less dragons the better. Despairing mom version of alicent does highlight her humanity more than the colder iteration of the actual green council. A well needed adjustment imo but also a continuation of her Harrenhall or knife scene mistake. They've constantly shown subtleties in her character which audience wilfully ignores since we're watching this as a team sport and gotta cheer team lovable manipulative dad. Her being more humanized shouldn't be an issue unless one wants the show to remain grotesquely tilted towards Black (Laenor death,Rhae-Vaemond)
It would actually not be a 'match' think about it... Daemon has one; Rhaenyra has one; One of Daemon's daughters and both of Rhaenyra's sons have dragons; Rhaenys (as we've seen) has one. And if Leanor comes back to assist them then that's one more (Seasmoke). They (the Greens) have three riders and one is Helena who is NOT FIT for any type of battle. The advantage the Greens have is they have the only dragon who has seen combat and she is the biggest but that is easily countered by the fact that Aemond, her rider, doesn't have the WAR experience that his Uncle Daemon has.
If your a 'book reader' you know that the Blacks pull in 'bastards' and anyone with Targaryen or Velayon blood who is capable of riding the unclaimed dragons at both Dragonstone or the Dragon pit in King's Landing. And this plays out over a couple of years and the kids are much OLDER in the books then they are in the show right now.
Otto Hightower: The Hand of the King.
Alicent Hightower: The Food of the Queen. XD
Did you guys see when Viserys was at the dinner in episode 8 that the rotted half of his face was on Alicent's side with her father Otto and their children together and his missing arm was on Rhaenyra and Daemons side, showing that the greens are the rotten side of house Targaryen and the missing arm could be symbolic for Daemon not being made his Hand.
Rhaenys' dragon might be my favorite dragon. It's looks freaking cool as hell!! That was definitely a threat. They did this coronation without dragon stone even knowing about Visery's death and she just let them know where she stands. With Rhaeynera. Honestly I think Rhaenys just wants peace and not be fully in the war. The fight with Alicent and Otto isn't really hers. It's up to Rhaeynera and Co
Rhaenys' dragon is Meleys, called "The Red Queen". Meleys is one of the swiftest of the dragons.
I enjoyed how Otto isn’t faking it and taking his time! He knew the assignment and acted accordingly!!! Respect
And he's right. F*ck the king's wish of wanting a woman on the throne, which was declared on a whim and or desperation.
It should be his son(s) or his brother in case there were no sons.
It's the rules, even the king's power has limits.
@@luiscfdsilva that was the problem in the first place, the difference between women and men

Rhaenys didn't kill the greens because it's not a full blown war. There is still a chance for terms and power moves that can hopefully stop the escalations. She doesn't want to become not only a kin slayer but one who snuffed out a whole family, people like Helena and even Alicent didn't deserve to be killed in cold blood. Also in her mind she did am act without bloodshed because she like most highborn could give a rats ass about the small folk, it's just Daemond that did.
Great point.
Such lame excuse.
1) She already allied with Rhaenyra by marrying her granddaughters
2) She sees the coronation of Aegon and it means Greens are taking power
3) She knows Rhaenyra and Daemon's personality, they will fight
4) So logically, she is already on black side and this is a chance to cripple the Greens, if not totally wipe them out. Which will vastly improve the chance for quick or no war
5) She already thinks Daemon and Rhaenyra murdered her son, but just no evidence. So kinslayer is no big deal
6) This is GOT world and it mirrors the middle-ages. Entire households are deleted during disputed succession. People in power kill in cold blood or else you die
@@ruleoftwo6174 as you can already see, those that are plotting are already fine with murder. However not everyone is on board. In the book both sides are very much averse to spilling first blood as once again, being a kinslayer is a horrible title to forever live with.
As for the action of Rhaenys, I'm just giving you the explication. Personally it was bad writing and something thag didn't happen in the book.
@@GLitiatc0 That's why this is the worst episode so far. Both Alicent/Rhae and girl boss Rhae scenes were not in the books. The showrunners injected these for woke points, rather than serving the story
@@ruleoftwo6174 I actually enjoy the Alicent scenes, it works well to slowly show her morals chip away until she is fully on board against Rhaenyra. But I agree the Slay Queen Rhaenys was poorly executed.
I feel like you guys are in a new set for recording every other week lol
They said the reason Rhaenys did not burn them all down is because she too is a mother, and she could not see herself killing another mother and her kids.

Aego n didn’thide behind his mother. She was expected to do that as a mother and in the faith of the 7 . It is in her faith to die like that. It fits her character.
Being a kinslayer is one of the worse things you can do. Also being a king-slayer would follow her line forever.
Viscerys was referring to Aegon the Conquerer and his dream, not Aegon 2 (Alicent's son) or Aegon 3 (Rhaenyra's son). He was finishing the conversation he was having with Rhaenyra from the night before
