I’m a total bibliophile I will never get tired of these book recommendations. It would be so neat if you did a “read with me” type of video where you just read with your precious kitties in calm quiet for like 30 mins. Be careful with reading anything that's copyright protected. You can only read so much of a book before it's considered stealing content. You can do book reviews and you're usually okay. I think anything printed in the 1970s o today is going to be copyright protected. Please double check. Would hate for you to get a copyright strike.

You have a very wonderful "asmr" voice! I love the slow soft spoken approach, your tone, and all the little pronunciation sounds. It's so relaxing and generates lots of tingles. I was interested in your books on Russia and the Baltic states. I've recently made an online connection with a Siberian woman who had to flee her country when the war started. Her ordeal to secure passage out of Russia was gripping. She is semi-settled now in Serbia, and continues to post on her TH-cam and Patreon channels. She provides such a valuable point of view.

There's a whole museum in Lebanon in his name.
His books and poems about the woman that he loved are amazing and very touching as he never married although she loved him for 12 years

Thank you for this Part 2!! It was so relaxing! I also relate to not wanting to part with my own books. This year, I made a conscious decision to start borrowing from my local public library again. I have always loved visiting the library (and of course the book store) for the sights, quiet sounds and the scents.
I love that idea and I need to do that, too. But at least many of the books I buy are used. There’s some consolation! 🤣

As an Estonian and an avid Jeannie admirer, I too, was gobsmacked!! She truly is worldly and other worldly. Not many people travel to our region. Even fewer people take it upon themselves to read up on local history! Wonderful book recommendations 💕
My husband and I received The 5 Love Languages as a wedding gift, and we have revisited it a few times in the 12 years we've been together. Gary Chapman has a handful of other books similar to it that we have read, too. Highly recommend!

Good. Googly. Moogly. I was so utterly unprepared for that *breathtaking* passage from The Prophet. That ought to have come with a warning label 😭 but boy, is it spot on. We so often want to focus solely on how love benefits us, but I believe the highest expression of love is sacrifice. I've found that most I speak with are afraid of or unwilling to experience that pruning he spoke of - and I'm not exactly eager to embrace it either, at least not all the time - but I've found more intimacy in the wilderness, in times of wanting and waning, than I have in seasons of peace. There is an...appreciation, I think, for one another that can only be found when both members of a relationship see the scars from their sacrifice reflected in the other. It's proof you're willing to put someone else above yourself.
And love languages are SO crucial in any relationship, romantic or platonic! I've found that, more than anything, they help me have mercy on others. We can easily use the languages to enforce how other people ought to love us, but when I'm willing to be humble (a rare occasion, I do admit), I'm able to step back and see how someone has already been loving me - even if not how I typically prefer. That helps abate any anger I felt towards them when I find that we just need to redirect their efforts instead of generating any sense of affection whatsoever...and it keeps me in perspective when I realize others have to do the same for me and my misguided means of adoration, you know?
You always have such a deep and profound grasp of things, dear Jacob! The pruning and threshing do hurt. And we instinctively try to avoid such pains. But in the end, they mould us into better and softer human beings. 🥰

I have always loved old school readers from the 20s 30s 40s and '50s. If you are ever in an antique store, please grab a few of those old readers and page the through them for us. I think that would be really relaxing. The old drawings of the simpler times. Thank you Jeannie

Jeannie! I looked up your day in my Birthday Book. You’re born on the Day of the Explorer. Your Aquarian spirit is the most beautiful because it radiates from your soul to EVERY aspect of your life. Kristin Hannah ALSO wrote another book that my sister (whose born within the Capricorn-Aquarius cusp) suggested to me the ONLY book she voluntarily read, and it brought me to tears. Speaking of directing your thoughts, honing your thoughts, controlling them. Have you ever read the book "As a Man Thinkith" by James Allen. He describes the mind like a garden that must be weeded in one part. It's a small book. And easy read. I read it many moons ago. One of my all time favorite books. I still re-read it from time to time.

I don't know if this would be up your ally or not, but there's a new author named Megan Victoria. She just came out with her first book this past July called "VOICELESS". It's a mystery/thriller and I thought it was really good. I hope she goes places.

I’ll bet you’re right! I get chills just thinking about that scene. There was no reason for him to add that to the book unless it was true. The book was outstanding and to make it weird and dramatic was not something he needed to do just for the sake of more drama. He told his entire story so beautifully. Why add that unless it was true? Don’t you agree? 🦧
