Belleville, Illinois Single Stream Recycling Operations July 2023

In this video, you can see what happens to Belleville's Single Stream Recycling after it is collected at the curb. Trucks haul the material to the Department of Sanitation's Headquarters at 2115 Freeburg Ave. Belleville, IL 62220
There, the trucks dump the mixed single stream recycling material onto the pavement. From there, it is pushed aboard a Republic Services Semi-Trailer where it accumulates until full.
Once the Trailer has reached it's capacity, a truck hauls it to Republic Services Single Stream Sorting facility which is located at 4076 Bayless Ave. St. Louis, MO 63125
