Are you coming to kishtwar
Wear merino wool shirts. Won't smell when sweaty and needs far fewer washes than cotton. Decathlon is the only shop that sells merino wool shirts in India.
60% of brake lights dont work
Find a local friend to ride with.
Karl, I've been following his channel for a long time, I'm an 80-year-old man and for me it's beautiful to watch his videos, even the previous ones Regards from Buenos Aires City Argentina,
Phahahahaha, sure...
Cheers Argentina..
pro tips, the cheapest gift of youtube membershiping gifts is from Argentina.. pennies per gift
I blv u r enjoying the virtual tour ❤😂
Bruh how can u type this good when ur 80 😂😂😂
@@Therockstar_09 we both might not survive so long but we should respect our elders
Karl's Hindi is now much more polished. lovely brother. stay happy.
Thank you for this video. I thought you might be interested in how your videos affect this viewer. My mother was buried in Ludhiana at the cemetery next to the Christian Hospital back in October, 1955. We went to school at Woodstock up in the mountains. I remember the heat & dirt of "the plains" (Dhamtari) and the beauty of the mountains. Every video you show of life in India brings back memories for me.
6 hours is my limit on a long ride. I have a Triumph Bonneville 1972 classic rebuilt love it for sure
The jacket You are wearing is nirvik (or a winter jacket) which makes it difficult to ride in hot weather.
One should get a full mesh jacket with level 2 armours, and they also cost less. They will be 100 times better. You can always add layers later on to protect yourself from the cold.
Rynox and solace are some of the brands one can try. Also made in india.
2. Never tell strangers that you are travelling alone, even if you are.
Enjoy the ride ❤
I love you Karl. Just finished a 15 month 25,000km ride all over India & Nepal.
Sound advice
Thank you! What a ride that must have been!
Thanks for taking us on the ride!
the fact that you support Indian manufacturers, when u have access to purchase international brands, speaks volume.... your an Indian brother🤩. I own Clan riding sneakers, they r perfect and they have your size 13. They are really good Indian product. take a look at it brother.
The clan boots don't have any safety, better for him to get boots with a EN rating.
@@vnkt_ytthey do have some safety
@@anchitlalwani1 Only CE certification, they're not safe in terms of riding boots. They're safer than sneakers that's all.
@@vnkt_yt That's true, I have had a small accident wearing riding sneakers. Luckily it was only some long lasting bruises and a light abrasions, but with real boots there wouldn't have been any damage there. People tend to underestimate the crushing force of even light bikes.
Since then I'm always wearing proper boots.
@@vnkt_yt i dont understand, all u guys gonna allow a bulldozer to roll over your feet...! riding without gears that is ignorant, being said that, good quality gears coupled with like minded co riders anyone can experience the joy of safe touring. N trust me brother, if one rides like a chapri, there is no gears in this universe to protect you. personal experience clan boot r way better u think.
Pilgrimage on a bike. Very cool. Stay safe. Jai maa. ❤
1. Get a cooling vest
2. Start riding a little past midnight, when the traffic is less and so is the heat.
3. Get auxiliary lights for the motorcycle for night riding on the highways. Fix them to your forks, so that they turn with the front wheel and light up the direction you're about to go. Cover them when in the urban areas to avoid getting a fine from cops.
4. Get a bike with tubeless tires, even if it is not an adventure bike.
Karl's respect towards Indian culture is incredible!!
His wife is indian ❤
respecting other people's culture is a sign of maturity
That toilet looked good to me, compared to what I have seen on my travels. What I like most about this video is nobody is bothering you. Good bike riding advice.
Less hassling in punjab
Yeah, it’s really chill outside of the major tourist cities. Just normal life. You’ll see that in the upcoming motorcycle series - just finished editing the first two episodes.
@@KarlRockkindly release the next episode it's been almost two weeks
@@sunilmenon6344 yes ji. Tomorrow 🙏
Been looking forward to this
PS in 78 I took my bullet to newzealand and rode upto mount cook from Littleton. I also rode around rotorua and tried fishing for trout. It’s the land of the long white cloud.
Finally a long indian video
Lots more long videos coming. Thank you
You have an incredible microphone as it sounded like you commented from a studio with just the background noise added. Very cool to have you narrate your journey. Can't wait too see more of your adventures. India's favorite brothere via new Zealand. Thank you for sharing your reality with us, Karl.
Thanks for spreading the joy of riding motorcycle Karl
Nice one. Can't wait for the motorccle vlogs you've mentioned. Cheers broski. Rock on.
Enjoyed your complete video
Looking for more ❤❤
Love your videos Karl, always a great watch!
so cool that he rides bikes, needed a mentor and a good explainer.
They serviced that bike up good Karl. Was very impressed with them using 1/2 liter of water to clean, in negating wastage.
Great video Karl. I appreciate all the tips.
You're strong and daring guy! Me as an Indian wouldn't feel comfortable riding bike solo as you do, definitely you got some guts n confidence...kudos to you!
We need a travelling series, Karl! This is so good! ❤
Karl ! I'm loving this trip ! Waiting for more of it. Be Safe. Pamela
i love these long-form videos hopefully more to come
wonderful video karl, well done. nice to see you on the bike again
This was so interesting ! Loved the live commentary and tips along the way. Very cool ! Would love to see more bike trips through India
Thanks mate. There’s an entire motorcycle series starting next week. Enjoy 🙏
Brings back old memories when me and my friends from college used to long ride convoy to Goa . What an experience.
It's always nice to see how different places on our amazing planet are, and their culture, lifestyle and nature. Great video. Thanks.😁
I used to ride in the 80’s in India including Kashmir and Ladakh. For summers I always put on a light windcheater to prevent dehydration. This was not so necessary in humid climates but very necessary in the dry heat of the north. We did not have riding gear then. Except helmet (full face) and gloves I got from abroad. I also had a sailing suit which was the best rain gear as Velcro closed all areas where water could get in. At speeds above 80 water would not stay on the visor and I had a clear view. I adjusted my windscreen to blow the air direct at visor.
Great video, great mic! Safe travels.
Thanks for the ride Karl.
you are amazing Karl. Planning a trip to India to see my family in the next 2 years and this looks like an amazing thing to do! I feel that riding in Australia is much more dangerous than India because there everyone is looking out for bikes and such but here, people only rely on rules and don't normally expect a bike. This is an amazing guide. Thankyou boss!
Great vid! Thanks for showing us your trip.
Very enjoyable and informative, reminded me of your moto rides years ago. Looking forward to seeing more moto rides.
❤❤❤ Wow waiting next vlogs ❤
An option to avoid the hot Delhi weather this time of the year and also avoid the heavy traffic/highways and pollution around Delhi is to either 1: If flying in from abroad then you can fly from Delhi airport to Dehradun and rent a bike there or in Rishikesh nearby. From there ride further north to Shimla, Manali or other cooler higher elevation areas north of Rishikesh Option 2: Take a bus from Delhi to Manali and rent a bike there. Manali probably have one of the best selections of bikes in India with very competitive rental rates compared to other regions of India. You will encounter lots of traffic if you ride out of Delhi....as per my personal experience best to be avoided for people flying in from abroad.
Looks amazing brother ❤❤❤ 🤩
Such a well made comprehensive vlog, glad to see the good ol' Himalayan kickin again! Looking forward to the Jammu ones!
Thanks Bro!
I love your position of mounting action camera, its cool. Best of luck
🆒😎🤘! Cool ride Carl!
Stay Safe Karl, keep riding !
Would love if you made more videos about India and make a playlist about, foreigners guide to life in India. ❤
More Power To You Karl❤🎉
Karl, make sure your action/helmet camera is showing your bike console. It gives good pov to your viewers.
Riding a classic RE 350 reborn in Bengaluru, and you are spot on, the riders have no malice though they are not aware of many riding best practices - annoying for couple of days but then soon you get a hang of it. My tips are ride slow, even if the road is empty, ignore imperfection, keep moving and respect police, you can never be too cautious , wear proper riding gear. If not sure, try and find out about weekend riding clubs and you can get good tips from them as well. One particular tip is I wear quick drying (Sports type) fabric under the riding gear to aid the evaporation and to keep me cool.
5:10" the fearless traveller " also keep this stuff for dehydration problem.
Wohoooo. Finally!!!!
Dude I loved this video
Try the route from Pune to Goa via amboli ghat, Pune To Andharban ghat, Pune to Shivthargal ghat , Pune to Malsej Ghat, Pune to Panchgani , kaspet during monsoon, from your fellow biker.
Bro you hit the nail on the head..,. Bang on !!
Everytime I'm checking out a foreigner travelling through India
A majority of my interest is in the different gear he employs and how he manages the different basic needs
Glad to see you've upped the notch on your content
Thanks, PewDiePie!
out of all your videos this was the scariest , the POV of the highway was definitely nerve wreaking.
I love the videos that show the food in India most of all
You may also use a cooling vest for summer rides. These vests are light, easy to use and not very expensive... a good cooling vest may cost something around Rs.3,500/-
Have a safe journey brother..👍
It looks mighty chaotic on the road lol, I love it
amazing videos and tips for everyone!
Love from Ludhiana ❤
amazing video i want more!
Karl come down south to Mumbai and ride with me!
Happy Holi in advance karl bhaiya🎉
Hi Karl, can get a photographer/adventure type nylon half jacket/ vest or get one tailored out of denim with additional inner pockets made to slip in your back and chest guards . You can wear separate elbow+arm guards and knee+shin guards. This way you can wear regular lighter tshirts n pants...with detachable protective gear{easily available) - keeps you much cooler and feeling free...can always put on over or under -a thick shirt , warm hoodie, full jacket , rain poncho etc when needed ....also hip and bum scrape guards in your pockets from old tyres or mobile phone cases , cricket ball guards and football shin guards are cheap jugaad xtra protection ..
Yes Summer have come......take care
I really wish i could afford a bike so that i can also travel.
Thankyou for inspiring me Sir.
Best guide to motorcycling in India on the internet! The attention to detail is just too good 💯
great video
Day 1 &2 of the ride feel easy
I took a rest stop here at Haveli in Haryana on my way to Leh Ladakh via Shimla.
Hey I’ve been watching you for a while and just bought a Himalayan!!! Hello from Maharishi Vedic City!!
Nice journey ❤
I would love to see you explore Punjab more, Karl! There are so many great places to visit in Punjab in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Anandpur Sahib etc 😁
Bro I just saw u in the scammer pay back time videos too
…. I love watching all yr videos n very aware ❤❤❤❤ big fan of you Karl love from (MANIPUR) north east India … the land of jewels
Really encourage you to watch Savanah Marie's video about pierogi from scammer payback that reveals how he took advantage of an female employee in another country, pressured her into an online sexual relationship behind his wife's back while touting his christian beliefs. Shocked it didn't get more attention. The girl was translating Hindi for scammer payback and was taken advantage of. @karlrock

Bought my first new bike a couple moths ago won't be riding in India but its nice to see how it is to ride there. - From Canada
That is not all of India though. There are much better roads. So don't let this fool you.
good experience liked the motorcycle travel
Hi karl my son is also a motorcycle travel vlogger. Your video reminds me of my son ritesh Bishnoi ' trip. His motorcycle travel vlog channel name is "The fearless traveller". He is a university student and now exam is near so he has less time to travel. Recently he started "Rajasthan motorcycle tour" in the first phase of the trip he covered the majestic sun city of India Jaisalmer. And documented some of the best vlogs
Nice ride, good info. That rock music sounded like acdc? Shazam tells me me something different 😅
India is a very huge and diverse country in the world 🌏
28 state + 8 union territory = India (36) 🇮🇳
And many more indian island like Andaman Nikobar, Lakhyadeep etc..🙏🙏
Well I arrived home 3 days ago and was happy enough that the adventure is over, until I watched this video. Yaneth is not too happy with you, lol
A folding (recumbent) bike with electric support is good for folk who are definitely not, that is not into doing the main roads by putting the bike on bus in luggage and you on set, and then use the bike around villages or anywhere the bus will drop you off which I did for over 6 month stint 2017-2018.
Man, basically every driver is riding over those lane lines. One of my pet peeves.
😎😎👍🏻 Karl what do you think about the reliability of the newer Royal infield bikes. can you compare them to other bikes in North America?
Hey Karl, thanks for video. Other likely locations for tire-wallahs. Outskirts of towns; Sometimes, near bus stops, or at toll booths
I believe Karl is a tour guide for foreigners...lol (Step by Step guider :)).
~Namaste~
Welcome in Basohli Bani 🙏
Hey Karl, I've been following your channel since before the pandemic. I have a suggestion and request. Please collab with Noraly aka Itchy Boots if possible. We would live to see you both on your Himalayans traversing through the North East. She's completed Ladakh, Kashmir Himachal and Rajasthan. So please North East starting from Kolkata to either Zemithang or Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh or till Mizoram (a state where they don't honk and follow traffic rules)
Hey karl, When you made a right at 27:25 you were right next to my house. Hope you like my city. Love from California
Karl in moto vloggig keep your camera little bit lower so bike speedometer and all also cover then it will feel like we are also riding with you
Love from India uttar pradesh 🥰❤️
