    Ingredients:
    1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1 large egg and 1 egg yolk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    Instructions:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
    Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
    In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
    Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the cookie dough.
    Refrigerate to cool
    Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
    Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
    Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
