When Koenigsegg designed the engine for the Jesko they were looking at many different turbo options. They wanted the double turbos to spool up really, really fast, so they were thinking about bolting on two smaller turbos among many other solutions. But they also wanted the massive boost at the top end that only BIG (but slower spooling) turbos could give them. So the answer they came up with was to mount a high pressure 20 litre carbon fiber air tank and a small air pump to feed it. So now when you press the gas pedal at low rpm:s there's a shot of high pressure air (20 bar/290 PSI) going in to the big turbos from that tank helping them to spool up super quick. This feature combined with a very light flat plane crankshaft (5 kilos/10 lbs) makes the 1280hp (1625hp on E85 fuel) V8 engine rev up to it's redline at 8500rpm REALLY quickly... (And the sound that it makes with the pedal to the metal is simply GLORIOUS!!) This engine combined with their "light speed" transmission (it has multiple clutches that let you jump from any gear to any other gear instantly...) makes the Jesko Absolut capable of doing 0-60 in under 2,5 seconds and gives it a top speed of 330mph/533kph...
I would also add that the blow off releases the pressure in the intake tube when you get off the gas and the throttle body closes. This stops the boost pressure from getting pushed back to the turbo and damaging it.

When you were describing the turbo process I saw what looks like a missing bolt on the passenger side top mount of the intercooler. I’m not sure if it was bolted later or maybe it’s also an exhaust mount point so it was bolted up after your description but just wanted to mention it in case it was missed and becomes the neeeeext thing to break on the Atom.

VGT is great when it works/new on a truck, once it gets a good bit of mileage it can be one massive headache between the turbo and the actuator and electronics.
Nice video, really enjoy seeing the Atom. Have you thought about putting a K&N pre-filter or Outerwear on the conical K&N filter? I use them on my Corvette, Mustang and ATV's and have never seen a loss of performance with them, but they do keep the air filter cleaner and keep water out of it.
Of all the failures a car like that can have that is a minor iratant. I see you still have it so I guess the rumor you had a buyer was just to mess with us a few videos back. I think it's just too much fun not to keep around a long time and it takes up so little space...

Almost forgot. Had a tri-pot pull apart once. It went back together like you expected this one to do but only 2 out of the 3 bearings where still on the shaft. Not good. Ended up replacing it with a reman with all bearings, fresh grease, and new boots. If nothing is broken in your suspension that would cause the pot to pull out then you probably broke a bearing in the pot itself.
I like the R32 better wingless, sad that you're selling it though. I get it, now that you have a R35 you don't need it, but they just look so happy together.
Really seems like you ought to wear a helmet/HANS device when you drive that thing - even in the context of it being an insane 550 hp death trap and all.

You missed an opportunity to attach a heat shield to the unused oil feed line bolt holes, and some fire proof shielding over the turbo water coolant lines. You do you though.
