As usual, it’s a pleasure to listen to such a knowledgeable man as your Dad, not yo mention his beautiful clear accent.
It’s very sad to hear all the difficulties that have been afflicting the UK lately due to unwise decisions taken by some foolish, if I may say so, politicians. It’s very thoughtful of you to mention other countries in general that may be going through hard times as well. Mine, for instance, is a complete mess. So much so that I wouldn’t know where I should start from. Anyway, let’s try and think positive, hard as it may be in view of the current worldwide situation. Once again, thank you and your Dad for taking the time to record these episodes which, in my opinion, are the icing on the cake. 🙌

It was so relaxing to listen to your podcase on the politics with your dad, which I never missed on, LoL.
I would fully appreciate your English learning videos and podcast which geared me up of the language level from almost ZERO to four-eight in my latest IELTS test in 2 years. Well, I spent almost 8-hour a day in English learning for about 1 year after landed in Australia.
The fantastic part of your English channel is that you brought us so many topics which help ESL people to have a normal conversation with either examiners and normal friends. Hope all the English learners would get support from your channel.
Let's back to the politics, even I knew how crazy Ms Thatcher-Cosplay is, but I never know that the whole conservative party would be so many bunch of d*ckheads in. In our side, the dictator ScottMo was replaced from the bus who presented the same level of stupidity as PM BJ and PM LT.
Hopefully, there will be more professional inspectors as Mr Rick to monitor these politicians and inspire normal people to join the topic to find the proper way to chew up those mad-bastard.

Unfortunately most of our countries are filled with those mad bastards. We hope someday they disappear forever.
J.M. Keynes docet (i.e. teaches): "The boom, not the slump, is the right time for austerity at the Treasury"......and, in my humble view, financing the real economy instead of always gratifying and indulging the financial markets (which produce nothing, but only richness for big speculators and the power of financial lobbies to influence the choices of individual states 🤨) means fueling a virtuous circle that brings wealth to the entire Country-system. Having said that, I think Mrs. Truss' economic policy, with some adjustments, might makes some sense. However, I still hope for you all (and it's not a secret 😊) that Mr. Johnson can come back to his role as PM.

What an amazing episode! Thank you very much Luke and Mr. Thompson for taking the time to record it. It was fantastic to watch the report this time rather than just listen to it.
Not only did I have a listening exercise, but also an explanation of how things work in the British politics. It's helpful because I do read the news, and sometimes I don't get what all the fuss about. Having someone explaining the events so eloquently like this, is just wonderful. For me, it wasn't too complicated, and I understood the whole conversation.
