Hello Luke, I recommend to have a podcast about drought in Europe and UK.
Turkish here. There are closet toilets and classic toilets in modern houses. The classic toilet is more hygienic, healthier, and most importantly, it does not freeze your region in winter. And we don't call it Turkish toilet
I recently found out your podcast and have started studying with it. I actually used to listen to videos in American English. You made me get interested in British English. I'll keep listening to your podcast.

Also in Italy we call it Turkish toilet. It used to be popular until the fifties I guess. I saw one recently in the courtyard of an old public housing and still used as a café's toilet. It is actually quite hygenic because only your feet touch the toilet. It also puts you in what doctors call an anatomically correct position =)

Yesterday I had a really funny conversation. I told a friend about some words from the Podcast and the friend did'nt believe me, you don't say "Downtown" in british English. The argument was the series "Downtown Abbey" is set in Britain. :D

Very interesting, here in Brazil candy is "bombom" too or a translation of sweets "doces" in PT

As a Turkish listener, I would like to add something about toilet hygiene. We are using water for cleaning ourselves after the toilet thing. It is quite an effective way. By the way, Luke, you are the best...😊

It seemed to me that you say "grocery" differently: you Luke say like "gro sə ry" and Sarah say like "gro ʃə ry" or something like that (if I'm not wrong).

Greeting from Indonesia....talking about toilet that Indonesia traditionally has a toilet which is at the same level with the floor that user step ...so user has to squat down. ...it will confuse European n American I think.

We Turks say it 'Ayakyolu'(the way to feet) or 'Hela' 😀
Turkish toilet is healthier than others, but it's better to have both some people can't use the Turkish , Especially those with feet or back pain
