Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about the fillet and chamfer tools in the comments below!

Hi, can we make a chamfer with 2 different distances? (Like the Fusion 360 allows it)

I love Rhino, it was the real 3D and modeling program I learned. I used it over many years. Now I use Fusion 3D to model hard surfaces. The hability to go back at any point in the model process and be able to change the diameter or size of a fillet or chamfer (or anything really) is invaluable. The modeling parametric capabilities of Fusion 360 are very different than the ones you get with Grasshopper.

@TheRhinoEssentials how do you chamfer and fillet while retaining object integrity? whenever i fillet for example, it creates a surface corresponding to the beveled edge and another surface that caps the bevel. I always have to select everything and join so as to have a solid object.

Is there a way to fillet an edge and specify a custom center point? This would mean that the radius is larger than the model, but the circle would be tangent to both edges with a specific radius. Currently, Rhino fails to perform a fillet if the radius is larger than the object. The object is designed around a sphere and there isn't really a way to view the image from a given plane because it's out in space. Another question would be, can Rhino give you a viewport from a certain point to be a c-plane from a line in space parallel or perpendicular to the point?

The answer to the first question is explained in the video. Alternatively maybe I just don’t understand the question.
You add a handle between the extremes, you can place it at any custom center point you want.

Amazing video, do you know how to fillet a corner but inwards, make it concave ?

You will need to model it uisng a surface or a boolean

a Questioooon I need to do the Chamferedge command but I need to edit one side longeer, I mean, the chamfer to be longer in one corner or surface than the other (When its done in the edge) but the command only has an option that cannot be longer than the vertical surface of the object of polysurface.

      You need to use _ChamferSrf
You can also use _MoveEdge to adjust once the chamfer is done

I have been having a fillet issue with a project I’m working on, the edges are 4 different directions from one point and after I fillet them, a hole is made after intersecting fillets. How do I tackle that?

You need to split your surfaces and build the corner using a loft

unfortunatrely it is not easy to fillet anything wich is more complicated than cylider in this software

Rhino fillets aren't very good, but you can build almost any shape using curves an lofts. Fusion 360 is much more good with fillets

not a single indication about chamfer degrees. i went through this video for absolutely no reason
