Bunny, you put more than enough disclaimers about the dolls and bones and taxidermy so don't feel bad about showing the items you love. She kept saying "I don't know I might edit this out" or "people are really freaked out by this I'm so sorry if this upsets you" which is why I love her, she's so sweet and caring of everyone, but I wish she didn't feel so bad about showing the items she's taken so long to collect. I don't think ANY of it is odd or scary. I think it's all wonderful. She's keeping these antique items from being tossed in the trash. Just like the photos. Instead of being in the bottom of a landfill these people's memories are safe and displayed and honored and still being kept alive.

Please don't handle or touch any old taxidermy. If you do wash your hands right away. I collect that kind of stuff too and found out that the chemicals they used way back in the day were very caustic and can enter your body through your skin. It's beautiful and wonderful to keep the history of those things alive, but important to stay safe!

Those "ghost portraits" at 8:50 are actually dauguerreotypes. They're made by a chemical process of mercury vapor on a silver plate. Please make sure you are storing those properly Bunny because they are ultra rare!

Brianne Johnson They suggest keeping them out of direct sunlight and out of extreme temperatures/ moisture. They have a high risk of deteriorating, so it's usually best if they stay in the cases they came in, but it looks like the ones she has are already out, which is why they are starting to fade.

seriously, three of the things I have sent her have been on her videos. Which for me, is an incredible thrill. A bag, with skeleton fabric I made (she put her brushes in it!) and a miniature felted rabbit I made (an unboxing and I was so happy to hear her say she loves when people send their talents via gifts to her....so everyone draw,paint, whatever, she loves it... and now the skate.) She does appreciate her fans so much.

I sent her a bracelet along with some other things. The bracelet was featured in the swamp family mail video, but have never ever seen her wear it once after that. And that was probably 2-3 years ago. I highly doubt she keeps everything she's sent, as it's quite an incredible amount.

You really have an amazing eye. The things you pick are fascinating and i totally get the appeal.
The "ghost portraits" at 8:35 are faded daguerreotypes. The image is printed on a silver plate which is sealed under glass. The ones you have on the shelf above are also daguerreotypes, intact in their cases. If they're taken out, the seal is broken and they eventually tarnish and lose the image.
It always amazes me how much more beautiful handwriting was years and years ago. Its like everybody's penmanship was always on point!!!

We used to have penmanship class and in my school it had to adhere to very strict guidelines, i.e. the shapes of each letter, size of loops, slant of words and they had better be legible. As a left hander it was very difficult because I naturally slant the other way, but I learned to write their way but it never became natural. One school wouldn't even let me use my left hand but thankfully I switched schools pretty quickly. I do wish cursive was still taught but I understand why it's not. I just have always been a firm believer in learning the manual way of doing things...in case electronics crap out, you can still function.

Right? I remember when she felt she had to make a video apologizing for her first "weird candy" video because so many people got butthurt about it. It was ridiculous! Sorry not sorry, but most Mexican candy, like some she tried, I don't like. I'm not big on the super sour/salty/spicy stuff, let alone on candy. That's not my cup of tea, and I shouldn't have to walk on eggshells when talking about it, either. Nor should Bunny have to. It's not like she bashed anyone, either.
The apology video was ridiculous. All because some people think if some one hates the candy they grew up with, they must hate them and their people. Mexican candy is very unique and unlike most candies you'd see around the world. Spicy candy isn't my cup of tea. If that's all it takes to hurt some one's feelings, good luck to them in life
Stephanie Holly I love the little fawn from France, I can tell the taxidermist posed it with a lot of love and care to make sure it looked perfectly natural. so young, it was likely found and not killed.
Karakara agreed I'm mexican and grew up with that candy my husband is white and he Hates chamoy or anything with lime and chilli powder even the smell of it I love all of the above, not everyone's gonna like the same things and some people don't understand that, that's OKAY lol

Bunny, don't know if you know, but the baby in 6:31 is actually a baby Jesus Christ figure. Most catholic families in Latinamerica have them blessed and take care of them so they give protection to the family and their homes, it's actually a very old tradition. It's so comforting knowing that there's other people out there that appreciate these kinds of things, saving them from being scrapped or forgotten about, i'm a second hand and vintage mannequin collector myself but always keep an eye out for aged dolls and things of the sort, so hard to find here in the uk though I've found

You clearly genuinely respect and love collecting. Given the beauty, age, rarity and delicacy of some of your items could I recommend you protect them more eg the stunning patchwork quilts could be beautifully framed, some of the fabric items could be shelved with glass doors (lead would look stunning!!) in front which I think would only add to the beauty of the room?! You could set up a 'dolls hospital' website or start advertising for people to send their spare parts to you, you have many pieces that could repair someone's treasured doll....or they may feel it needs to come live with you.
maybe you could paint a tree on a spare wall and hang all the portraits on the branches

I have a friend who does this. She says she feels sad that people didn't keep their relative's photos and she feels like it does them honour to display them in her home. Like, they can't be with family, so they are at home now in her home. I thinks it's sweet, and it makes her feel good to do something like that. hmm She's a bit older than Bunny, but they along with my youngest stepdaughter, could all be friends! :)

I don't usually like room tours lol but this was sooooo interesting to watch. I loved when you actually picked up some stuff or touched it, made a noise with it lol felt like I was touching it! As opposed to a lot of people that just glaze over their room really fast.

I am cracking up! I'm a newish subscriber but I've seen a ton of your videos. I had no idea you liked baby dolls so much and at first I was creeped put by all of them but now that I see how passionate you are about them I find it kind of humorous, but in a good way. it's cute.
My grandpa has made wooden links like that before and its amazing to see the progress! He starts off with one solid chunk of wood and just carves it - so they're never broken and are still in a sense one piece of wood. He gives them as wedding presents since the links are made from one piece and always together/bonded like a marriage which I think is pretty cute!

I'm a Quilter. I can tell you that the one quilt with the strawberries is called a scrap quilt. What a quilter will do is take a bunch of scrap fabric and stitch them together then cut them into uniform squares and then sew them together to make a full quilt. It is a great way to use up your leftover fabric so it doesn't go to waste. I am currently in the very slow process of hand stitching one for my daughter
AccordingtoHannah do you think I could hand stitch a quilt like that (with that big of thread) with tshirt material? Or maybe stitch the tshirt material to some backing? I loved how all the stiches were different. i wish I knew how to do that. beautiful!
alliKAT49 I personally have never attempted to make a quilt like that but it is possible. I know lots of people who have made T shirt quilts and have been quite successful.
alliKAT49 I've made a tshirt quilt before and it definitely can be done but you need to sew or iron on backing material to stop it stretching out of shape when you sew. I used a sewing machine to save time rather than hand sewing it

Idea for the doll parts that don't have a body: make a mobile out of them (or maybe a few). you could hang the mobiles from your ceiling and have them on display rather than just in a pile. love your collection! I've been dying to see it since your very first uncommon objects haul.
this is an idea mainly for the arms/legs, but you could use it with whatever parts you'd like

Hey Bunny. The light that you have that's made out of "baskets", is actually made out of minnow traps! You attach the two pieces together, toss your bait in facing away from the water flow, and the minnows swim in. I figured you'd find that interesting. I have a few of them myself. 😊

This is oddly really really inspiring. I hope my paintings end up being in a home as loving as yours some day. I don't know if that makes much sense but what I'm trying to say is that it's really refreshing to see someone who loves and appreciates odd art as much as you do and it gives me hope for my own work finding happy homes.

i love this! i would love to just walk inside i could spend hours upon hours looking at everything in there. i love old stuff like that getting to learn the history of what life was like hundreds of years ago. seeing old kids toys, looking at portraits, seeing the fashion, reading old journal entries, it's just so fascinating to me. i love how bunny appreciates everything in that room she knows everything has a story behind it, and doesn't just see it as a decoration.❤️

You should get the LED strip lights to under mount on your displays. Its a pretty affordable option that will really show case all of your amazing pieces.

LED are the safest option. Its not a physical light bulb they are flat, and most people use them for collections. My grandpa is a fireman.

Hello Jelly Ikr, but remember people are super sensitive. Matthew Santoro had thousands of people unsub because of a tumbnail with holes, because they were triggered. I can understand her fear of offending people. I also find it interesting how someone can get disturbed watching a youtuber called "grav3yardgirl". I know she does beauty videos now but her channel started off as her being her creppy loving awkward self.

I'm redoing my room atm and I'm working out how to display my tiny clown dolls and knickknacks. People were a lot smaller physically in the 1800s so those could be women's gloves too. Love antiques too 😃

8:35 i'm pretty sure those portraits are daguerreotypes, so they're all from between 1839 and 1860-ish (when it was pushed out of photography by more efficient and cheaper processes.) the daguerreian process is really cool because they would polish sheets of silver-plated copper, treat it so that it was more sensitive to light, and then expose it in a camera like a piece of film!!! it's super neat, I wish I could find some daguerreian portraits!!

Beatrice Orizzonte you don't, it takes away a ton of value if she ever sells anything which I doubt, but usually antique collectors would rather scratch their eyes out than clean up the rust and debris from their valuable antiques! Haha it's super unhealthy though I couldn't stand being in that room my grandma was a hoarder and I can't stand all that junk all over so claustrophobic lol

I have a teeny tiny oddities collection and I also collect VHS. Once a fortnight I carefully (especially with the oddities) remove them from the shelves and dust
