I own a 20 fxlrs that I love! But I've had to dump soooo much $$$$ into it just to perform like this! The way things have been going lately for Harley... I'm almost 99.9% sure I'm buying a Super Cruiser!
No amount of money will make a Harley perform like this. The weigh in on this bike is under 450 pounds on 17” super bike tires. Unless you strip every Harley part off the bike and replace it with something else until it’s not a Harley anymore, including the motor. The only closely relatable aspect of the two bikes is styling from 10 feet away.
@blsforlife there's M8 motors putting out more power than this motor... you can most definitely make a Harley perform better than this bike! Know what your talking about before you start going on a keyboard rant lol!
@blsforlife the fxlrs platform is just as capable as the super cruiser. You can get the bike weight substantially lower, the M8 motor is very capable of putting out 200hp and 200ft lbs of torque and there's guys getting bigger numbers everyday. The fxlrs has an inverted front end, monoshock in rear, and the exact same rider position. Your lying to yourself if you think the low rider s can't compete with this bike. It just unfortunately comes at the cost of alot of money... some folks have it.... some don't! Simple!
@@spoom937 650 pounds on a 16” rear and 19” front and an engine that peaks under 5k rpm. You guys keep dreaming. Like I said. No amount of money is gonna make a Harley do what this bike will do. They are not even in the same ball game. MAYBE a drag race, never on a track or canyon.
@@spoom937the super cruiser is comprised of superbike parts, suspension, wheels brakes, motor, head geometry. It’s a superbike dressed up like a cruiser. There isn’t a thing about the Harley that even puts it in the same category. This bike shares more similarities to a Ducati than a Harley. Why even compare?
Not at all a fan of normal cruisers but this is a freakin most it’s insane. I want one and I’m not gonna lie I’d love to somehow turn it into a bobber they’re my personal favorite look. Imagine a super cruiser bobber lol it’s absolutely fly
Me too I can't get this thing out of my head. I ride with a group that wants you to have American bikes, but I am a squid at heart and love carving corners on a light, agile and torquey bike, so this bike that seems like the big brother of an FXR who powerlifts is the perfect blending of both worlds
I did my first Track Day at Gratan about 4 weeks ago. I would like to go again, but I have since hit a deer and I had to order new parts like a Radiator and fork tubes ect. for my Yamaha FZ-07 .. Meanwhile I will put my Buell Ulyesses back together as I took the tail section off to pull out the ran that was blowing fuses.
I think another big twin motorcycle is the last thing I need in life, but I cannot wait to buy one of these. But preferably in RSD prototype form. Willing to move from CA to NV if necessary.
When will marketing and advertising realize music over engine sounds is unwanted, people want to hear the motorcycle or car they're buying. Sound is a selling point ! Kaplan cycles has been the best advertising for the Buell products so far they're using the motorcycles as people would if they bought them.
How do these do against newer R1s and 4 banger imports on the tracks? Are we just not going to talk about the bike that pulled up at 8:40?! We need an updated Ulysses X or something similar. Given how much the adventure bike market has blown up im surprised yall didnt jump on an adventure style bike as well. Nice looking rides forsure from the new Buell team hopefully ill get to ride one of the newer ones.
A bike like this will never be competition for sport platforms like the R1. The whole idea of a super cruiser being "competitive" is a non-starter. It's a cruiser that can go fast, and that's all anyone should ever expect from it.
Would love to see a super cruiser drag race or roll race some different bike's like 1000's , built harley's, ktm super duke? See how it stacks up against the best.
I’m so happy that you guys are back and better than ever. Has anyone seen the new Harley agenda? Let’s just say I’ll never ride one again… I’ll see y’all on a Super Cruiser.
I know they're doing rides at Sturgis this year but it might be limited to people who have already lined up and signed paperwork, since they are still working with a limited number of Super Cruisers. You'd have to ask directly though :)
Well, at least it doesn't have forward pegs. I know buyers clamor for the styling and the perceived holy grail is 'look like a cruiser but go fast' it doesn't really work. Even if you fixed the too high bars, the too low seat, the too low pegs, etc it still weighs probably 200 lbs more than it should. People that really know how to ride fast don't want any of this. If the cruiser boys taught themselves what fast really is they wouldn't want cruiser styling anymore either. My holy grail: Abandon all pretense of styling. When it is fast as hell, that becomes the styling. No fairings, no clip-ons. Very low rise bars. Pegs high enough to never drag and not a bit higher. Seat high enough to accommodate the legs on those pegs. Ohlins and Brembo. Minimal everything. Weight close to 300 lbs. Put the styling budget into saving weight. Step back and look at that when you are done and it will blow your mind. Don't build bikes for what riders that don't know better say they want. Teach them and then build what they need.
@@GenghisKhan311 I do build them, but just for myself. If what I liked was popular enough for me to make a living at it then it would already be available.
I was listening--until "300 lbs". Sure. Add lightness. I always remove 15-25 pounds off every bike I own with titanium exhaust and lithium battery, removal of pollutions crap. But you realize a meager KTM 690 single cylinder superemoto is 325 lbs--right?
@@tomtraynor5384 Those are stock weights of current production bikes. Which goes to my point, if what I wanted was popular someone would already make it. I'm currently building a 1000cc Ducati that is under 300 lbs. You have to pay to play and no one wants to. If everyone demanded it, the prices for it would be far lower.
All of our models feature the Buell 1190cc V-Twin engine assembled at our factory in Grand Rapids, MI. The Buell 1190 was originally co-developed by Erik Buell and Rotax together, and since then we have taken the platform and evolved it to what you see today, with the same Rotax base.

Not really into Super Cruiser "styling exercise" type bikes. Nor track bikes. I'll take a look a pure naked or sport tourer with integrated panniers, if that is happening.

Very rare the production model retains much of the prototype. You guys did an awesome job, such a beautiful bike!

I really liked that high seat. I hope we can get something like that after release.

Where is the Buell Super Touring? I am still more interested in that.
That bike should go into production in hyper drive. Watching all this woke business with the motor company, I'm ready to sell the bagger and buy one.
It's coming :)
Hey, I use a 4m Q7 for track days too lol.

The only negatives about the Super Cruiser is the stock exhaust and the truly ignorant ignition placement.

What’s with the oil smoke on startup at 2:08? Either way love Buell and please build a bagger! 😊👍🏼

Are these going to be available in South Australia?
Yes! We are expanding our international distribution network now. Stay tuned as we finalize development.
Skip to 6:00 if you came for the SUPERCRUISER and not the rest.
Can't wait for these to be on the street. What is the release date looking like?
Production is expected to start in 2025!

Bagger series first , then release to public ???
What? They would have to add 250 Pounds of Ballast to it to race in the Bagger races.

Hey Buell, drop the music. Lets here the bike, isnt that the whole point?????
ready to trade my low rider s for a super cruiser... any dealers in florida?
No dealers that sell them in FL... just display models. That may change of course for 2025.
Sick!

Any 1/8 & 1/4 mile numbers, drag strip visit to share yet?
Please change that backlights and the Exust of that Super Cruiser, it looks terrible like a Kawasaki Vulkan, the rest is awsome
Whoever is editing all your videos needs to turn the music settings down holy cow man.
Time to sell this bike! Especially since Harley sucks!
Keep pushing out that release date and it will be just another prototype.
Please drop the goofy front brake/disc.
