  • Cloudy day at camp, we filmed a quick demo of how we can top up the two 40L onboard water tanks in the wilderness.

Not so long ago picked up a 76 after having a 130 defender. Having so much less space and fitting everything in is a challenge. You guys seem to have done it well. Really interested in where you have put your 2 onboard tanks? Are they in the infills? Size/brand

The Thirsty Nomad have a creek draw kit that includes pump, battery and a filter/purifier system that kills bacteria. Being portable, you can use it to pump water from a creek 10-20m away, or use it to pump drinking water from your tanks (purifying at the point of use is always the best). You can also buy just the filter/purifier.

    Nice easy idea.
Any chance you could do a vid on how you've set the rear seat area up?
I want to remove my seats and set the rear up for touring with cargo barrier behind front seats.
    Cheers
    Mick

Nice one👍, i think i have the same pump , mine is a rule i think.
It works great, we lowered it of a log bridge in the cape and filled our tanks.
I use a best water filter.
    Thanks for sharing

Rule, that's the one. This filter is due to be replaced, we're planning a Best filter too. Endless service life sounds perfect for us and the planet.

I just found your channel! As someone who loves the outdoors myself this is so much fun. We just had to get rid of our Disco . But looking for the next vehicle for chapter 2 in our life. This water set up is a great idea.
I’d love if we could support each other as we grow. I’ll see you out in the trail.

Hi guys, random Q, but are you running any sort of rear track correction? We were running KM2 305/70/16 rears -55 offset and just gone back to stock GXL wheels (had enough of the shake and wobbles from BGF range). Haven't driven in sand as yet (or any offroad for that matter) as we just swapped back over. How do you rate the Toyos? Are they loud on the road?

SATURDAYS ARE FOR THE BOYS Hi mate, we have the Jmacx rear diff housing with track correction. The Toyo MT were quiet for the probably the first 10thou before wearing in, but they’re not super loud. Used to use aggressive all terrains before that were louder.
