My great granny (who's still with us and 90) shares the same birthday as Mickey Mouse ❤ every year for her birthday, we get her Mickey Mouse balloons and fill the house with them!

Wow your great granny was born and share same birthday as my Grandma who is 90 years old too. My great granny passed away at age 97 in 1994.

I kid you not, I was walking all over that section looking for Wayne Allwine and read every single headstone. I thought he wasn’t actually there. Glad to know the spot for next time. Wayne was definitely my childhood Mickey, but you gotta love all of them for helping maintain Mickey’s likeability .

One thing I like to share with my Disney fans is a bit of a story passed down to me. Before he died, my grandfather told me stories of when he was younger and how his mother used to take him down to the studio. From what I know, he told me my great grandmother was apart of Snow White and Bambi and she was apparently a secretary for the company. My grandfather told me he got to see the deer on the studio lot as the animators were looking them over for study. I re-call asking him if he ever got any drawings from the artists and he told me he did, but he never kept them because, well, he probably didn't see any value in keeping them. I don't know much or remember anything else that my grandfather told me, but this is all I can share.
I've been a fan of Disney for years and appreciate all the time, work and effort the man, the company and the talents went through to provide entertainment for children of all ages. It's sad the original and I do mean original studio is gone. Torn down into a parking lot/grocery store. It makes you wonder what it must have been like, but the Buena Vista location still stands. I'd thought I share a bit of history with everyone. I sadly can't find any easily accessible records of my great grandmother working for Disney, but if anyone knows anyway to get a hold of information, I'd be interested.

As a kid i never missed a Mickey Mouse club episode on tv or a Walt Disney Movie! He was perfect for our generation! It is great that these movies can be seen today by this generation , thanks to the never ending modern and growing knowledge of technology!!

I believe Wayne's grave finally received a marker last year after Russi Taylor's (his wife, and the voice of Minnie Mouse) death and burial in an adjacent plot. The grave's inscription (according to FindAGrave.com) reads "Not where I Breathe, But where I Love, Live" as well as "MM3", which I think means "Mickey Mouse 3" (since he's the third voice of the character).

I wanted to add that I have never heard of Ising ever having worked on Plane Crazy. I know that Disney kept Mickey Mouse a secret from the animators that Mintz was stealing away with the Oswald series. Just wanted to add that in, just because I have never heard this before, and have never been able to find any proof to back up this particular story.
