they are new to kpop when they start making comparisons. we thank BTS bringing more people to kpop but theres more thousand reasons why kpop exist. and when they start comparing lets just start educating. kpop is a fact a cookie cutter industry. almost all the selling point is that "they" are different with different marketing strategy but generally the same. but stray kids is one of handful groups that among gems you will find a very rare diamond- raw and unpolished. it is for the foundlings to see its value when they start to polish it.
I do appreciate that SKZ had a chance to write and produce themselves from the beginning under JYP, & they’ve done so well and worked so hard. Still under appreciated in Korea, but hopefully they’ll keep working hard, producing quality music, & growing their fan base :-)

Ooo yes stray kids *chef’s kiss* so I’ve been meaning to recommend Twice to y’all. Completely different style, they are on the cuter/glam style. And like they recently came onto the late show with Stephen Colbert to perform their song ,”I can’t stop me.” Which was also *chef’s kiss* but would def love to see y’all react to them since I don’t think y’all have yet. I was so speechless too, my brain is still trying to process the meaning of the song and MV. I did figure out that “Shin” / “Shen” word means both “God” and “New” which either one can be applied to this title track 👀 They literally became GODS OF THE KITCHEN, scientist construction area, nascar, marching band etc in this video which I think speaks for itself and dont even get me started on the fashion & visuals because OMG i’m dead. They’ve been this hardcore swag since predebut and still to this day and they have soft adorable side to them too on and off camera. Also, In Kpop and Korea they’re not saying the american “N” word it only sounds like it, the “naega” word in their language means “I” or “you” in korean. Everyone who doesn’t understand abit about the language & meanings have that reaction especially when they hear the “naega” word; which is very commonly used allot in the asian culture & music. It’s not the same as the american “N” word, which allot of westerners got too comfortable hearing or saying and assumes automatically when they hear it from a foreigner that’s what they mean but its not in this case; it has nothing to do with african americans at all.*

Never compare groups. You can have opinions as to which kpop group you like best but saying things like "BTS cousins" "ARMY or Stray Kids" is too much. All kpop groups are amazing and you can be part of every fandom. 💜
I think it is okay to compare. That is why we have standards, branding, quality checks. It is weird to avoid those discussion if they aim to be meaningful and constructive, trying to express things you have experienced. It's exhausting to hear "sanitized" version of thoughts because of backlash. This is absurd! People can talk about NSync vs Westlife vs Backstreet Boys. Why can't it be the same in Kpop groups?
I recommend you also to listen to NCT (under SM Entertainment). NCT is a male group that stands for Neo Culture Technology. They are now 21 members, but their number is unlimited, so new members will be added. It also consists of the fact that most of them are foreigners. For now there are four sub units: NCT 127, NCT U, NCT Dream and WayV. They also released a song: "Black On Black"-NCT 2018 where there were 18 members (the total number of members in 2018). Sub units will increase over time as members.

Ooo yes stray kids *chef’s kiss* so I’ve been meaning to recommend Twice to y’all. Completely different style, they are on the cuter/glam style. And like they recently came onto the late show with Stephen Colbert to perform their song ,”I can’t stop me.” Which was also *chef’s kiss* but would def love to see y’all react to them since I don’t think y’all have yet. Super diverse talented group! They have like five Korean, three Japanese, and one member from Taiwan. And ya just gotta see them :D when you get the chance!~

I was so speechless too, my brain is still trying to process the meaning of the song and MV. I did figure out that “Shin” / “Shen” word means both “God” and “New” which either one can be applied to this title track 👀 They literally became GODS OF THE KITCHEN, scientist construction area, nascar, marching band etc in this video which I think speaks for itself and dont even get me started on the fashion & visuals because OMG i’m dead. Their vlive showcase was amazing they were adorably funny at the same time being super handsome, theyre growing so fast ... this track is giving me so much of their previous albums Hellevator, District 9, Awaken, Miroh, Victory Song, Side Effects, Double Knot, and Levanter etc from beginning to end which makes me feel like they finally putting their storyline together in this new full album after so long of waiting. Also, In Kpop and Korea they’re not saying the american “N” word it only sounds like it, the “naega” word in their language means “I” or “you” in korean. Everyone who doesn’t understand abit about the language & meanings have that reaction especially when they hear the “naega” word; which is very commonly used allot in the asian culture & music. It’s not the same as the american “N” word, which allot of westerners got too comfortable hearing or saying and assumes automatically when they hear it from a foreigner that’s what they mean but its not in this case; it has nothing to do with african americans at all.*

I think it is okay to compare. That is why we have standards, branding, quality checks. It is weird to avoid those discussion if they aim to be meaningful and constructive, trying to express things you have experienced. It's exhausting to hear "sanitized" version of thoughts because of backlash. This is absurd! People can talk about NSync vs Westlife vs Backstreet Boys. Why can't it be the same in Kpop groups?

NCT is a male group that stands for Neo Culture Technology. They are now 21 members, but their number is unlimited, so new members will be added. It also consists of the fact that most of them are foreigners. For now there are four sub units: NCT 127, NCT U, NCT Dream and WayV. They also released a song: "Black On Black"-NCT 2018 where there were 18 members (the total number of members in 2018). Sub units will increase over time as members.

Also I'm glad you guys reacted to this song I don't know much about Stray Kids but Ive been getting to know them and this song immediately grabbed me so I'm glad you checked it out. In my opinion, Koreans in general dominate in fashion and I definitely agree when it comes to the production quality of their MV's everything is always elaborate and shot very well and the choreo is on point. It all just comes together so well to match the vibe of the song and tell a story.
