  • NOBODY has filmed this elevator since NationalElevator, alpalJL, and DieselDucy himself did, and that was about 3 years ago. It's about time we get an updated video of this EPIC freight elevator. Shockingly, the max capacity is only 5,000 lbs! It is SUPER TALL and very fast for a freighter. I'm so happy that I got to experience this elevator in person. My friend and I decided to head to SF for a day and I filmed as many elevators as I could. To start the day off, we rode this, one of the best elevators in SF!

      Yah, what was your second freighter? I remember the Montgomery's you rode as your first, but what was second?

    Interesting that the down chime rings while the car is still 1 floor up. Has a very sick buzzer, but wow that is a fast freight!

      Otis elevators always ring the down chime when not on the bottom floor.

      @@davidng2336Strange, I've been on one where the Basement is locked so when it arrived on the Ground floor (1 floor above the basement) the up chime would ring, which makes sense considering the only way it would go down is if there was a call or the basement floor button would be unlocked.

      @@Jamestube8439 tbh I’m not 100% sure on how they determine the chimes. This is just my assumption.

    What’s on the 6th floor because I saw on these TH-cam elevator videos that the freight elevator serves the 6th floor

    I love that mall, especially with the round escalators. What part is it in? I'd love to ride it but could get in big trouble

    Smart move closing it from the inside. It takes about three minutes to close from the outside.
    Looks like the ages is only ordinary wear and tear. Glad you got an update. When did you film this? Today? A month or so ago? I'm simply curious. Have a nice evening.

      alpalJL I learned the door timer trick from one of your videos. This was filmed in August

      @atomstarfireproductions8695 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      alpalJL wait what is the door timer trick?

    • @isaac24
      @isaac24 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Close it from the inside, then leave. It takes forever if you close it from the outside call button, rather than to press door close inside then leave.

    No way that only holds 5000 lbs... that has to be an error

      Elevation Station Productions more like an error in the installation process. The panel etching says 5,000 and the certificate says that too.

      Maybe they decided to install a regular heavy duty traction motor intended for passenger elevators, instead of a motor meant for a freight elevator? Though most passenger motors only carry around 4,000 pounds, maybe they used one intended for larger passenger elevators?
