I hope you have better luck with the store bought starts, I may have to do the same thing. When I put our tomato plants out to harden off last Friday they weren't looking too good, they're about 8 weeks old. Branches falling off at the slightest touch, and leaves withering up from the tip to the main branch of the plant, and the main stem fine hairs don't look right. I don't know if it is a fungus or what but I concluded I may end up having to by starts, I'd rather do that then go a whole season without fresh tomatoes. I sprayed with neem oil, they do seem to be doing better now that they're outside, but we'll see. At the same time our pepper plants are looking amazing as they always do right before I put them out to harden off.
We had a couple days of rain 🌧 and I believe the tomatoes were still weak from the transition to outside. It's still early in the growing season so hopefully the starts will do fine. I'm only growing 1 variety that I can't buy (Roma Gladiator) but I've already started those over from seed. Good luck with your 🍅
Nice sharing👍

I’m sorry that’s happening. Be sure to spray the stakes, too. Take care ♥️
Will do. Thanks

That sucks Jay, it’s still early in the season for starts to give you some nice tomatoes 🍅
Just picked some up. I'll be dropping them in this weekend.
